ScoutGreat place to spend a couple of nights. Went over Labor Day weekend with 5 or 6 other groups and still felt like we had full privacy. Fire pits, an outdoor shower, and a porta-potty. Cute horses and barn cats to pet and watch

RangerVery very nice campground. Good signage and off 441 N. Not any places to eat without going into Clayton. Beautiful park with large sites, some paved. Laundry to was clean. Reasonable size dog park, dog walk and outside dog bath. Lots of trees, very clean and trash pickup at your site. Office lady was very nice and check in was efficient, even though we made the reservations at the last minute. It’s not cheap by any means but you get a lot of bang for your buck.

My husband and I own a few of these gated executive sites inside Clemson RV Park at the Grove and I 'd like to tell you why we bought here and how we fell in love with it so that you may want to come stay here too! We have children that attend Clemson University and the park is only 4 miles away! Great for visiting, Parents Day Weekend, and especially football game weekends! The staff and owners of the park could not be mpre helpful and friendly. The park is clean and has a more upscale feel. The owners continue to amaze me with all the additions going on. There are beautiful cabanas by the pool with plenty of seating and lots of picnic tables to enjoy lunch by the new pool! Two laundry rooms on site and restrooms with showers are a great bonus. During the football season on Friday nights live music can be enjoyed as well as a dinner buffet! Everyone is very friendly and you can really feel the family type atmosphere. A free shuttle will take to you and from the game, so just enjoy the ride and skip the parking hassle! There is so much to do in the upstate of South Carolina and this is the perfect spot to rest for the night after sight seeing waterfalls and hiking trails. We hope you will think of us if traveling through or just want to visit update SC!
RangerVery pretty campground in the fall. Operators live onsite and were friendly. Full connections and no issues leveling. Easy in/out and close to Greenville, Paris Mountain, Travelers Rest, Swamp Rabbit Trail etc. Bathhouses were very clean, but the lights are on motion detectors which weren’t sensitive enough to pick you up in the shower. We both had a couple moments of total darkness to contend with. A camp cat hung around our site at times and loved the heat coming out of our furnace. We don’t have pets so didn’t mind. Cell coverage was great (att & Verizon), so we had no issues working our 9-5s. Love the bubbling creek next to our site, which was so pretty from our back window. We’d definitely stay again.

ScoutWe travel and camp at many places across South Carolina but this was our first visit to Calhoun Falls State Park. What a gem! Beautiful scenery, large, spacious lakeside campsites. We enjoyed privacy, lake access from our campsite, and spectacular sunset views over the lake. Rangers and staff at park store are friendly and helpful. We can’t wait to go back.
GuideThis was by far one of the coolest weekends I spent in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Pisgah National Forest on the outskirts of Asheville, NC is a must stop for all ages. I say that specifically for not just the camping, but what can keep you entertained during your afternoons as well. We stayed at the Davidson River Campground which was right near the entrance of the forest if you're coming in from the south, as I did in South Carolina. There's over 150 campsites here, and we lucked out by finding one on short notice. The location of the campground is neat given its location by the river, but it's even cooler given is location near Sliding Rock and Looking Glass Falls. Within a few minute drive, or bit of a hike you can ride a natural waterslide or sit in the pool beneath looking glass falls. Even in Mid-July the water will keep you chilled. One of my favorite places to visit in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
GuideThis campground is located just off of I-85 exit 1 in South Carolina, making it a good place for an overnight stop if traveling. Being an older park, the roads can be quite bumpy and the sites could use some work. One loop is open year round, but the sites aren't what I would call waterfront although you can see the lake. A variety of site sizes are available and most are back in, but a few pull throughs are available. Not a lot of "living" area around the campsites as most of the campground can be rather brushy.
