Best RV Parks & Resorts near Pacific, WA

Several RV parks near Pacific, Washington provide full hookup options for motorhomes and travel trailers. Sun Outdoors Gig Harbor offers 102 sites with 30/50-amp electric, water, and sewer hookups on relatively compact gravel pads surrounded by trees. The campground operates year-round with clean facilities including showers, laundry, and a sanitary dump station. "The spaces are very close together, but there are a lot of trees and it's very well kept," noted one visitor about the Gig Harbor location. Enumclaw Expo Center RV Park provides 50-amp electric and water connections on more spacious sites, while South Prairie Creek RV Park accommodates big rigs with 50-amp service and full hookups in a location that remains open throughout all seasons.

Reservations are essential during peak travel periods, particularly at popular parks like Blue Sky RV Park, which received a perfect 5-star rating from travelers. Most facilities near Pacific restrict RVs older than 20 years, with one reviewer noting this policy at Enumclaw Expo Center. When planning overnight stays, be aware that some parks require substantial leveling equipment - a camper at Dash Point State Park mentioned needing to "lift the trailer 5-6 inches" due to significant site grades. Dump stations are available at most locations, though some parks like Enumclaw Expo Center only offer water and electric connections with nearby dump facilities. Cell service varies considerably between parks, with facilities closer to urban areas generally providing better connectivity than those in more wooded settings.

    Crystal Mountain RV Parking

Great base-camp for winter and summer adventures at Crystal Mountain Resort

Stayed here for the first time in July 2021.  I understand this opened last winter.  Talking to the host, I found out it is far more popular in winter when ski season is open. It was quiet and sparsely filled in July on a Friday and Saturday night.

3 different areas respectively for large RV and 50 amps power, small RVs and 30 amp and tent only area. A fee picnic tables (no benches) available toward the tent only area.  Bathroom are just two sani-cans. Relatively clean.  There is trash and recycling behind the office which is adjacent to the host RV.

Free WI-Fi (the host will give you code) and good LTE connection on AT&T.

Silver Creek runs behind the lot and gives a  bit more of a natural feel. Otherwise you are in a giant parking lot (Lot B).

Can't beat the location for skiing and hiking or biking at Crystal Mountain!

    Cascades RV Resort

    Cascades RV Resort

We are long term RV campers here at Cascades. It is a lovely RV resort with large concrete pads with astroturf lawn and picnic table. Everyone is friendly. Nightly noise is never excessive. Gracie’s place is an onsite cafe that serves food, alcohol, deserts, coffees, and other drinks. You can get package delivery just no USPS. They do offer monthly discounts. Would highly recommend for anyone in an RV.

    North Sound Recreational Vehicle Park

    Simple Urban RV Park

This is very much an RV park and not really a campground. Seems like a clean little park, but right in the middle of Lynnwood, so if you are looking for a rural setting this isn't for you.

They offer weekly and monthly rentals, so this is more of a long-term sort of place.

    Website: Northsound RV Park

    Requirements from their site:

    • Your travel trailer must be year 2005 or newer
    • Pet friendly(limit 2) not to exceed 25 lbs. Aggressive breed restrictions apply.
    • No conversion vehicles - sorry van and bus life people
    • No trailers larger than 35' long, ideally.

    Ike Kinswa State Park Campground

    Camping amongst the tall trees

This campground is on Mayfield Lake where the Cowlitz River flows into the lake. We were in loop D, which was the only open loop along with the cabins (cabins are loop C and attached to loop D). This is a partial hook-up loop. Full hook-ups are in loop A. The campground is heavily wooded which is really nice for shade, though it can make it tricky to get into a spot if you have slide outs. As we were on the outer part of the loop in a pull-through site, we had a view of the woods and quite a bit of space between neighboring sites. We could not see either of the neighboring sites while sitting by our campfire. There was a trail to the trash compactor next to our site, but it did not seem to be heavily used. The trash compactor is probably a good 1/4 mile down this trail by the dump station. It was very quiet at night, which was fantastic! Very good Verizon cell service. The day use area is out of the campground and across the main road. There is a playground and beach area. It would have been nice if there was a playground on the campground side of the park.

