What you should know

Water levels can affect sites: Boulder Creek Campground experiences occasional flooding issues. "Can flood with a good downpour. Nice cabins. Close to railroad tracks so you will hear the trains go by," warns Sharon B.
Booking requirements vary: Some cabins require minimum stays. "When we made reservations this site required a two-night minimum stay. Don't know if that is for all seasons," notes Grace D. from Pikes Peak State Park.

Tips from RVers
Site selection important: Fireside Campground offers varying site quality. "They have nice level site in a grassy and sandy area, with enough tree coverage for shade but not so much you're freaking out parking your camper. Big rig friendly," advises Kim L.
Electrical options: Blackhawk Lake Recreational Area provides suitable RV hookups. "I spent two nights here with an RV. I had electric hookup," notes SmallRVLifestyle V.
Site layout challenges: Wisconsin Riverside Resort has different site options for various RV sizes. "We stayed in a pull thru site. The camp fire was located under a tree. We didn't have a fire. It's a little unusual location. I think the pull thru are more fit for travel trailers not more 31 feet. We had 5th wheel 40 feet it felt tight to get into to," cautions Juliana R.
