Best RV Parks & Resorts near Pleasant View, TN

Pleasant View's surrounding RV parks include Nashville North KOA with 95 sites operating year-round, Grand Ole RV Resort & Market in Goodlettsville, and RJourney Clarksville RV Resort featuring 67 full-hookup sites. Most parks offer concrete or gravel pads with 30/50-amp electrical service, water and sewer connections. "The roads and campsites are made of small pebbles, which made it easy to drive and back in," noted one visitor about Grand Ole RV Resort. Pull-through sites accommodate larger motorhomes at most locations, while Elm Hill RV Resort provides waterfront options on Percy Priest Lake with unobstructed views for big rigs up to 45 feet.

Several parks near Pleasant View maintain shuttle services to downtown Nashville, making them convenient base camps for exploring Music City without driving. Interstate access varies by location, with Nashville North situated just off I-65 while others require navigation through secondary roads. Cell service strength fluctuates across the region, with most parks offering moderate to strong signals for AT&T and T-Mobile users. Dump stations supplement full hookups at larger resorts, and propane filling services are available at select locations. A recent review cautioned that "the 'rv friendly directions' included an 8 mile hilly and windy road that turned into dirt halfway through with lots of potholes" when approaching Piney River Resort, suggesting drivers of larger rigs should call ahead for specific access information.

Grand Ole RV Resort & Market

Peaceful, Well-Run RV Park with Great Location

We really enjoyed our stay at The Grand O RV Resort! The staff was super friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. A man even led us to our site in a golf cart and helped my fiancé back in and park our trailer, which was a huge help.

The campground had a small store with supplies, a restaurant with a menu available (though we cooked our own food), and live music each night while we were there during the summer — a nice touch! There’s a train that passes by on the nearby track a couple of times a day, but it was never super early or late and didn’t bother us at all.

We stayed in the center of the park, which didn’t have much shade, but the outer edge sites seemed more wooded. The roads and campsites are made of small pebbles, which made it easy to drive and back in. It was overall very quiet, and the location is great — just off the interstate, about 10 miles north of Nashville, and roughly 45 minutes from Bowling Green. We visited the National Corvette Museum and Lost River Cave while we were there.

Our site had full hookups (water, sewer, and electric). The bathhouse was clean, air-conditioned, and accessed with a key code — two toilet stalls and three showers for women, all very well maintained. We didn’t use the laundry facility (if there was one), but the Wi-Fi was decent, and T-Mobile cell service worked well, even for using our hotspot. It’s a pet-friendly park (though we didn’t bring pets), and while there’s no pool or playground, there were some nice wooden swings to enjoy.

They also have firewood for sale and a propane filling station on site. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely recommend The Grand O to anyone looking for a quiet, clean, and well-located RV park near Nashville!

    Nashville KOA Resort

Nashville KOA is a great place to stay when visiting the Music City.

The campground has a variety of sites from deluxe paved pull through with patios to back-in full hookups to tent sites. We stayed in the back-in sites side of the campground. The sites were close together(but not on-top of each other) and many were long enough to handle most average sized rigs. These sites were gravel with grass between, which was well maintained. 50& 30 amp service available. Very flat with minimal leveling needed. The wifi was spotty when the campground was full on the weekends.

The bathhouses have individual shower access with separate toilet facilities. These were clean and well maintained. The entire campground was very well maintained and landscaped beautifully, which created a welcoming feeling.

There are numerous amenities: pool, hot tub, playground, pickle ball, corn hole, etc. Live music is offered at the pool area a couple nights a week in addition to movies. The camp store is small, with limited selection, but it is attached to a nice size indoor rec room and restaurant/snack bar. A Camping World Store is also right next door to the campground, which is very convenient.

A shuttle service is offered daily from 10:00AM-1:30AM between the KOA and downtown Nashville at the Country Music Hall of Fame. The cost is$10 round trip per person. The staff were very friendly and willing to help with any issues and questions. We enjoyed our stay and found the price($68) reasonable for the great location and amenities offered.

    Bowling Green KOA

    Standard KOA/Awesome stay!

This is a typical KOA park but in an awesome area. The only downside is the traffic noise from the highway. It was not audible inside the RV so it wasn’t enough to disturb sleep.

The park has nice long pull through spaces, and quite a few long term residents of the park. They have a very nice dog park with obstacles for them in a central location to be accessed by everyone.

The sites were level and clear of obstacles. They left plenty of space for vehicles and rigs. We had a pull through patio and the space had a giant beautiful tree that was very helpful in the heat.

Equipment is well maintained at this location! Cell service for AT&T and TMobile we’re both excellent.