Cougar Rock Campground — Mount Rainier National Park

    Nice place

Nice campground on the SW corner of Mt Rainier NP. We were here in the off season, meaning that reservations are not taken and everything is FCFS. You stop at the ranger office at the campground entrance and you’re given a campsite. $20/night. Zero cell service in this whole area (but there was good cell reception and wifi at Paradise, and free wifi at the museum 2 miles down at Longmire).

There are water spigots at this campground, flush toilets, no showers, trash dumpsters, and glass, plastic, and aluminum recycling. Each site has a picnic table, bear box, and fire pit. The dump station has been non operational for several years and the ranger said she doesn’t think it’ll ever be fixed.

The length limit here is 35 ft for a motorhome, and us at 28 ft head to toe felt very big here. The Wonderland Trail hike can be accessed from this campground, just across the road. Lots of trees in this campground, and we struggled to keep our batteries charged via solar, though there looked to be enough open sky for starlink (we don’t have starlink so I can’t say). All the loops here in this campground are pretty similar in layout and landscape.

    Blue Sky RV Park

    Awesome park

We reserved a space for 1 night the day before. Great communication with Brett, everything went really smooth. The facilities are great and very clean, the park very quiet. There are a lot of big rigs parked there, some of the pm long-term as it seems. We enjoyed ourselves and would definitely visit again.

    Cedar Glen RV Park

great long-term or quick on the way

There are several long term campers here. The grounds are kept immaculate and they regularly update the sites.  They hang wreaths for the winter holidays. Lawns mowed weekly.

All are level gravel. All have grass area, some with patio pad. There is a dog walk area and they are currently creating a dog fenced area at the end orf the two rows.

A caretaker is on site and will often help guide rigs into the sites (all are back-in).

Close to Poulsbo (a cute, Norwegian heritage town), Seattle ferry via Bainbridge Island and just over an hour to the Olympic National Park via the Hood Canal Bridge.

    Riverbend Campground

    Nice campground with friendly staff

Interesting the other review was for a first time out with their travel trailer!  Same for us!

We got site 106 which was the furthest one out, it was right along the river.  The site has a concrete slab and fit our Jayco 174BH perfectly.

This site does is a back in, but the slab is at a 90 degree angle from the drive.  So you will have to back your trailer around a corner if you plan to park it on the slab.  Didn't see other sites like this.

The campground did have a very small selection of items to buy, but mainly snacks.  They do fill propane tanks, but only during week days.

The site had water and electrical, but no sewer connections.  they do have a nice dump station.

The camp ground itself did have at least 2 pet areas neither are fenced so a leash is required, along with a playground for the kids.

We have Verizon and had no issues with cell signal at this campground.

Also, this is a private campground, so they have a guy that stands at the gate to open it when guests come arrive.

    Elkamp Eastcreek

    Best place in Washington state

This is the cleanest, most cared for camping site I have ever been to. The owners Tom and Brian, make your stay very enjoyable. They care about you having a great experience, whether you’re a first time camper or a seasoned camper. They have a great store with snacks, wine, beer, and local sourced goods. They have games you can use while you are there, like corn hole and board and card games, free of charge. Sites are large for travel trailers and motor homes, they also have tent and group sites. Trailer and motor home sites have power and water, there is a dump station you can use on your way home free of charge. The bathrooms are large and very clean, the shower is 4 quarters for 6 minutes, those of us who try to take a 3 minute shower in our rigs so we don’t run through all the hot water so our partner can have a shower without waiting for the water to get hot again it’s a blessing. In the evening Tom or Brian drive through the park seeing if anyone needs ice or firewood, if there’s not a burn ban, bring a propane fire pit for your camping experience. They also sell propane so no fears on running out. The best thing is you are under a large canopy of trees which helps to keep you cool even on the hottest days. There is a small creek to put your chair in and put your feet in the water. Our first year there we brought 4 other people, this year it was 28. We make Elkcamp our yearly get together. Family friendly and a great place to unwind. You’re only a few miles from mineral lake, bring your trunks, inner tube, or your paddle boards. I’d give it a solid 10 out of 10.

