Best RV Parks & Resorts near Arcadia, CA

Several RV parks surround Arcadia, California, providing convenient bases for motorhome travelers. Bonelli Bluffs in San Dimas offers full hookup sites with 30/50 amp service, spacious pull-through options, and big rig accessibility. Fairplex RV Park in Pomona maintains year-round availability with electric, water, and sewer connections on paved sites. Thousand Trails Soledad Canyon, located north in Acton, features full hookups and accommodates larger RVs despite its more remote setting. Orangeland RV Park in Orange provides premium sites with 50 amp service and concrete pads. "Sites are big and well spaced, with 30 amp electric," notes one RV owner about the regional options. Most parks maintain clean facilities with showers and laundry amenities.

Advance reservations are strongly recommended, particularly during peak travel seasons and weekends. Many parks charge additional fees for pets, extra vehicles, or premium site locations with better views or more space. Dump stations are available at all major RV parks, though some charge separate fees for non-guests. Cell service varies by location, with stronger signals at parks closer to urban areas and potentially spotty coverage in canyon locations. Pet policies differ between parks - some have designated dog areas while others restrict certain breeds. Propane refill services exist at select locations, with Thousand Trails Soledad Canyon offering this amenity at competitive rates. For RVers planning Disney visits, Anaheim Harbor RV Park requires careful attention to their pricing structure, as one reviewer cautions: "Their site measurements are for your camping unit only. If you have a tow vehicle, you must pay per night for a parking spot."

Anaheim RV Park - PERMANENTLY CLOSED

Disney Camping - Clean, Pool, Very Nice Restrooms/Showers

Anaheim RV Resort is close to Disney and is on the Anaheim Resort Transportation (ART) bus route. They have full hook up sites and room for large rigs - back-in and pull through. They are very pet friendly and even have a dog walking/feeding service (for an extra fee). There is a small pool and hot tub. The restrooms/showers and newly remodeled and very nice! Sites are all level and fairly large. We've stayed here 4 times and will be back again!

    Bonelli Bluffs

    Hidden Gem

I loved this place, this hidden gem is located in the in the middle of the city, with the feel of the outdoor. Lots of trees, biking and hiking trails, fishing area, beautiful views, very peaceful, family friendly, pet friendly, the C9 RV spot was very spacious, I also liked the A & B area. Not every site has a fire pit. Definitely coming back again.

    Bolsa Chica State Beach Campground

    Bolsa Chica State Beach

The 4 stars is primarily for location. This is essentially a parking lot with power and water. We had a beach front space (B035) with a decent sized palm tree. The only one I really saw. The spaces aren’t huge so if you have a big rig or large trailer it will be tight. Most trailers parked their tow vehicle perpendicular to the space and some barely fit. There is no privacy, the small concrete area is shared with your neighbors as is the entrance to the beach side. People watching at the boardwalk is amazing. There is live music at the beach bars nearby which was cool. Definitely bring bike. There isn’t a lot within walking distance but downtown Huntington Beach and the pier is just a couple miles away.

    Waterfront RV Park

    Great place by the beach

Your not on the beach but literally on the other side of pacific coast highway you are there. They have smaller options for travel trailers with power hook ups only and pull through and back in sites available with full hook ups. They have a great pool, maintained laundry rooms bathrooms and showers separated by men and woman for that privacy you need. Overall an incredible rv park and very impressed by it being well kept and clean. Not to mention close to the beach

    Mountain Lakes Resort

    Great family friendly place

My wife and I have been coming up here for years. We used to use her parents fifth wheel or use a cabin but recently purchased our own travel trailer. Now we come up here with our kids and I can’t say enough about how family friendly it is.

    Ronald W. Caspers Wilderness Park

One of the Best County Parks you will find

This is a great park in Southern Orange County. I have tent camped here for years with my kids in the Live Oak campground and never had a bad experience. There are hiking trails everywhere with lots of wildlife to watch. I switched to a travel trailer several years ago and now use Ortega Flats campground. The sites are big and well spaced, with 30 amp electric. The water is off for the time being. The dump station is very close by and easy to access.

    Bonita Ranch Campground

    Just ok overall

Needed somewhere fairly close to home to take my new to us motorhome. Sites were decent size but fairly close together so don’t expect a lot of privacy. Sites interspersed among long term residents. Hookups water and electric at each site. Some shade, trails to riverbed currently mostly dry and Bonita falls about 25 minute walk over river rock. Fire rings available to rent for $5. The biggest issue I had was our electric went out to our loop at about 7:30pm…luckily we are self contained…it still had not been restored when we left the next day at noonish. The lights to the office area and restrooms was still on (thankfully) but not the camp sites.

