      Falling Waters State Park Campground

      Falling Waters & Quietness

Camp sites have been renovated, all new gravel with railroad ties for retaining wall for the gravel.  Sites are all 50/30 amp with water.  Most of the sites are under shade.  It is a small campground with only 20 spots and some are tight if you have a big rig, but there are pull throughs for the big rigs.

      Staff was friendly and helpful.

Shower facilities were clean - at least mens.

I'd give it a 5 start but the dump station does not have the hose hookups for flushing your tanks, just draining.  So be sure to fill up your gray tank to wash down he black excretions.

I'll return because it was enjoyable area.

      River Junction - Lake Seminole

      Awesome surprise!

What an awesome surprise! COE campground on a dead end road (ends at the boat ramp) with water and power. Dump is just up the road on your way out of the park and super easy to get to. Level sites, nicely spaced and mostly shaded. I bet it’s even more beautiful in the spring and fall. Picnic table, fire pit, grill and a fish station at all sites. Walking distance to boat ramp and lake access. Pet friendly. Road in was paved and well maintained. First come first served and although there is a camp host on site there is no way to call to check availability. $20/night ($10/night senior citizen or Access Pass).

      Bainbridge Riverview Campground Bainbridge Georgia

Nestled along the Flint River with canopy of Live Oaks, peaceful trails ++

Disclaimer: we are current Camp Hosts at this city-owned campground in the Earle May Boat Basin Park. The city has totally redone this small, quiet campground and reopened it in Spring 2024.

There are 12 sites, 1 is reserved for Camp Hosts who are onsite 24/7. Sites are gravel, loop road is paved. 3 of the 11 available sites are wide back ins, the rest are very long pull through style. Most sites are nestled among the grove of live oak trees and pines that canopy the peaceful setting along the Flint River. All sites have electric(50/30/20/15) and water. There is an easy, level dump station for camping guest use only. The registered camping guests bath house is an older style but has also seen some upgrades.

A 2 mile riverfront paved walking trail takes you from the campground entrance into the historic downtown center filled with restaurants, breweries, boutiques, antique shops and cafes. Another nature trail loop at the CG entry has options for 3 to 5+ miles through dense old growth forest or around the boat basin itself.. All trails are basically flat and paved.

The campground also sits within the 300 acres Earle May Boat Basin, ideal for fishing enthusiasts. There is a small playscape in the campground and another laeger playgeound in the park which is walkable from the campground. Bainbridge is known as the Bass Fishing Capitol of Georgia! Each campsite also has a long picnic table, standing BBq grill and fire ring. Sites are wide. Sites 7, 8 and 12 are best for Starlink users as they have more open sky. Advance reservations are suggested and all reservations must be done BEFORE entering campground. It is no longer first come first served and reservation can ONLY be done online. Camp hosts do not have ability to make or change reservations or accept payment. Bainbridge has many festivals, concerts and special events all year long. Major big box stores, hardware stores, gas stations and grocery stores are within 2-3 miles of the campground. Rates in 2025 are $35 per night, currently no discounts offered. Max say length is 2 weeks. Campground is big rig friendly but loop road is narrow in some places so go slow!

We didn’t use any facilities so have no comment on those.

      Three Rivers State Park Campground

      A Great Florida State Park

Small, well maintained park and sites, with 30/50 amp and water hook ups. A pleasant surprise when we arrived, after miles of rural driving! GPS took us the correct way, but seemed we were lost! Staff greeted us at entrance, gave us a map and explained how to get to our site. It was raining, and our site was back-in and downhill, mostly level with gravel, a picnic table, has a fire-ring with grill grate. Bathhouse is clean and impressed how the trash area and dump station were placed away from campers. The dock/pier, and boat ramp, are at the back part of the campground, The amenities are nice and there is outdoor cleaning sink behind the bathhouse, sitting area overlooking the river, the fish cleaning station, fire pit area, trails, and canoe/kayak drying area. 3 concrete sites, as well as tent sites. Lots of spacing between most of the sites, some are waterfront. Wildlife is plentiful and the trails are a great way to enjoy it all! We will come back! And it’s only $20 a night!

