Best Cabin Camping near Titusville, FL

Several cabin options near Titusville provide comfortable accommodations for visitors exploring Florida's Space Coast. Cape Kennedy RV Resort in Mims offers cabin rentals with full hookups and access to resort amenities including showers, toilets, and picnic tables. Crystal Lake RV Park provides similar cabin setups with water and electric hookups. These facilities typically feature air conditioning, essential for Florida's climate, along with basic furnishings. Jetty Park at Cape Canaveral Port Authority maintains cabins close to the ocean with water and electric connections. "Nova Campground was amazing. For $50 a day we had an igloo, basically a tiny cabin, AC, a bathroom very nearby, electric, AND a pool!"

Rustic and deluxe cabins are both available, depending on the location. Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort offers higher-end cabin accommodations with full kitchens and separate sleeping areas, though at premium prices. Oak Hill Fish Camp provides waterfront cabins with private piers, ideal for fishing enthusiasts. Most cabins require advance reservations, particularly during winter months when snowbirds migrate to Florida. Pet policies vary by location, with some cabins allowing dogs while others prohibit pets entirely. A camper noted: "We stayed in a small cabin during our last Disney trip and it did not disappoint! We love the amenities of KOA."

Most cabins include beds but require visitors to bring their own linens, towels, and toiletries. Cooking facilities vary significantly between properties - deluxe cabins typically include refrigerators, microwaves, and basic cooking equipment, while rustic options may only provide fire rings or outdoor grills. Blue Spring State Park's cabins include screened porches, fire pits and picnic tables, offering more rustic accommodations within a natural setting. Many properties maintain on-site stores for basic supplies, though comprehensive grocery shopping requires a trip to nearby towns. Cabin guests should verify what's included before arrival, as amenities differ substantially between basic and deluxe units.

    Orlando/Kissimmee KOA

    Fabricated Camping @ Kissimmee KOA

Why contemplate leaving the creature comforts of home when you can just haul everything that you love most to a place that provides all of the concrete paved, easy-to-access amenities that you likely have at home in the first place? If you find yourself in this dilemma, no worries, Orlando/ Kissimmee KOA has all of your manufactured outdoor camping needs covered … and what’s perhaps most interesting is that you won’t even have to drive out of the concrete jungle to encounter this experience, in fact, it’s right off a major 4-lane highway (HWY 192).

So, if you are dreaming of escaping your domesticated life for the thrills of an outdoor camping adventure that will have you appreciating the best of what nature has to offer, then just be forewarned, this is not that place. But if you are simply looking for a change of scenery and want to be near all of the action and attractions here in Central Florida’s ‘Magic City’ and want a different experience than paying overpriced rates at Tiki-hut themed entertainment hotels and relish the idea of dusting off your RV or unpacking your tent in a pseudo nature environment complete with all the astro turf your dog can poop on within a confined, fenced-in setting, then this KOA (and let’s be frank, ANY KOA) has you covered.

As far as amenities go, it’s a KOA, so there’s going to be more amenities here than you can shake a stick at. These include: heated in-ground medium-sized pool complete with tiled patio, lounge chaise chairs, tables with umbrellas and regular chairs, water-rinsing station, as well as a jacuzzi / spa, propane refilling station, bike rentals, 134’ max length slots, WiFi, pavilion, Kamp K9, firewood for sale, 24 hour laundr-O-mat, picnic tables, community fire pits, on-site market, recreation office, life-size Jenga, designated trash areas, fitness center, playground, dog wash, public bus service, basketball court, EV chargers, jump pad, taxi service back-in and pull-through perfectly paved, level concrete RV sites with full hook-ups (30 / 50 amp electric, water and sewage). There’s even RV sites that are dubbed ‘Deluxe,’ which are larger and come with a paved connected patio.

