Top Glamping near Bryce Canyon National Park

Southern Utah is home to some of the best national parks in the US, and Bryce Canyon is no exception. Though sharing a state with parks like Zion and Arches, the relatively small Bryce Canyon holds its own. The park draws more than two million visitors per year to its camping and hiking opportunities.

While it has only a few campgrounds, they operate a large number of campsites between them. Sunset Campgrounds works on a reservation system for its entire season, while North Campground is open year-round, with reservations required from late May to the beginning of October. If you can’t get a spot, the best camping near Bryce Canyon is available just outside the park’s boundaries. Bryce Canyon City, UT, is just north of the park if you want something established. Boondockers will appreciate the vast quantities of BLM land.

    Avoid at all costs

Right on the highway, very noisy. Showers are listed as an amenity, but they charge $8. That’s not an amenity. There is no wifi in campground.

    Must visit!!

We stayed at Crazy Horse for one night while visiting Zion. It’s located in the gorgeous little town of Kanab. We purchased a campsite just to park our van after a long day of hiking. The staff was so friendly in the front office, they made you feel like family! And their dogs are so cute. We were able to take unlimited hot showers included in our nightly stay, the bathrooms were so clean and felt like a rustic spa. The laundry was coin operated, attached to the office. We walked to Escobar’s Mexican restaurant right next door for dinner and omg it was amazing. Best salsa we’ve ever had. We heated up leftovers the next morning in the office microwave. The best part of it all was the incredible scenery surrounding this rv park, red rock mountains everywhere and hiking trails. Kanab is a special town with friendly people, great shopping and food. Visit the shop Gifts of the West, owner was super sweet and we bought some beautiful native items. This place is a gem!

    Incredible - true oaisis

This spot is incredible. Airstreams, pull in spots, cabins. AMAZING year round outdoor heater showers, “drive in” movies every night. My kids loved it, I loved it. Great homemade, great for zero days. Highly recommend.

The Place to go for Bryce Canyon NP

Nice check in experience. Friendly staff was help for directing us to some items in the store and filling propane. There are 2 sections of the park. Lot of sites located under the trees (like we had), another area is more out in the open which looked to be newer and great for big rigs. The park shuttle picks up right in front. There is also bike paths that you can ride to the park. The bike path also heads the other way for miles! We will return here if ever this way again.

    Fun place!

My daughters and I had a great time! There was a fire ban however, propane grills were allowed. If you didn’t have one, they had a community one you could use. Showered were a bit dirty. Girls hair everywhere! Pool was fun, mini golf and loads of other family activities. We had one funny incident the first night we got here. We couldn’t figure out where campsite was because it started out we pitched our tent at the wrong site. Eventually, we got to the site where our tent was and realized what our mistake. Family memories as we couldn’t stop laughing.

Large and Well Appointee RV Park

Amazing location for Bryce Canyon National Park on the road to the park entrance and shuttle into the park available. Well appointee with everything you would expect from an RV park (LP, small convenience store, laundry, etc). Walking distance to town of Bryce Canyon and the Ruby business org has all kinds of offerings in the town (country music dinner, general store, bike/rv rental).

    The Riverside Ranch

    Great Location for National Parks

Very good park in the small town of Hatch, Utah. Clean quiet park with full hookups and all the necessities. Bathrooms and showers were good and staff was very friendly and accommodating. Recreational stuff at the park was good although we were gone during the day visiting local national parks. Can be very windy at times so awnings stayed in the whole stay(4 nights). Pretty level sites on gravel. Perfect location to do Bryce Canyon(45 min) and Zion(90 min to East entrance) We camped at The Riverside Ranch in a Motorhome.

    Cute rv park!

The spots were great with River rock and hook ups, and the staff was great. Bathrooms, showers and dish cleaning areas were close by. Short drive to Bryce.

Thankfully it was the slow season or I’m not sure how I would have been possible to back our trailer into the back in/pull in site. They are definitely designed for rvs and not trailers so plan for a pull through if you’re towing.

Wi-Fi signal was non existent in the back section of this campground but we didn’t come to be on our phone. Bathrooms do the job but could use a renovation.

    Rock Springs Bench

Great Views of KodaChrome Basin but sketchy access

We've camped here several times during the spring, summer and fall in our 26 foot toyhauler.  Gets pretty hot in the heat of the summer but great in the shoulder seasons.  Dirt access road that can get impassable when it rains (and believe them when they say impassable!).  Not a lot of dispersed camp sites, maybe 6 or 7 in this immediate area.. if you drive down the road toward Lake Powell (Highway 389).. there are more places to camp, but the road can get washed out or blocked by falling rocks along the way, so be prepared to turn around and head back towards Cannonville.

    Nice Stay

Level, clean, FHU. Enough room for our 45 ft 5th wheel and found a nice spot for our extra vehicle. Nice little and clean run for our dog. Owners were super nice and helpful. The containers and cabins look cute. The view of the red cliff is stunning. There was road noise, but it quiets down at night.

    Always a Blast

We have visited Duck Creek Campground a few times, and it's always very clean and pleasant! Restrooms sometimes are out of toilet paper, but we always bring spare rolls for any situation. But the campgrounds are kept trash-free, the amenities are clean, and the folks who keep up with everything are super nice and helpful!

Best campsite we had so far this trip !

We are new at the RV adventure and we needed a last minute camp following a change in our schedule. We arrived quite late and had no issue getting a site, and what a sight 💕 the camp manager was available to help us and we had a amazing evening in a very isolated campsite. We took site 60, accommodated our RV and we were very close to the restroom ( super clean). Would not hesitate to come back !

Wide Hollow Campground — Escalante State Park

    The worst campsite ever

I reserved site 16, which is described on the Park's website like this:

    "Dirt area will accommodate 1 12x12, 1 12x15 and 1 10x12 tent.

Morning shade over table, evening shade over the driveway.

    Popular site."

The site was nothing as described. They have clearly been upgrading the service road that borders the site  and the construction has had a major impact on this site, which people should be aware of. With room for 3 large tents, I thought this site would have plenty of room for my one tent. I was incredibly upset when I arrived and found the entire site (with the exception of the concrete picnic table pad) is a slope down to the service road. One of the flat areas pictured on the Park's reservation site was covered in some sort of construction debris or a large pile of dirt/mulch. There was nowhere flat to pitch a tent except MAYBE at the bottom section which borders the service road. I stood there in disbelief as  I watched a front-end loader and other service trucks rumbled up and down the service road and couldn't imagine pitching my tent a few feet from all that noise. I paid $58 for two nights and was beyond upset to find a campsite with no place to camp.

    Great Overnight Stay!

After a long afternoon in Bryce Canyon NP this was a perfect stop for us and worth the payment for the campsite. Sites were first come first serve and accessible to 2WD vehicles with low clearance. Showers were overall amazing and the bathrooms were even warm at night when it got chilly. Definitely would stay here again when visiting Bryce.

    AWESOME

First off, centrally located between Bryce Canyon & Escalante/Kodachrome Basin. Top that off with o e of the cleanest campgrounds and not too crowded. Full hookup with dumpsite. Clean hot showers/bathrooms. Nice on site store with RV needs. Gravel not dusty. Trees for shade.

    IF YOU LIKE THE CROWD

Very large campground, most likely to have a spot except in extreme peek time. That said, if you need showers/bathrooms there are 3 stations that will be crowded for the campground size. Full hookup with dump at sites 👍🏻. Pull thru sites and pictures online. Mostly shady with trees.
