Home is where you park it.

Great park for overnight, short term or long term. Moved in 11/25/19, today is 03/22/20. Full hook ups, incl water, sewer, garbage. Electrical is extra. Great people in the office. Park is paved grass at every sight. Close to town, convenient store close by. Showers, restrooms and laundry available for campers.

    Hitching Post RV Park

A Diamond in the Middle of Nowhere

I had originally intended on staying at Ukiah-Dale State Park, but at 4:30 p.m. in October found it prematurely closed (wasn't updated on ORPD's website). This meant another hour on the road hoping the next town, Long Creek, would have an acceptable place to land before dark. I was surprised to find that it did indeed. Hitching Post RV Park, is very simple, very basic, very clean and very friendly. It was perfect for what I needed. Full hookups, easy parking, nice view of a local ranch in the back, deer everywhere!! It was also super quiet all night.

    Wheeler County Fairgrounds RV Park

    A Hidden Gem

Fossil is an awesome little town near the Clarno Unit of the John Day Fossil Beds. The Wheeler County Fairgrounds RV Park is super clean, with full hookups and decent size sites. There's a wonderful little trail right nearby the takes you up to the city water tank and 360 view of the town and area. Fossil also has the best grocery store in the area so stock up on fresh produce. Movie rentals too!!! Only downside is that there's no connectivity in town. No phone, no wifi, no cable, no nothing. Bring lots of books or have your iTunes downloads ready to go....or just enjoy the peace and quiet.

    Wildhorse Casino

    Full service Casino campground

Great whether into the casino scene or not. We use it for an on-the-way stop over. There is a full RV/truck stop fueling station at this location with a C-store.  Pull thru sites. Sites are narrow/small. Full hook ups. Very easy roads/maneuvering in and out. All paved. Very convenient to the freeway.

    Pendleton KOA

Great views of the Blue Mountains, for an in-town KOA.

This KOA has many of the amenities associated with KOA campgrounds, including a camp store, flush toilets, showers, and a "rec room." It does not have a pool. It does have full hook-ups and caters to RVs and campers. It sits at the edge of the cowboy culture town of Pendleton, famous for its enormous rodeo, the Round Up, which takes place the full second week of September annually. You will NOT find a campsite here - or lodging anywhere else in town- during Round Up, as approximately 10,000 visitors crowd the town and typically book a year or more in advance. Also, while this KOA is clean and pleasant, it is quite crowded and many of the RVs and campers parked here are home to local folks "living on the cheap." It can be noisy, and there is little green space to enjoy, but the campground is situated on a bluff with beautiful views of the nearby Blue Mountains. Restaurants and gas stations as well as a couple of hotels are within walking dustance, just a block or two away.

    Plymouth Park Campground

    Beautiful campground!

We’ve enjoyed our stay at Plymouth. Not all sites are full hook up anymore. Nice open space the kids loved playing in and a playground. We had a few windy days, and some perfect spring days. Quiet and peaceful.

    Shady park like view

Fairly level site 95 fit our trailer & truck totaling 55”. People tend to not leash their dog which is a problem for my dog. Full hookups, check in is 3pm out is 11am. About 10 miles outside of Pendleton, OR (post office for mail and packages, Walmart Supercenter and Safeway. Arrowhead travel center for gas or munchies that has easy RV access. Free WiFi and 2 bars of Verizon LTE. Just off of Hwy 84. We did not enter the casino. Roosters restaurant in Pendleton provided safe distance dining in a clean environment.

Nice campsites, close to the river and beach/cove and Marina

Stayed here for four nights.  Was last week in June so temperatures in the 90's.  Beach/cove is very nice and good place to paddle-board or kayak.  Didn't use restrooms but the rest of the campground was clean and tidy.  Not much traffic within the campground.  Some interstate noise but not bad.  Full hook-ups, picnic table and shade trees.  Check-in staff was very friendly.

    Pool AND Tipis!!!

We stayed in the Wildhorse Resort Casino RV Park & Tipi Village the day we purchased our trailer. The surroundings are sparse but what it lacks in scenery they make up for in amenities. There is a pool and a shuttle service to the casino. While we didn't go to the casino, we did spend a lot if time in the pool and envied those staying in the tipis. This is a great stop if you are traveling from Western Oregon to Eastern Oregon. The grounds and restrooms where clean and we enjoyed our stay!

    Northwestern Motel & RV Park

    Junktown and Methville

Only a couple of spots available to back in to and the others are taken up by the less than desirable full time occupants, the owners or slumlords who own the motel across the street from the park have purchased older RVs and rent them on a monthly basis, it will do in a pinch but do yourself a favor and go to the RV park 5 miles out of town by the reservoir.

    Umatilla Marina & RV park

    Clean and quiet

The Umatilla Marina & RV Park is a small park on the edge of Oregon and Washington along the Columbia River. The park is clean, well maintained, and has water, electricity, and a dump station.

The marina has a large parking lot and spots to clean fish. There is a nice park and swimming area for kids.

The McNary Dam and Fish window are a few miles down the road and well worth a visit (when open).

    Boardman Marina Park

    Clean and accessible

Be advised that if you go in the off-season the spots are first come first served. We were disappointed to find there was no water hookup as they had already winterized. It would have been nice if that had been included in the outgoing message so we could have gotten water else wear.... as the nightly rate was the same with or without. Other than that it was a clean and comfortable park with a great 2.8 mile trail for biking and/or walking along the river. The trail has a great little microbrewery that serves pizza so bring your wallet! If you venture down to the Rivers Edge Lodge you’ll find the trail continues a bit further along the river out in front. I would give this a 5 star but my camping style requires more trees and privacy but as far as open RV Parks this was very nice. We were in spot 27 which sits sideways to the river with a nice view.