No RV? And REALLY don’t want to have an experience that is different than living at home? Even here at this KOA, that’s not a problem, where the proprietors will easily rent you a deluxe cabin, if there is one available. These 1BR or 2BR A/C cooled Deluxe Cabins sleep 4, 6 or 8 people and come with bunk bed set, futon / sofa sleeper and a queen-sized bed along with a private bath and shower, TV with cable offering over 20 channels, some with EV chargers, patio w/ charcoal or gas BBQ grill and fire pit, front porch with patio furniture and chairs, refrigerator, fresh linens, paw pen for the pups and a partial or full kitchen. They even have rustic cabins that are cheaper and don’t come with all the thrills for those that want some degree of ‘roughing’ it, so this means no kitchen and no bathroom or showers, although there is full bed, bunk bed, TV, mini-refrigerator, A/C patio furniture, brick fire pit with cooking grate.

Insider’s tips? Here’s a few: (1) To continue with the simple, easy-to-access, manufactured experience theme here, for those that grow tired of trying to conjure up that next meal for the kiddos, who are grumbling about making every meal, head on over to any one of these nearby drive-thru windows or curb-side meal offerings: McDonald’s, Panda Express, Applebee’s, Steak ‘n Shake and Wendy’s; (2) If you want to heighten that suburban culinary experience you all have been craving though, I really do rate the silverware-free dining experience that is Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament, which is literally just down the road and is actually a lot of fun for the kiddos and adults alike; (3) Should you find yourself in need of anything that you either forgot or may have run out of, then fear not, there’s a Sam’s Club that is in walking distance from this KOA and further south that definitely requires a drive, there’s a Walmart Supercenter; (4) I’ve noticed that this place has SIGNIFICANT discounts if you simply plan in advance – so for example, during the months of March OR April (it’s January now), they’re offering a whopping 25% discount; and (5) If you are looking for a slice of nature’s paradise, then I highly recommend driving a bit north to Wekiwa Springs, where you’ll be able to enjoy one of the most amazing springs in all of Florida where the water is 72 degrees year round.

    Happy Camping!

    Sugar Mill Ruins Travel Park

New Smyrna Beach Vibe Rollicks in this RV Park

If you’ve landed on this review hopefully its because of a primary decision to visit one of the greatest beach communities in all of Florida – New Smyrna Beach. This super-slim archipelago boasts some of the most perfect white sugar sand beaches anywhere – plus, the best part is that this beach is a proper ‘drive-on’ beach, so whatever you would normally have to haul in a cart or wheeled by trolley to the beach, you can simply keep in the trunk or bed of your SUV / car / truck. And if you are here, hopefully you have planned to be here for some time – or, upon seeing how simply amazing New Smyrna Beach is, have decided that you need a place to stay ... but unfortunately, you and a couple thousand other people have come to the same conclusion. So what do you do?

Well, you look for simple and affordable accommodations nearby, and that’s what will attract you to Sugar Mill Ruins Travel Park, which is conveniently located only 15 minutes drive or so from beachside bliss. While this is definitely an RV-laden outpost, the vibe here is quite contagious, with its main office greeting you immediately upon arrival, where just past this wooden log cabin structure pure hedonism awaits with vibrant bouncing beach balls popping up and down in this overgrown campside Florida shaped-pool bursting with loud southern country music (yee-haw!) and nearly everyone en towe brandishing a coozie with some cheap domestic beer and endless “hey y’all’s” and smiles to boot at the ‘Tiki Hut’ (warning – there’s nothing here that resembles a ’Tiki Hut’ apart from the drinks they pour, although even here, no umbrellas!). This place feels like Spring Break for the adults toting 2-3 kids with them as they dwell in their mobile manufactured temporary housing.

With all the proper hook-ups being provided (30 / 50 amp electric, sewer, water), this oversized RV menagerie feels like it’s been carved out of a forest of tall needle-pine trees sheltering its residents from the sweltering heat of NE Florida. The family-friendly restrooms and shower facilities are fairly clean and there’s picnic tables and BBQ grills sporadically littered all over the place. Sugar Mill Ruins also rents out very affordable cabins (12 x 20) with twin bunk beds and fold-out futon (nice) complete with mini-fridge, table, chairs, microwave and even a porch with deck chairs. There’s more than 200 sites to choose from complete with a playground for the kiddos, game room with 2 billiards tables, plus 3 acres of lake fishing along with a cool pavilion with games and events (this is the main building that you’ll first encounter).