    Guide to Paradise Acres

Campgrounds near Paradise Acres, Georgia sit along the Florida-Georgia border within the subtropical climate region that receives approximately 55 inches of annual rainfall. The area features a mix of pine flatwoods and riverfront ecosystems with most campgrounds positioned along major travel corridors. Temperatures remain moderate between 65-75°F during October to April when camping conditions are most favorable.

    What to do

Fishing at riverside locations: Ed and Bernices Fish Camp provides direct river access with a boat ramp for campers. "We kayaked and loved and I mean absolutely love being on this river. Did some swimming and fishing off the side. Caught some huge brim, they were delicious," noted one visitor about the Ed and Bernices Fish Camp and RV Park.

Wildlife observation: Several parks maintain natural habitat areas where campers can spot local fauna. "Beautiful, quiet country setting. Loved it!! Saw deer, many birds and gorgeous sunsets," commented a camper at Alliance Hill RV Resort. Children particularly enjoy the farm animals at some locations.

Day trips to state parks: The region contains multiple state parks within driving distance. "Park is within easy driving distance to 4 state parks and several small towns so we took day trips to sightsee," observed one Alliance Hill visitor. These excursions provide opportunities for hiking on maintained trails and exploring local towns.

    What campers like

River access points: Waterfront campsites remain highly popular among visitors to rv parks near Paradise Acres, Georgia. "Nestled along the banks of the Apalachicola River, it is just a beautiful site to see," wrote one camper about River Landing RV Park. Many sites include fishing platforms or direct water access.

Concrete pads at newer facilities: Several updated campgrounds feature improved site foundations. "All sites have been upgraded to level concrete with full hookups," noted one camper about Dothan RV Park. This feature particularly benefits larger motorhomes and fifth wheels requiring stable parking surfaces.

Proximity to supplies: Many RV parks position themselves near essential services. "Right on highway 231 south of Dothan, AL... Walmart is less than a mile with plenty of dining options within a minute or two," explained a visitor to Dothan RV Park. This convenience allows campers to resupply without long detours.

    What you should know

Highway noise considerations: Some campgrounds sit close to major roadways, creating ambient noise issues. "There is some road noise from I-10 but not a deal breaker," mentioned one camper about Hitchinpost RV Park. Sites farther from highways typically offer quieter conditions.

Size limitations at older facilities: Not all campgrounds accommodate larger modern RVs. "Far from the main road, down a steep rutted driveway, onto a grassy lot," cautioned one visitor about Ed and Bernices Fish Camp. Travelers with big rigs should verify site dimensions before booking.

Seasonal price fluctuations: Campground rates can vary significantly based on local events. "Was about double the nightly rate ($90!!!!) due to a FSU football game over the weekend but the place was only about 25% of capacity," reported a visitor to Tallahassee RV Park. Researching local event calendars helps avoid premium pricing periods.

    Tips for camping with families

Look for outdoor play spaces: Some campgrounds maintain specific recreation areas for children. "They have a pool, playground, and a clubhouse," mentioned one camper about Tallahassee RV Park. These amenities provide entertainment options beyond individual campsites.

Consider campgrounds with animal attractions: Farm animals at certain facilities entertain younger campers. "There is a petting zoo with baby goats and piglets here too," noted a visitor to Hitchinpost RV Park and Campground. These informal attractions occupy children during downtime.

Check bathroom cleanliness: Facility maintenance significantly impacts family comfort. "Restrooms are singles with showers and toilet. Nice and clean," reported one Tallahassee visitor. Multiple reviewers emphasize bathroom conditions as critical for family stays in Paradise Acres camping areas.

    Tips from RVers

Verify site levelness before setup: Uneven sites require additional equipment and effort. "Beautiful, quiet country setting... Spacious sites with cement pads," commented an Alliance Hill visitor. Properly leveled sites reduce setup time and equipment strain.

Confirm water hookup distances: Some campgrounds position utilities inconveniently. "The water spigot is 25 feet from the coach and the turn-on switch is an inch underground," warned a visitor to Ed and Bernices Fish Camp. Carrying extra water hose lengths addresses this common issue at rv parks around Paradise Acres, Georgia.

Utilize overnight stopover locations: Several parks cater specifically to travelers needing single-night accommodations. "We needed a one night stop & this was perfect. Made our reservations online the day before. Host called me the next morning to confirm arrival time," explained a visitor to Bainbridge Flint River. These streamlined facilities typically offer faster check-in procedures and pull-through sites.
