GuideWe stayed at campsite 12 out of 25. They have group campsites and single campsites which is great and it Is also free and you can stay for up to 14 days. Each came with a picnic table (two if a group) and a fire ring. There are vault toilets that weren’t the worst one I’ve been too. You can see the Kings River and hear it really well. It is a beautiful canyon not far from Pine Flat Lake. It is family friendly and the ground is pretty comfortable to have a tent on. Amazing views of the stars at night, really beautiful weather during the day and night. It might get pretty hot though during the summer months because it’s only at around 1000ft in elevation. Its close to so many creeks too. If you like going up dirt roads and seeing bears or amazing views I definitely would recommend coming here. At night along with seeing the stars and hearing the river, you can also hear frogs, and there is not very many mosquitoes.

ScoutWhen I get the chance, over spring break and summer vacation, I head deeper into the hills past Pine Flat Lake to this gem of a camp ground. It's a gorgeous sight in the spring when we've had rain: poppies and other wildflowers blanket the hillsides of the mini valley surrounding the Kings River. Green Cabin Flat is the only one that requires a reservation. The grounds are great for a weekend excursion or a week-long nature break.
GuideStayed here one night over the weekend and it was pretty nice. Nobody else was in sight. Each sight had a picnic table and a fire pit. It’s off a pretty rough dirt road between Pine Flat Lake and Dinkey Lakes. The reservoir was pretty nice except for all the electrical wires. Its also right next to a damn that is ran by PGE. There was a warning next the the shore that warned that water levels can increase in an instant so we didn’t go down to it. There is a lot of views to the campground and beyond it. It is also free!
GuideNice place to get away for the week. There are only two sites that have full hook ups. Site 4 is not one of them. The restrooms were not very clean and the cleaning crew really needs to be replaced. Camp sights were busy with one day visitors. Weekend camping was busy with lots of noise, but the weekdays were quiet. Pine Flat Lake is really low with a long walk down to the lake. Drove over to the group camp sites and they have volleyball, corn hole and large covered picnic areas with extra large fire rings and bbq area. Water was available no power but they did have restrooms for both sites.
GuideThis would be a great place if it was clean. Lots of junky trailers with junk & garbage. No dog park area, no doggie bags. On positive side, staff is friendly & sites are roomy.

Location less than 30minutes from the National Forest entrance. We got up early on the road @645 am to the park was back by 11am. Only went as far General Sherman.
Only negative point was pool was closed for cleaning. Just bad timing
GuideFHU with large pull through spots. Quiet place that was nice to spend a few days at while exploring Sequoia and Kings Canyon. Place has grass, dog park, lots of kids play areas, adults game areas, fishing pond, creek and river next to property is very pretty. We really enjoyed it.