Insider’s tips? Here’s a few: (1) While not exactly a destination, Sugar Mill Ruins is so dang convenient to some of the best beach experiences you might ever encounter, depending upon your leaning, leave early and spend as much time as you can at New Smyrna Beach; (2) If you’re looking for a different place to soak some suds, I highly recommend Norwood’s Treehouse Bar, which has fantastic cocktails and local live music; and (3) For simply sublime food, check out Outriggers Tiki Bar& Grille, which has a pretty gracious happy hour where you can spot manatees and dolphins while biting down on some of the freshest catch in Florida, but with outstanding accoutrement, like key lime coconut beurre blanc and sticky bamboo rice or pineapple and peppadew rhum butter infused fish entrees.

    Nova Campground

    Amazing!! Would go again

Nova Campground was amazing. For $50 a day (and that was event pricing because we were at a music festival nearby) we had an igloo, basically a tiny cabin, AC, a bathroom very nearby, electric, AND a pool!! We were thrilled! Would happily go again if we ever end up near Daytona in the future.

    Hontoon Island State Park Campground

    island camping (or picnicking)

Who doesn’t love spending time on an island! I came here with a group who had reserved the picnic pavilion for a birthday party. The trip to the island on the ferry was quick and easy. There was a great playground for the kids and we enjoyed a nice long hike as well. We did not stay over night but I did notice some nice looking cabins and primitive camping sites. The cabins and tent camping sites are all nestled together so it’s not very secluded except the few trees between sites. There are nice tent pads though and the cabins look like a great option with nice screened porches as well as a fire pit and picnic table. A place to go back someday :)

    Highland Park Fish Camp

    Fantastic Family Destination!

I have been visiting Highland Park Fish Camp for over 8 years. I was sold the first time I went. This family run location has bee in operation for over 50 years and is working on their 4th generation! They offer 50 sites with full hookups (some 50 amp), tent sites and hot showers. They also just added to the number of cabins they have. There are fire pits and picnic tables at tent site and outside of cabin area there is a nice community fire pit area. Bathrooms are kept clean.

There is a free catch and release pond that is kept well stocked and a great place for the kids or beginners to learn how to fish. You will often see yellow labs strolling or lounging by the office Ruger and Copper - they are super mellow and love getting a scratch or pet.

You can rent a pontoon boat, bass boat for a half or full day and explore the rivers and lakes connected to the camp. Freshwater fishing anywhere along here is just amazing! Lots of wildlife including manatee, shorebirds, bears and more can be seen. You can hire a guide to take your out or you can go on your own. It is only $5 to launch your kayak or canoe here.

Camp store has nearly all the equipment you would need for a fishing trip including live bait (crickets, shiners, worms, etc) There is a huge, covered cleaning station for preparing your catch of the day. You will also find frozen treats, soda, water and other snacks. Ice can also be purchased.

recently they have expanded their "Hammock" special event area. There is a stage, lots of seating, tables, & outdoor lighting making this a great place for group or special events. There is an outdoor wedding chapel area and many folks from all over the state come here for a rustic wedding.

They really make you feel welcome here and right at home. I hope you get a chance to check out this wonderful location!

Orange City RV Resort, A Sun RV Resort

    More City Than Campground

What’s in a city, you ask? I would think organization, solid utilities, an infrastructure, stated rules and a semblance of community. If that’s the definition, then I guess Orange City RV Resort lives up to that moniker. As soon as you turn into this RV enclave, located just a stone’s throw from the major I4 highway, just due north of Orlando, this place will immediately impress you with it’s very organized and structured way that it lays out its design, from grid-like, well-paved streets and well-lit infrastructure to the outsized number of amenities you will discover here. If ease of access and turn-key entrance is on your check-list than OC RV has you covered.

