Best Campgrounds near Tolleson, AZ

This is my second time staying here. It is such a well-maintained campground with beautiful large sites. The bathrooms are super clean and modern. power and water at the sites in the Family Campground. Nice picnic tables and views. It was hot when I arrived so I hope to take advantage of the many hiking trails early in the morning before it gets hot! Friendly staff. There is a library and nature center as well as many picnic areas.

I usually go further north of the cove to great open space where you can really spread out. shoreline fishing is great and peaceful. Depending how far you go along the northwest shore you can get nearly a mile away from the hardstand toilets and trash. Lots of places to pull up or pull in.

Paid the $16 annual state land trust fee. Stayed a few nights. Was windy and dusty on our stay, but generally not much to complain about.

We absolutely love this campground. Close to everything, including some awesome Mountain Biking from green to double black diamond trails. Large spaces with water, power and super clean. Highly Recommend!!!!

Hidden away camp area. Only way to get to it is to boat in, but there is plenty of dock space

Stayed one night on thru-trip. Wow, seems like best of the Sonoran Desert. Beautiful. Well kept park, safe, quiet, with clean single shower/bathroom stalls that are spacious, but some do not have hooks to hang stuff. Cell service. Was 90 the day we left (~March 23rd), night temp was cool and windows left open.

Food: Chorizo & bacon mac & cheese with garlic and tortillas!

Great secluded campgrounds the best camp spot is 11 and 12 however it is kind of dirty people do leave things and don't take things to the garbage other than that it's a great place to fish to camp and not have a whole lot of people there there is no cell service so you're off the grid.

It was a fun dirt road. You might be able to get back there without 4x4 but certainly it is strongly recommended. Very rough road and about a 2 mile drive.

Lots of camping spots before and after this specific location. Camping spots are spread out. You can see about 20 miles of I-10 from this area. Power substation have bright lights on all night but I would camp there again.

Too rocky for us to drive into. You may want to pull along the main road and walk in to see the conditions. There are several places to drive in, so pick the one that looks the best to you and your rig. Just saying...

Excellent... Lots of room, flat, and just off a paved road. This is better than the wild camping we found up in Wickenburg. Yes, there are signs here that you need to have an Arizona Trust Land Permit, but you get it online for$16. If you need to dump and/or get fresh water Wickenburg is just miles up the road and the Fast Mart Chevron station has two stations for this, plus propane. We paid$15 to dump and the potable water fill up was included. Wickenburg is surprising and has all the services, grocery, etc... you would need.

I stopped here to do laundry and get organized. I don’t normally stay at campgrounds like this, but was pleasantly surprised. Very clean and well laid out spots- with space

Highly recommend this park with spacious sites and great views of the Superstition Mountains and night lights of Phoenix. Carefully review the site you select to be sure it will accommodate your rig. Roads are narrow and there are unforgiving drop offs on the sides. We had site 118 which was closer to mountain so view was very good.

Beautiful campsite, first camping trip with our new travel trailer and this was great first spot! Dirt road was a little bumpy but actual campsite was easy to get to. Lots of different spots to pull in

Would not stay again. Park is easy to find, very clean and well kept. Lots of mobile homes with an area for rv’s. Sights are very tight and very close together. Slides almost touch one another. The older lady in the office was not welcoming, or friendly. I called twice to get a confirmation and never did get one. The park is set up on just too close together. Would not recommend or stay there again!

Great camping with tons of off-roading nearby.