    Orangeland RV Park

    Location!

Stay here every year for dance competitions in Anaheim and Garden Grove. Very reasonable prices for the area. Anaheim transit makes on-demand stops her to Disneyland as well as Garden Walk. Very helpful, friendly staff. Many residents mixed with overnight era or vacationers.

    Pros:

    • The price for the area is worth it!
    • Amazing staff.
    • Free citrus picking!
    • Pool, mini golf on site.
    • Incredibly creak restrooms and showers.
    • Camp store.
    • On-demand public transport for $6/person for all-day access.
    • Walking distance to Big Ed and Honda Center.
    • Along Santa Ana River Trail path that connects beach to San Bernardino Mts.
    • Security at night.
    • Dog runs (kinda stinky, though)
    • Back-in and pull-thru sites (I’d try to stay closer to Struck and the western side)
    • Rules are there to keep things nice and safe.
    • Good wifi

    Cons:

    • Stinky dog runs
    • Street racing nearby at night. Every time.

Guide to Arcadia

RV camping near Arcadia, California offers several options within a 30-mile radius of the city center. The eastern San Gabriel Valley location provides access to both urban amenities and mountain terrain, with summer temperatures regularly exceeding 90°F in July and August. Camping facilities range from full-service RV parks with concrete pads to more rustic settings with natural surroundings despite their proximity to urban areas.

What to do

Explore local nature preserves: Canyon RV Park in Anaheim sits within a nature preserve while still providing urban convenience. "You're nearby to all the stores you could ever need but you're also around a lot of wild life," notes one camper at Canyon RV Park.

Visit local attractions: The Rancho Jurupa RV Park offers easy access to historic districts. "We drove over to the Mission Inn (8 min drive) enjoyed lunch. Their is a pedestrian only shopping area with a Saturday farmer's market plus lots of restaurants," explains a reviewer at Rancho Jurupa RV Park.

Water activities: Many parks offer fishing and water recreation opportunities. "There is camping, horseback riding, fishing, trails, biking, hiking, picnics, you can use your jet skies in designated areas, swimming on the pool areas, kayaking, Park for kids and plenty more," shares a visitor to Bonelli Bluffs.

What campers like

Family amenities: Several parks feature kid-friendly facilities. At Orangeland RV Park, visitors appreciate the "covered play area, helpful staff, heated pool as well as a hot tub. The grounds are very well kept and grocery stores within 10 min."

Spacious sites: Some parks provide ample room between sites. "Large concrete pads, easy backing in and hooking up. Lots of grass, great place to camp in groups," notes one camper about Bonelli Bluffs.

Convenient access: Many parks offer strategic locations for both urban and outdoor activities. "This is a good location to explore LA and greater LA area, 45 min to Hollywood sign," explains a visitor to Thousand Trails Soledad Canyon.

What you should know

Security considerations: Most parks maintain security measures. "Security is very good and felt very safe, especially considering the location," reports a camper at Golden Shore RV Resort.

Noise factors: Urban adjacent camping often means traffic or transportation noise. Canyon RV Park "is bordered by highways on both sides, and they create noise day and night. They're also clearly visible."

Reservation policies: Understanding cancellation terms is important. One camper noted about Golden Shore RV Resort: "Make sure you know that you want to stay here for the full time because there is not a generous refund policy."

Tips for camping with families

Water features: Several parks include splash pads or pools. "Splash pad, park, mini golf great amenities," mentions a camper at Rancho Jurupa Park, while another notes, "Water park and mini golf for kids. Showers and laundry convenient."

Entertainment options: Some parks organize activities for children. Thousand Trails Soledad Canyon "does offer all the amenities TT resort park typically offer," though one visitor cautions that "the activities are for ages 5-7 maybe!"

Safety measures: Family-friendly parks often prioritize security. "Ranger is on constant patrol," notes a visitor to Rancho Jurupa RV Park, adding that the park has "great placement of the gates for safety purposes."

Tips from RVers

Site selection strategy: Choose sites carefully based on specific needs. "We initially stayed down near the welcome center instead of Lot N and the experience didn't even seem like the same RV Park. No loud music, no barking dog, less dust, and dirt," advises an RVer at Thousand Trails Soledad Canyon.

Space constraints: Understand site dimensions before booking. "Their site measurements are for your camping unit ONLY. If you have a tow vehicle or are towing a vehicle you must pay per night for a parking spot, whether it fits on the site or not," warns a visitor to Anaheim Harbor RV Park.

Utility requirements: Some parks require specific equipment. One RVer at Anaheim Harbor RV Park notes: "You must have a 25ft sewage hose."