Back to those amenities – here you’ll discover some fairly premier RV resort living plus-ups from a heated outdoor pool and jacuzzi, state-of-the-art work-out facility, multi-purpose community center (complete with fully operational kitchen), onsite laundry, shower and restroom facilities, doggie park, recreation hall (bingo, billiards tables, game room, card tables, etc.), dedicated mail center, private small pond (catch& release only), a handful of picnic pavilions, BBQ grills, traditional RV hook-ups (electric, water and sewage) plenty of games such as bocce ball, horse shoes, petanque and, of course (in Florida, the prerequisite) shuffleboard. This place is pet-friendly and while I thought it was more of a retiree community, there were plenty of kids playing around the nice little park that they have.

OC RV Resort offers up a number of different types of sites to choose from between standard, premium and ‘super sites’ – as you can imagine, ranked by size as well as position within the resort. Of course, the more modest size comes with less land, compromised vistas and places you in very close proximity to neighbors. In addition to open back-in and pull-through RV sites and slots, you will discover that there are also a number of 1BR cottages and newly constructed mini-homes available for lease.

Insider’s tips? Here’s a few: (1) The biggest tip I can give you is that literally only a 10 minute drive due west, you’ll hit arguably one of the best natural springs in all of Florida – Blue Spring State Park. And while there’s a small fee to get in, trust me, it’s worth it!; (2) To my fellow tent campers, if you’re reading this, my apologies, because OC RV Resort doesn’t offer up any spots to pitch your shelter for the night. That said, Blue Spring SP has some pretty awesome campsites that I would absolutely recommend, and if you want tent camping paradise, then just a bit further afield is Trimble Park Campground, arguably, some of the best tent camping in the entire state – for more details, you can read my reviews on both of these campgrounds on The Dyrt; and (3) As you would guess being located this close to Highway 4, you’ll come across all the usual franchise restaurant chains (Chili’s, Tijuana Flats, Perkins, Applebee’s, etc.), but if you’re looking for a nice meal, check out Riverwalk Pizzeria for some pretty great pies and fresh suds.

    Blue Spring State Park Campground

    Keeping Cool @ Blue Springs

Here at Sand Pine Campground inside of Blue Springs State Park, you’ll find that while this is a fairly large campground, the substantial amount of vegetation, along with the flow of how the campground is organized, the individual campsites give off a vibe of privacy, intimacy and solitude. Upon entry to this SP, you’ll meet likely some of the friendliest park rangers of any FL state park (although, honestly, the very GREAT rangers @ Rodman Campground ultimately win the battle!), who will provide you with all of the great information you need to have a great experience here.

As for the pet-friendly campground specifically, each of the 51 sites has its own picnic table, water and electric as well as fire ring, while the ground itself is laden with powdery grey sand (so leave your boots or flip flops at the door of your tent or RV). The individual slots are somewhat tight and narrow to navigate, but most RVs should be OK to back into these sites. What you will appreciate the most about Sand Pine is that just about every site offers a substantial amount of privacy with solid, thick Floridian jungle putting decent distance between you and your neighbors. The only downside is that it is a solid hike from this campground to the spring itself, which will require you to drive there or take a decent bike ride.

The amenities are pretty amazing with the two bathroom and laundry room facilities appearing to be nearly brand new and there are designated dump stations scattered throughout making disposal of trash and recyclables EZ. The restroom facilities had vending machines as well. As for the sand pine scrub nature you are surrounded by, but the real gem here of course is the fresh crystal spring that is teaming with manatees, which are best to view and swim alongside between the winter months of November and February. For my float-seeking friends, there’s a solid kayak / canoe launch and if you don’t want to get some oaring in, you can partake in a guided river boat cruise.

