Wonderful place to Stay

We loved this place. The best part was the people here. Very friendly. Very accommodating for all your RV needs. Lots to do and the scenery is breathtaking.

Different kind of place

I’m a local so I’ve made this trip more times than I can recall. While I’ve never actually used 4x4, the last couple of miles are no joke. Higher clearance is a must.

Take water. TAKE WATER!

If you can find them, there are trails that will take you east, beyond Alamo lake, into Aguila. From…

A nice scenic BLM campground close to the town of Quartzite

This BLM is a great place to camp because of its close proximity to Quartzite. There is a deionized water station just down the road I was there in December 2020 and January of 2021 Covid 19 had a big effect on the crowd but I had a very good time not having to negotiate. The RV vendors tent was…

You’re Out There

This was a cool spot to camp!

It was like you were camping in a museum. Walking around at night exploring the abandoned structures was surreal. You could almost hear the voices of the past and imagine what life was like in this town at the turn of the century.
We went in February so we got to…

Good Place with Few Other Campers

My brother and I camped in this general area for several days. At the end of January I was meeting up with campers I have met in prior years in this area.  I took several photos of the landscape while we camped there. It was cold and windy most nights. It rained a couple days and we were blessed…

  • Rock art with mountains in the background.
  • I have no idea what this is but it looks like a mini Joshua tress. I like these cacti.
  • I was out for a hike and this patch of reddish grass looked very nice with the mountains behind it.

Great views , not too crowded

This area is becoming more popular, but not crowded yet. Solome is just down the road with propane, laundry and a small grocery store. At the junction of 72 & 60 you can dump for $20 (Ramblin Roads RV Resort) or head down the road on the other side of Solome to the county park, Centennial Park…

Really nice location.

I don't care for densely populated campsites, but don't want to be off in the middle of nowhere alone either. Feel safer when there are some others near by.

That said, I started today at the Plomosa Road Campsite which had a host on site, required registration, but was free. Quite a lot of RV's…

Clean, friendly, convenient

This campground is very accommodating. We arrived late without reservations. They had a site available. It was an easy pull through with full hookups. The wifi is great. There are some activities but limited because of covid. There are bigger sites for the snowbirds.

Very nice place, for an RV park!

We only stopped here to use their dump station and fill our water tanks ($10). Dump station is located at the end of the rows behind sites 77 & 102. The person at the desk said they have their own well water which is good quality.

The staff person was very friendly and sells eggs from his…

This was an educational, surreal and fun find!

Here was a neat and remote experience. We explored the ruins of this early 19th century mining town. We were by no means alone though. Each day a dozen or so off-road vehicles and explorers visit the desert centered attraction. Nestled in amazing landscape with massive saguaro cactus towering…

ATV Central

Between Hwy 60 and Hwy 10 is a large swath of BLM land with many established spots to camp on the east side of Ramsey Mine Rd. There were many other RVers staying here when we stayed here in January, mostly crowded along the northern half of the road closer to Hwy 60. We managed to find a spot…

Hidden treasure!

We discovered this area while camping on Ramsey Mine Rd on the north side of I 10. We rode our bikes over the I 10 overpass into this area and liked it so much we considered packing up and moving here, but since we were leaving soon anyway decided not to.

There are so many spots to camp here,…

Good dispersed camping, close to town

Free BLM dispersed camping with plenty of open flat areas with trees and bushes to allow for a sense of privacy to choose from. Saw a few other campers along the road but were able to easily find a private space for the night at 33.749426,-113.731680.

Free dispersed camping, some spots with trash, some without

There are many nice places to pull off of Eagle Eye Rd but unfortunately they were mostly taken or difficult to get to in our rig so we ended up at this particular spot for the night. Great park and campground for off-roading.

Park has a campground with several elec/water hookup sites and the rest are water-only or dry camping. Baseball field nearby as well as playground and covered picnic/event area. Great access to nearby off-roading trails and plenty of exploring. Camping area is all gravel. Spaces are pretty level.…
