About

The best in all of washington county too!

Horning's Hideout is a hard place to match as a location to host your next company or family picnic, reunion, party, or gathering. There are picnic areas for both the small or large groups, so we can accommodate sizes from small family groups up to a couple thousand people for your company picnic!

No equipment necessary

Our large, reservable picnic areas feature an abundance of tables, a covered pavilion outfitted with barbeque pits, horseshoe pits and lawns for volleyball and other field games. For reserved areas, gaming equipment is provided, so all you need to bring is you and your friends! And if you need a caterer, we have very good ones we can recommend. The lake is well stocked with trout for fishing fun for the kids, plus paddle boat fun (equipped with super soakers) for everyone. So come on out, play games, have a fishing or volleyball contest, or just soak up the scenic beauty and let us give you a perfect picnic day! Hours for family picnics are from 8 AM till 8 PM everyday (summertime hours)and for a company picnic hours are from 11 AM till 8 PM! For prices or availability call or email.

We have portland's best campgrounds!

Camping is by reservation only so please call or email! We are also a camp ground, not an RV park, so there is no long term camping over 4 days.

Camping is available in this wonderful setting, with either tent or RV sites. Tent camping is either in the woods or in more open areas, group camping or individual, while RV sites have power and water hook-ups, plus we have a septic dump on site. Individual Tent camping is $25 a night up to 3 people, RV camping is $30 up to 3 people. For tent camping over 3 people/group camping is $7 per person, for RVs if you have over 3 people it's $7 per person extra on top the $30. In the summer camping is by reservation so you must call or email.

Great Music Festivals + Disc Golf

This is a beautiful campground, and a great spot to festival. String Summit is an incredible experience to be had, owners are super low key and it's always a lot of fun. Plus they have 3 disc golf courses, that are very unique, both challenging and a putter course with lots of obstacles and elevation changes. Highly recommend - oh and peacocks!