If you’re looking to get away from it all and enjoy some privacy, then this is a great little campground for you to consider. And if you miss anything from the non-natural world, have no fears, a short drive into town to grab a pizza or load up on groceries is easy enough to manage. What I love most about camping here at Blue Springs SP is that during heavier tourist season, a reservation will guarantee you access to the spring, which sometimes gets full and therefore requires the rangers to stop traffic flow into the park, so if you've got a place guaranteed for the night, then, well, you need not worry about the morning rush when most will just worry about getting in the park.

Insider’s tips? Here’s a few: (1) If you find yourself out-of-luck in finding an available campground site to reserve, try your luck at booking one of the 6 often overlooked cabins, which BTW, come with their own set of parking spaces; (2) When you grow weary of digging through your onboard mini-fridge or roto-molded Cordova cooler, then check out some of the local fare where nearby in town, there’s a sweet little Argentinian joint called Rincon del Sabor, classic pie palace called Blue Springs Pizza and another ethereal dive called Taste of Soul – neither of which you’ll wanna write home about, but will definitely give you a break from ‘frank & beans’ for the night. And if neither of those places do the trick for you, there is also a few other restaurants you might wanna check out like Gram’s Kitchen for low country breakfast cooked up all day, Mi Tierra Authentic Mexican as well as Fire on the Bayou for some nice, spicy Cajun; (3) Should you need to stock up on any supplies, nearby Blue Springs SP has a 'grade A' Publix as well as a Walmart nearby, so you should have no problems being stocked up while staying here; and (4) When the kiddos get restless and the pristine nature that you find yourself surrounded by isn’t enough of a distraction, then head due east to Family Fun Town, which is a family-friendly amusement center with batting cages, mini-golf, arcade games and go cart racing. Oak Hill Fish Camp

    Dockside Fish Camp Bliss

You know you’ve really discovered the secret to living here in NE Florida when you come across one of these traditional fish camps that offer up direct access to the water as well as waterfront amenities like SUPs, canoes and kayaks in addition to plenty of places to easily cast a line. Look no further than Oak Hill Fish Camp & RV Resort, which is located directly on the Intracoastal waterway right near Mosquito Lagoon. One bit of advice? Bring your mosquito repellant!

Wife and husband duo, Dave & Chrissy, run this place and are just some of the most pleasant folks you’ll ever meet. Like me, they’ve come from the wintery north, so they sure enjoy the home and business they’ve founded next to Florida shores. One of the many things that they recommend is that if you are looking for somewhere to camp, there’s actually a handful of really great options that can be accessed by boat. For more on backcountry island camping, check this link out: www.nps.gov/cana/planyourvisit/permits.htm

Area fisherman have been flocking to these parts for over a hundred years in search of Redfish and Snook, where with the right bait, you’ll be sure to catch plenty. While this place rents waterfront cabins, complete with their own private piers, there is plenty of room for RV’s (no pull-throughs though), so you can either rent a cabin in addition to your RV or simply rent a plot of land to park your RV and take advantage of some of the best boat launch points on the eastern coast of FL. And if you’re a tent camper, sorry, this place doesn’t accommodate us.

There’s tons of natural wildlife in addition to all the fish you’ll be catching, where we saw dolphins, manatees and all types of waterfoul. From an amenities standpoint, in addition to the piers, there are boat slips if you brought watercraft, outdoor fire pits and BBQ grilles, picnic tables and the place is pet friendly. Insider’s tip? If you plan your stay well, you can time it to see one of the many launches from Cape Canaveral– and if not, no worries, the sunsets you’ll encounter will be some of the most amazing you ever experience. Another tip is if you have time, make sure to make it down to Haulover Canal where kayaks and canoes can launch from to discover some of the most amazing birds, alligators and endemic wildlife to Mosquito Lagoon.

    Happy Camping!

Guide to Titusville

Camping cabins near Titusville, Florida offer direct access to Florida's Space Coast with views of rocket launches and cruise ships. Most cabin rentals in the area sit on sandy terrain at elevations near sea level, with summer temperatures regularly exceeding 90°F. Seasonal considerations are important, as winter months bring more moderate temperatures but increased demand for accommodations.

