"Brough us in through the exit, late at night. Didnt find the pull throughs which were nicer, (fewer goat heads). Showers were too sketchy for me to indulge and that says something. "

Really cute campground set up for kids and dogs! Hosts are so friendly and I love supporting a family owned business.
We took the first spot, which was an easy pull through with a primo level parking spot right by a fire pit and a great spot to sit and watch the sunset and fireflies. Good swimming, too. Very quiet and private. Verizon coverage was good! Bonus: check out the Augusta Metcalfe museum just down the road (free) for some awesome frontier paintings and history!
Although our lot which was in a concrete pad was not level, everything else we used was good. We had full hookups for a reasonable price especially with AAA discount. Seemed a little out of the way but worth it. We needed to stop somewhere to get something mg for the RV and happened on the park manager. She was personable and helpful. She recommended Braum’s ice cream shop and diner. Only an 8 minute walk away; it was a quaint place to visit.
We stayed one night and it was great. Right off I-40 but surprisingly quiet. Area is very clean and owner is very nice and helpful. We pulled in to take a look after a long day and called and she told us which spots were available (you can see on the website too and book there). Definitely would stay again.
This is a very nice, almost overbuilt rv park with landscaping, water features, pull throughs and sprinklers. We needed close to rt. 66, it was very nice. Incredible bathrooms.
The refrigerator rigs provided nice white noise. Bathrooms were clean. There is gift shop inside and the ladies were nice.
Cruising East thru Amarillo TX I was looking for a place to bed down in my tent. 7th day on the road. Found this and gave them a call. Came in late, let myself into the field and bedded down. Best night on the road yet. So peaceful! I did get woke up to cows by the tent but I loved it. I will definitely be back next time thru. Sorry no pix, just enjoyed the night. BTW it's Lone Mountain Ranch on Google as Dyrt doesn't have the address.
The campground has a bar/restaurant adjacent to where you check in. Nice showers
While this place is good for a person to sleep and leave, it's set up poorly. No rules. No level or close to level spots! Definitely not good for disabled people! You have to carry water over 40 feet!