    Tanbark Campground

    Very Nice Overnight Stay

We stayed one night. It was very nice. Cash or check only. Veteran and other discounts. Inexpensive. Check in after 12:00 Check out 11:00. Pull through full hookup 30/50A service. Fast friendly check in. Some sites gravel, some asphalt. Older building for restrooms and laundry, but meticulously maintained. Level enough that I didn't unhook, just lowered jacks for stabilization. I don't see where the complaints about space come from. All of the tight spaces are taken by full time residents. We had more than enough room for a 36' 5th wheel with 3 slideouts, a cargo carrier on the back, tow vehicle (which I didn't have to unhook) and a second vehicle. We could have fit another car if needed. The person behind us parked his truck between his rig and ours. In front was a fire ring on a 12' wide patch of grass. There are full time residents here, but most of the rigs look a lot nicer than other places we've seen. Beautiful area. Was surprised how low the road noise is being so close to an interstate. We wouldn't even hear it if our door was shut. Very quiet. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you for recognizing veterans and offering a discount.

    Elm Hill RV Resort

    Beautiful location

This park is located on a peninsula on a lake close to Nashville. Almost every site has a view of the water on flat concrete big pads. Some sites, on higher land, are mostly long term residents. Most sites are back in but there are a few pull through. Each site has all hook ups and are very well maintained. The sites are close together but not uncomfortable. There is a camp store at the main office. The pool is very nice and there are games, a playground and a pavilion. There was a band there during my stay. Activities planned throughout the month. It is more expensive than most but the quality of the site is worth it.

    Two Rivers Campground

Nice RV park for visiting Nashville

Helpful staff, gravel level sites with concrete pads that have picnic tables on them. Full hook ups. There is a private bus the staff will call that will come pick you up and take you to downtown and return for $10.00. I took the bus because parking is more expensive than the bus fee. I didn’t use the laundry or showers but they looked nice and clean. Great place to stay while visiting Nashville. They had live bands every night out by the pool area while we were here. Nice place for a private park. I would stay again. Camping world is right next door if you need anything. Back in and pull through sites.

    Two Rivers Campground

    Great CG in Nashville

We spent two nights here (May 24-26, 2022). This is a nice, easy access CG with level pull through and back-in gravel sites in Nashville. It is located within a loop of the Cumberland River, between two RV dealer/repair facilities and surrounded by two RV CGs- it’s a busy area. There are a number of activities available: live music, swimming pool, recreation hall, playground and dog park. We did not make use of the laundry, bathrooms or showers. It is a great base camp to visit the Nashville (Grand Ole Opry) area. The WiFi was great as was cell phone reception. The cable TV worked well. We would stay here again.

    Nashville North

    City Outskirts campground

Nice little spot, freeway right behind the park and can hear cars all day/night. Internet was down when we got here and cell signal is hit and miss on all 3 Carriers (Verizon, AT&T and T-mobile). Delivery of anything is challenging for the drivers for some reason. Overall the facility it self is up-kept and clean. Good place for short term but look for better long term options.

    Shady Acres RV Park

    Shady Acres campground, Lebanon Tn

This is a perfect spot for passing through town. We are in our way to North Carolina from Mississippi. My husband made this reservation over the phone with a really trusting kind person. They double checked the availability because they were almost totally full. It was a pull through spot close to the bathrooms. We were able to use just electrical hook up for the night to rest. It’s a few minutes off I-40 and lots of gas options close by. It’s only minutes from Nashville downtown. This is a family owned business with a permanent house in the front. Looked like there were some long term rental people here. If it were summer months there is a pool up front. We will add this to our list for location and price!

Guide to Pleasant View

RV campgrounds near Pleasant View, Tennessee cluster along the Percy Priest Lake area and I-24 corridor. These parks offer varying levels of interstate accessibility, with sites typically featuring concrete or gravel pads accommodating vehicles up to 45 feet. Most campgrounds maintain moderate to strong cell service across major carriers, though signal strength can fluctuate at parks farther from interstate highways.

What to do

Water recreation at Percy Priest Lake: Four Corners RV Resort provides direct lake access where "We rented the pontoon and enjoyed the beautiful lake" according to one camper, though they recommend "bringing bug spray for your RV because at night they are all over the door and walls." The resort features concrete pads and spacious lakefront sites.

Live music events: Grand Ole RV Resort & Market hosts regular performances for guests. "Live music every night, breakfast and dinner available daily. Really is a great spot," notes one visitor. Weekend entertainment continues throughout the summer at several parks.