What to do

Watch rocket launches: At Jetty Park Campground, you can view launches from Cape Canaveral. "For what it is, this place is perfect... It also gives front row seats to the ships coming to port as well as any launches from cape Canaveral which are much more frequent now," notes Jesse P.

Wildlife viewing: The Blue Spring State Park Campground cabins provide access to manatee viewing. "Kayaked the river, and even swam with manatees in the spring!!!" shares Anna C. Winter months (November-February) offer the best manatee sightings.

Fishing: Waterfront cabin options at Oak Hill Fish Camp cater to anglers. "Area fisherman have been flocking to these parts for over a hundred years in search of Redfish and Snook, where with the right bait, you'll be sure to catch plenty," notes a reviewer. The camp offers direct Intracoastal waterway access.

What campers like

Proximity to attractions: Cape Kennedy RV Resort cabins provide convenient access to major attractions. "Very Friendly personal working there, helpful with insights and information about the surrounding area.... They have Cabin's which are reasonable for the area and it's in a convenient location to attractions etc," reports Ricky W.

Beach access: Many campers appreciate cabins with easy beach access. "Walk to the beach! Clean with shade. WiFi, water, electric and sewer hookup as well as tent sites and cabins. Cute! Concrete slabs to park your unit on," says Peggie F. about Jetty Park Campground.

Pool facilities: Some cabin properties include swimming pools for when you need a break from the beach. "Nice koa right off I95. Pretty quiet considering it's right off the highway. Friendly staff. There's a guy who will wash your coach and vehicle for a nominal fee. He did a great job for us. Clean, there's a pool and playground," shares Tonya B.

What you should know

Site sizes vary: Some cabin areas have limited space. "Sites are a bit small, but wow, it's got everything. Breakfast/lunch place, a restaurant with bar within walking distance. Bathrooms are basic but clean," notes rani D. about Jetty Park.

Reservation timing: Winter months see the highest demand for cabins. "Very busy in the winter. Awesome place to camp and they have an incredible store there," explains Donald M.

Insect preparation: Cabins near water require mosquito protection. "Bring your mosquito repellant!" warns a reviewer about waterfront accommodations at Oak Hill Fish Camp.

Bathroom facilities: Quality varies between properties. "Restrooms need updating. My experience was marred by poor customer service in that we had a mix-up on the date and ended up paying twice," reports Suzanne B.

Tips for camping with families

Entertainment options: Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground offers extensive family activities. "Who doesn't love this place!!! From the second you get there it's an experience. From the bot ride to Magic Kingdom to all the great activities they have," explains Kirsten J.

Budget considerations: Some parks offer reasonable rates for families. "For the past 3 years we have been going to the campground every year around August and have an amazing time! Each year it's something we look forward to all year, and it never disappoints! Sites can feel a little close but for the price and how close the beach is you seriously can't beat it!" shares Kristina C.

Kid-friendly amenities: Look for cabins with nearby playgrounds or recreation areas. "The only downside is that it is a solid hike from this campground to the spring itself, which will require you to drive there or take a decent bike ride," mentions Stuart K. about Blue Spring State Park.

Tips from RVers

Site selection strategy: At Crystal Lake RV Park, cabin locations matter. "This is a very clean, pet and children friendly RV park. Gated dog park with lots of toys," notes Tony W.

Check-in process: Some parks offer after-hours options. "An overnight stay with 25ft RV for 94$ including taxes for a partial hook up. Lovely lady at reception helped us book over the phone few hours before our arrival but you can also drive up after the office closes, park in the overflow area & register/pay the next day," shares Annabel F.

Noise considerations: Some cabin locations experience noise. "The only drawback I found from the campsite/campground area was the noise. There are train tracks near the state park, so hearing trains throughout the night(especially at 3am) was not what I'm looking for when I get out into nature. So bring ear plugs!" advises Jenn B.
