Feel the rod-bending excitement of a Bear Lake cutthroat on the end of your fishing line. Sail off into the sunset. Richmond, Utah

Bunchgrass yurt is a 16-foot diameter yurt that provides shelter and comfort for non-motorized winter pursuits for up to six people. Sleeping is provided on bunks, equipped with six nice, thick Paco Pads. The yurt is equipped with a wood stove for heat and melting snow for water, a snowmelt pot (only to be used for drinking water), a two burner propane stove for cooking, LED lanterns, and all the utensils, silverware, cookware and crockery needed for your meals. There are drip cones and paper filters for coffee making and to filter snowmelt if so desired. There is ample TP. Paper towels are stocked, but some groups run through rolls in days and may or may not be there. Ample cloth towels are stocked. Private privies are set off from the yurts for nature's call. These pit toilets can be taxed towards the end of the season, so there is a strict policy to not put toilet paper in the privy. Instead, used TP must be placed in paper bags after use (paper bags are provided). At the end of your stay, or as needed, burn the bag in the wood stove (with a small fire, of course). Future guests will appreciate your compliance. And there is ample hand sanitizer.

        All alone and loved it

Yes, there were mosquitoes, cows, and a bit of green water, but it was very peaceful and beautiful. Whenever the options are a crowded and powered RV campsite versus a peaceful boondock such as this, we opt for the latter. Hope you enjoy it.

Great camping and great hot springs

This is one of my favorite places on earth. They have tent sites, van sites and a selection of shelters to choose from. Camping gets you access to the hot springs from check in until 4pm the next day. There’s running water in the bathhouse with a toilet and shower. There’s yoga classes included in the price as well. The bathhouse also has a nice little shop with snacks and gifts. They sell tinfoil dinners too if you want to really relax. Highly recommend! They offer volunteer days as well where you can camp and soak in exchange for volunteer work.

        OK Camp ground

Just arrived at the camp site, not to big, the sites have shadow from trees (not all). Restrooms are not really clean, water of the pool seems to be a bit dirty. Next to paid activities there are some stuff kids can do for free.

        Great stay!

Just a one night stay on our way headed north but wish we could have stayed longer… lots of sites that really have a lot of privacy and back right up to the forest. Also trails right if the campsite. Super well maintained and bathrooms were clean. Also huckleberry picking right from camp! Gorgeous area, will definitely go back again.

We love finding campgrounds with unique elements. Hot springs and water slides fit the bill. Tight spots, no sewer were the only downsides. Great groups there during our stay, easy to get around. Nice amenities. Beautiful sunrise and nice staff. It’s a no frills with frills kind of place.

        Great stay, would totally return!

Got in late around 2100. Plenty of spots available in the back without electric. I did get a spot right next to the lake. Has picnic table, firepit, and charcoal grill available. I camped out of the back of my truck. There is a road that runs on the north side of the ground that can be loud from passing traffic, otherwise quiet. Handicap accessible bathrooms and showers, plenty of hot water!

Stayed here on a road trip across the west. Easy late check-in, quiet (mostly RVs), and hot showers. Perfect for a night in the Logan area — it’s located within a neighborhood on a lake. Felt much safer than other rustic options nearby. Would stay again if I were passing through. There are a couple cabins for rent (which you can see in my photo). There are features located near the bathrooms sharing historical info, where I enjoyed learning the history of this area that is the Cache Valley. We enjoyed our morning coffee with a beautiful view!

This was the first time that we stayed in a yurt, and it is a game changer.  It is honestly so nice once in a while to not have to put up camp or break camp.  For a nice, glamping getaway this is the place to be.  The grounds are beautiful, the host is kind, it is so quiet, and there was a lot of wildlife.  I recommend it for those who don't want to miss the comforts that they have at home, or just for those of us who tent camp and want to make is even more special once in a while.

        Lovely, clean and friendly

This place is spotless and well-cared for.

We are car camping in a Tesla and the destination charge gave us the oomph to go up to Jackson WY the more scenic way via Soda Springs . We were the only guests (weekday after the kids are back in school=quiet time.) Got some road tips and local history from the friendly camp hosts and had a very pleasant stay!

        Bridger Campground

        First campground in the canyon

Great trails and a beautiful river. The double site in the back is my favorite (except the abandoned camper across the road). Very wooded. Campsites have firepit and picnic tables. Water source but no water hookups. Vault toilets were clean and looked new.

If this campground is full, continue up the canyon. Great sites along this road.

Great alternative to camping in town

Loved the peacefulness of this campground.

Way fewer people and way more remote than in town camping. Each campsite has a fire pit and a picnic table. There’s our bathroom area as well as water access. Loved how wooded and private it seemed. Short drive into town or access water.

In my opinion, the drive is worth it as this is way more peaceful than any area campground.

        Glamping at Conestoga

Ranch had a variety of accommodations luxury tents, the Joshua tree house, or the covered wagons. The covered wagons are super unique and can sleep up to six. Good views of Bear Lake.

Prices range from $209-$399 per night.

        Bear Lake/Marina Side KOA Holiday

        Tons of activities

Close to Bear Lake Marina and rentals and tons of great activities. Cabins, tiny homes, a variety of camper and campsites. Activities range from basketball, pickle ball, bounce area, mini golf, shuffle board, sand volleyball, and a pool as well as hot tub. Great bathrooms/wash house.

Cons: very busy but you can almost always expect that with a KOA.

        Montpelier Creek KOA

        Below average for a KOA

Boasts some creek side sites. Sites are very close together, water pressure is not great. Lot of roadside noise. The creek has a nice flow. Site was pretty level, great cell service through Verizon. WiFi sucks. Very “rustic” looking campground. It was OK for one night but I wouldn’t want to stay here any longer.

        Great Free campsites

I've camped here several times since I was a child. It's nice that there is a river that runs nearby. There are about 50 campsites on a first come first served basis. The road gets narrower as you drive up the canyon and the campsites are spread out along the way over about 5+ miles. I wouldn't recommend going too far in with a big trailer. Fires are allowed only part of the year. The forest service puts flags in the fire pits when it gets too dry. There are hiking trails (such as leathams hollow) and a few rock climbing routes as well. Lots of people go four wheeling and motorcycling as well.

        Dirty and Run Down

The campsites were ok. Gravel back in campsite. Cabins were run down, public bathroom was nasty. Our kids enjoyed being so close to the water slide right next door. That was the highlight. The people who worked there were friendly. The entire place needs to be fixed up and cleaned. Garbage was over flowing. Overall I don’t recommend.

        Clean and Simple

Great little Rv park just off the highway and tucked in behind a hotel. You’re far enough off the road you don’t notice the highway noise. It can be a little hard to find just look for the Quality Inn and the entrance is on either side of it. The sites are super nice and level, and have great grass area to relax in.

        Beautiful Place To Camp

This is such a lovely place to camp. The campsite has many trails going down to the lake. Fir trees are everywhere, and the campground is very clean.

        One of the best!

My boys thought this was the greatest spot we’ve ever found…. Site 53 was by far the best in the camp. Large fire pit, at the back of the campground, the creek was 10 ft from our tent. Trail for hiking right there and the cleanest bathrooms! Camp host was friendly and helpful with on questions about exploring the area. My boys could have stayed two weeks fishing the creek! Lots of trout. Saw a moose! The water was freezing, but clean and refreshing. It was just the right altitude to provide relief from the summer heat. We did not have reservations but we’re able to find this spot and several others to chose from on a Monday-Wednesday. Seems it filled up with reservations from thurs -sun.