Swimming opportunities: Four Corners RV Resort offers both pool and lake swimming options. One visitor described "a swimming beach as well as several relaxing spots, a playground, a bark park and a dog washing station." The rocky lake bottom requires water shoes for comfort.

River activities: Piney River Resort provides multiple water-based activities. "We enjoyed daily time sitting by the river while our kids play and swim," reports one family. Visitors can kayak, fish, or simply wade in the clear water.

What campers like

Quick interstate access: RJourney Clarksville RV Resort provides convenient access for travelers. "The campground is easy to get to off I-24. We checked in and proceeded unescorted to site 22 with FHUs," notes one reviewer who appreciated having "two sewer holes as our rig has two black tanks."

Clean facilities: Nashville North KOA maintains well-kept amenities. "Swimming pool was very busy and well maintained. Level gravel sites and bath house very clean," reports one visitor. Another mentioned "a laundry center, store, new playground, pool, dog play area (Kamp K9), checkers, ladderball, and shuffleboard."

Staff assistance: Piney River Resort emphasizes personal service. "Very personable owners and staff, they greet you when you arrive and check with you and say goodbye when you leave. Like friends you never knew you had," writes one camper. Another mentioned that "Allen the park host even guided us in our spot and gave assistance getting back in."

Natural settings: Elm Hill RV Resort offers waterfront sites. "We stayed in a river front pavilion. That side of the campground is not crowded. The water is crystal clear and cold," reports a visitor who enjoyed watching "the younger crowd jump off the cliff into the water."

What you should know

Road conditions vary significantly: Access to some rv sites near Pleasant View, Tennessee can be challenging. One reviewer warned about Piney River Resort: "The drive in from the highway was very scary on narrow, windy roads with dropoffs on the side. We took the staff recommended route in and Co-Pilot's route out and both were scary in our Class A towing a car hauler."

Noise considerations: Nashville North KOA experiences highway noise. "Sites are very close together. Not much room between my rv and neighbor...Noisy due to the highway that is very close. Great sounds of the trucks to keep you awake," reports one visitor. Several campgrounds near highways have similar sound issues.

Train activity: Grand Ole RV Resort sits adjacent to active train tracks. "This is right off the main road so there can be some traffic noise...There is also a very active railroad track that runs right along the back," explains a reviewer who wasn't bothered by the sounds. Another noted trains pass "a couple of times a day, but it was never super early or late."

Seasonal insects: Lakefront camping brings mosquito challenges. A Four Corners visitor reported, "The first and last night we stayed the mosquitos were so bad we couldn't be outside. There were two nights in between that it was tolerable." This affects evening outdoor activities at waterfront sites.

Tips for camping with families

Playground availability: Some Pleasant View area campgrounds offer limited play equipment. At Grand Ole RV Resort, one family noted, "They show a playset on their map and it was two regular swings and a baby swing. This was disappointing since we had little ones."

Swimming safety: Elm Hill RV Resort provides supervised water areas. "The swimming pool was great and they had live music on Saturday night," reports a visitor. Natural swimming areas require more caution, with one visitor at Four Corners suggesting improvements to "the beach area, possibly some more sand, and extending the swimming boundary. Rocky Bottom must wear water shoes."

Entertainment options: Nashville RV and Cabins Resort offers recreational facilities. "Sites were large with awesome pool and play areas for kiddos," notes one family. The resort provides a convenient base for families visiting Nashville attractions.

Kid-friendly policies: Four Corners RV Resort has some restrictions. A visitor observed that "Bill, the manager...doesn't like kids. He would prefer the camp to be 55+...All because one of the kids was swinging too high for Bill's liking." Check with campgrounds about specific policies for children.

Tips from RVers

Site leveling: RV sites near Pleasant View, Tennessee vary in levelness. At Piney River Resort, a camper with a larger rig reported, "We couldn't get level and couldn't put our slides out. All around rough stay. I'd say this is a much better stay for smaller RVs."

Site length accuracy: Nashville RV and Cabins Resort maintains precise measurements. A visitor at another park warned, "Be very cautious of the site lengths. Some are extremely short and I'd say the measurements are nearly exact...It was exactly the length we needed with nearly zero wiggle room."

Backing assistance: Grand Ole RV Resort helps with parking. "A man led us to our site in a golf cart and helped my fiancé back in and park our trailer, which was a huge help," reports one camper. Another mentioned, "Backing my trailer is not my strong suite but the guided me through it like it was nothing."

Cell service reliability: Connectivity varies by location. At Nashville North KOA, "Cellular signals were good for AT&T and TMobile, we were able to work and stream." Another park reported that "Internet was down when we got here and cell signal is hit and miss on all 3 Carriers (Verizon, AT&T and T-mobile)."
