Find yourself trying to find your way through the ‘City of Brotherly Love’ and can’t quite find a spot to land your RV or 5th Wheeler? Well, if finding a flat, safe and otherwise un-jam-packed spot to call home for the night is your objective, then this Home Depot in Montgomery might just afford you a special slot of pavement to call home for the night.
Located due east of Highway 476, this particular Home Depot is situated in the bustling suburban town of Montgomery where this parking lot is nearby a number of other big box retailers like Lowe’s and BJ’s Wholesale Club that also offers up its own gas station, surrounded by many other restaurants and shops as part of the Water Tower Square shopping center. As for the parking lot itself, it’s quite safe, very large and not incredibly busy, so finding a flat piece of pavement to call home for the night should be nothing short of 2 letters: E + Z.
The best part about this location is not only the EZ access from Highway 476 that you’ll have, but also the overabundance of the many retail, commercial and consumer-friendly offerings this place is surrounded by. Add to this the pretty safe vibe you’ll feel – as a fellow RV owner, one thing I want to ensure is that my vehicle, but much more important, my family and friends, are never in a place where anyone feels uncomfortable.
Hungry? Well, whet your appetite at any one of these amazing eateries: try your luck at DiNic’s Roast Pork & Beef, Ooka Sushi, Chipotle, Ariana’s Ristorante (guess that makes it Italian?!), Stone& Key Cellars, Bull’s Restaurant & Tavern, Pho’s Today, BJ’s Bakery, Bonefish Grill, Taco Bell, Miller’s Ale House, Dunkin’ Donuts or Michael’s Family Restaurant. Got to get that computer fixed? No worries, Office Max has you covered. Need to get your prescriptions filled? Chill. There’s a Walgreen’s. Want to do some thrifting? Excellent – check out Goodwill. Oh, and anything you might need to keep your RV running, there’s 7-Eleven gas station, Pep Boys, Mavis Discount Tire, Jiffy Lube as well as a number of nearby auto and gas stations.
Insider’s tips? Here’s a few: (1) For those seeking some historical significance to your otherwise mundane stay at a parking lot, you can still enrich yourself by trekking over to Valley Forge National Historical Park that will certainly enlighten you about the Revolutionary War; (2) Should you be rocking up to this particular pavement encampment, then check out Amazing Escape Room, which will keep the kids otherwise occupied and perplexed for a good 2.5 hours, while you can cater your time to other, much important things, like say, checking out the Fonthill Castle, where there’s a pretty amazing palatial home with some pretty far out displays; and (3) If you’re driving an RV, I have to believe that you’re actually searching for a slice of nature, so if that’s the case, you’ll want to check out nearby Morris Arboretum & Gardens over at the University of Pennsylvania, where there are tons of plants, trees and other flora to explore that will leave you feeling pretty impressed.