Easy to access - pleasant facility

A pleasant facility that is easy to drive and maneuver with a tow behind trailer. Sites were fairly level with lawn and a picnic table. Property is well maintained.

Sites 1-5 are across from the office and along the road out - so one needs to anticipate truck noise and idling early morning when people might be leaving. The RV park is well behind the casino complex - you need to drive past the truck stop and casino going north to reach the access road (it’s on the way to the golf course).

The casino and golf course are adjacent - but it’s a good hike; use the shuttle or just drive over. The casino facility have several restaurants and movie theaters. The City of Pendleton is about 10 minutes west should you need food or supplies.

Seems more like an rv park than a campground. Someone let there dog pee at our site as we were pulling up and it backs up to apartments. Never again.

    Great RV Park

Very well-designed campground, beautifully maintained, mainly open and grassy with scattered trees, but plenty of space between most campsites. On the Columbia River has an 18 hole disc golf course adjacent to the campground and a 3 mile paved trail along the river. The nicest RV park we've stayed in, so far.

Port of Arlington RV Park & Marina

    Nice small park.

We stayed at the Arlington RV Park and Marina in Arlington, Oregon in September 2021. This is a nice, small park that is directly beside the Columbia River on the Gorge. The sites are FHU and are level but a bit tight. We did get our fifth wheel in with careful maneuvering. Be forewarned that it is very windy here on the gorge and we would advise getting your leveling jacks down without using Legos so as to have extra firm footing. Also, be careful not to leave your awnings out unattended. They also have boondocking on the upper part of the lot directly on the river. It was much too windy and cool here for my liking so we stayed in the lower FHU sites. Very beautiful area here to walk and enjoy the river and city park. We would definitely stay here again. Pilot RV Park

    A great place to stop

This is our 2nd stop here. We stopped a few weeks ago at the start of our trip. The rv park is next to a Pilot truck stop which creates some noise and traffic but the plusses far out weight any issues they create. They took our reservation from the road so we could drive right into our pull -thru space. Since we were stopping for a weather delay, we just hooked up electric and used their restroom and shower. To say clean doesn't do them justice; the facilities were immaculate. The staff are friendly and helpful. Had no problems watching a movie with their free WiFi. The Pilot gas station was a convenient place to pick up snacks for the day the next morning.

    Umatilla Marina & RV park

Near the I-82 Bridge Oregon side

There are few campgrounds near Umatilla, OR and when we were there several public facilities were closed. We very rarely ever stay at RV parks but it was getting late and we had just driven on 395 through the snow and fog. There were tent sites available for $20 so we checked in at the office to be assigned our spot. Unfortunately, someone was there who hadn’t paid so we were told to choose another. They had the better spot but we just took another as they were in a tent and probably freezing to death.

During the night, some people camping in their truck would start the engine every hour to keep warm plus the truck traffic over the I-82 bridge was noisy. This was in late October 2020 during a cold snap.

The only good thing is that the flush toilets were clean and you could take showers using coins. There was a key code for the bathrooms and free WiFi. There were shade trees and a nice lawn area, but the area with hookups was further from the traffic.

We would probably not stay here again.

    Coalmine Hill

Good for hiking, not so fabulous for camping.

Let's start with the positive folks. This site as an amazing parking area that is large enough for rvs and horse trailers to be able to turn around without any issues. There's a wooden pin to be able to keep horses safe and secure over night. Almost all campsites are shaded. There is a trail for either a long hike or a short one. With two littles, we did the short on which around trip was under 3 miles. It looks like if we would have kept going there is definitely an uphill climb to continue the treck, but I'm sure the few is gorgeous on top! Now is time for the negatives that really just makes this place not that great. The campsites are very close together. The ground isn't very level, so tent camping would be bumpy and on an incline. There's also little tree trunk scattered out through out the whole place so it is kinda dangerous for kids to ran around a play. Mosquitos can be murdereres so lots of bug spray! Last thing, it is rather close to the main highway so lots of noise from the traffic.

    Rustic and comfortable

First appearance very rustic, but there are many full hookup sites. Made reservations but when we arrived found campers squatting in our spot. Camp host had become ill and was not present. Called the county and they handled the matter swiftly. We were given another site along with a site for friends that joined us.

A little fishing pond with small trout jumping. Very quiet and lovely campground.

    Boardman Marina Park

Peaceful and clean spot by the River!

My idea of camping is a bit more rustic than this lovely grassy park by the river. However I certainly took full advantage of the amenities. Full hookups, clean laundry facilities (2.50 and 1.50 I believe) and walks along the Columbia! A great respite after a desert campground. The picnic table locations in our sites were a bit funky, not near the doors, but by the utilities. But the sites were large and grassy.

    Nice and quiet!

This is where we start our camping season...on Mother's Day weekend! This is a small campground. Has a vault toilet but no potable water so bring your own. Each site does have a fire ring. Site 1 can hold about 2 RV's or 4 tents and possible 10 people. Site 2 is good for 1 RV or tent, Site 3 is closest to the river, tight fit for a RV but a small pull behind fits nice - could fit 2 tents. Site 4 and 5 is small. Site 6 can fit 4 to 5 tents or 1 RV/trailer. Taking a "Sunday drive" up and around is amazing! Great area if you have OHV's!

Quiet 27 spot state campground. No hookups, but the bathroom has automatic lights and electric outlets and is kept very clean. $10 a night self pay. You can buy a small cart of firewood for $5. We had the place to ourselves in early May. Right on Camas Creek. Lovely.
