This site was great. We used it as a camp tester to see if something we would enjoy doing. We did some hiking, fishing near by and costed big bear as it is not too far away.
The office plays music on outdoor speakers facing the campsites during business hours. Unless you are in the back half of the park, you’ll be listening to whatever radio station the host chooses, including commercials, all day long. The site was level and had bushes between sites for privacy. Easy…
Full hook ups, wonderful camp hosts, very clean bathrooms and showers
Road noise and maintenance people not really maintenance people. Overpriced tiny store.
I absolutely loved the town of big bear. The forest and lake was definitely nice to be around!

The staff members were really nice, seemed clean over all, not too far from the town of big bear.
Fantastically convenient and minimal approaches to most climbs. Extremely busy on fair weather weekends, it's almost impossible to find a site after 1pm Friday. PLEASE ONLY CAMP IN DESIGNATED SITES!! Much effort and government funds went into creating this Campground in 2003. There has been a lot…

Barely maintained, but trash, pit toilets, picnic tables and fire pits are available. Sites are spread out and have amazing views.

We came in after dark and were escorted by the ranger to the campsites. It was really nice not having to fumble our way through the dark in a place we didn’t know with an RV. Very friendly, sites were easy to drive into and the location is gorgeous
Lovely little place! Super close to the lake, secluded up in the mountains.
I really like this campground. It is well kept and clean. Away from town. But, an easy drive or bike ride to get there.

This park has something for everyone. I used a site that provided electric. There are tent and dry sites throughout. While the sites are everywhere, they are spaced in a way that feels private. There are bear boxes, picnic tables and fire rings at each site. The bathrooms were clean, with flushing…
Stayed here in August, a beautiful spot shaded by lots of trees, just a short walk or bike ride to the lake and observatory. Friendly staff.
This campground has been open since the summer of 2020. It is somewhat expensive, maybe twice the cost of nearby state parks. The folks there are very nice. Unfortunately, it looks like someone took a bulldozer and totally denuded the forrest to put in the campground. There are few trees, in…