What to do

Trail access nearby: Sun Outdoors Gig Harbor positions campers close to waterfront areas with shopping nearby. One visitor shared that "Waterfront is right down the street. Costco, Home Depot, Albertsons and other shopping close by."

Mount Rainier proximity: Enumclaw Expo Center RV Park serves as an excellent base for mountain exploration. A reviewer noted it's a "Nice older park at the base of Mt. Rainier. Water and Electric (50 amp) only. There are several dump stations nearby."

Outdoor recreation: Blue Sky RV Park offers activities on-site when you're not exploring the region. According to a reviewer, the park features "Mini golf basket ball court, lakes, bingo, free donuts and coffee showers are bug and clean price is fairly cheap."

What campers like

Privacy options: Lake Pleasant RV Park offers natural separation between sites. A visitor mentioned, "The grounds are quiet... truly silent... save for the many geese that call the lake in the center of the property their home... the trees between spots offered a really nice level of privacy."

Extended-stay accommodations: Tall Chief Campground provides affordable monthly options. One camper shared their experience: "Stayed 3 months for work, perfect beautiful, CHEEP CHEEP, not too good to be true, just right. All hook ups included. (Bring your dump tote!) easy easy easy dump station."

Urban-rural balance: Some parks offer nature settings with urban amenities nearby. A camper at Blue Sky RV Park described it as "A Quiet oasis tucked into the forest. The new and clean bathrooms and showers were a real treat after a 2100 mile journey from Texas."

What you should know

Age restrictions: Certain RV parks limit older vehicles. A reviewer mentioned about Enumclaw Expo Center: "It looks really nice but the don't allow drop-ins or vehicles older than 20 yrs."

Reservation requirements: Many parks fill quickly, particularly for shorter stays. At Midway Village RV Park, a caller discovered: "They're a long term only location with 6 months or more as the minimum stay. They recommend angle lake RV down the street."

Cell reception variability: Coverage differs significantly between parks. A Tall Chief Campground visitor advised: "Another thing that can be annoying is trying to find a site with good cell reception due to all the trees. They definitely have a few, but I would say arrive early so you can drive by all the sites while checking to make sure you have good reception if you need it."

Tips for camping with families

Playground availability: Not all parks cater to children. A Sun Outdoors Gig Harbor visitor mentioned the park is "Pet friendly, but not many attractions for children (no playground, no pool)."

Kid-friendly activities: Angle Lake RV Park provides recreational options. A visitor noted, "We did not use the bathrooms, but enjoyed the walking trails, playground for the kids, and watching the resident ducks in the pond."

Space considerations: Some parks offer more room than others. At Tall Chief Campground, a camper observed, "We love Tall Chief because it is super close to a lot of great spots around the Seattle region... Most sites are pretty big too. We can easily fit our trailer, tow vehicle, and extra vehicle and still have space!"

Tips from RVers

Leveling requirements: Some sites need significant adjustment equipment. At Issaquah Village RV Park, a visitor commented, "Office manager is a real doll. Park is actually in need of some attention. It used to be larger than it is now, but the city purchased it and it is only half as big as oft used to be."

Electrical capacity: Power infrastructure varies between parks, with some offering limited amperage. At South Prairie Creek RV Park, RVers find "flat spots" that accommodate larger rigs, though one camper noted being "disappointed in the bathrooms and service."

Shower facilities: Quality differs significantly between parks. At Tall Chief Campground, a visitor praised: "Bathrooms are usually found to be immaculate. The main bathrooms have a great 'spa' feeling to their design and make you feel like you are glamping."
