If you don’t mind the traffic in this big box retail outlet that doesn’t have enough parking spots for the teams of shoppers coming here, then you might find some space here at the Sam’s Club in Willow Grove. Conveniently located just due north of 276, a major highway in and around Philly, if you are having difficulty finding a spot to call home for the night, this Sam’s Club is tucked away in a major shopping center complex and if you time it right, you might just find a spot. Despite the lack of space, one bonus is the club gas station that you’ll find here.
Aside from the Sam’s Club that’s planted here, there’s tons of other retail offerings that increases the convenience factor of this spot with a large offering of restaurants, gas stations, hotels and big box retailers, so you will be able to load up on just about anything while here. Here’s a snapshot of restaurants: Mod Pizza, Elevation Burger, Outback Steakhouse, Smokey Bandit BBQ, Chick-fil-A, The Copper Crow, Qdoba, Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza & Wings, Corner Bakery and Matsu Sushi. Looking for anything to keep your RV running? Apart from gas stations, there’s also shops like AutoZone Auto Parts, Pep Boys, Mavis Discount Tires. In addition to Sam’s, other big box retailers include Lowe’s, Home Depot and Walmart.
Insider’s tips? Here’s a handful: (1) If you were looking to actually enjoy a bit of nature while in this area, I would recommend going for a nice stroll in nearby Henry Lee Willet Park, which is just kitty-cornered from here across the highway; (2) Should you need to let the kids unwind for a bit to run around and explore, I would suggest a trip over to Legoland Discovery Center, which will let you and the kids build with the famous toy bricks to your heart’s content; (3) To experience something really unique to the 'City of Brotherly Love,' check out nearby Philadelphia Zoo that has a beautiful sculpted garden and folk art installations that are worth checking out; and(4) If embracing some history is on your radar, then check out The Stoogeum, which will have you revisit those 3 dudes who made us laugh over 50 years ago!
