Big Lake Big Sites

This campground has three main sections, one for permanent campers and boaters, the new section (Section 5 which is great) and another primitive section up on the hill. Section 5 is the bomb!! We stayed in the 5-520-531 section. Sites are new, clean, full hookups, with plenty of paved surfaces to…

Quiet and Clean in the heart of Amish Country

We enjoyed 2 nights in this well maintained park. We had difficulty leveling one night in lot 3 but traded to #4 the next night and did fine. The many pull thru lots looked like a good level base. Pavilion, Basketball court, showers and laundry all nice. The campground was quiet and located just a…

Clean and convenient getaway

Last weekend we stayed at Tappan Lake Park in Deersville Ohio. We reserved a spot in the “new section 5” of the park. I haven’t been to Tappan lake in probably 15 years with a RV. I have to say I was very happy with the facilities (restrooms, showers, and laundromat). The park was relatively…

Perfect Boondocking Hide-a-Way. Sites are free of charge. Sites 50 and 51 are joined in a loop drive with mostly level spots. No water or electric, but vault toilets and trash dumpster are available.

A small lake for boating and fishing. There are a couple of trails for hiking. There is no cell…

Salt Fork Primitive camp sites

Plenty of nice park in lot and walk to sites. All on the edge of the woods, surrounding small open fields.

In the heart of Amish Countryside

Grateful we found room on the BZ labor day weekend.

Such a wonderful and welcoming staff.

Needed to trim some overhead branches and they came right over to take care of it. Outstanding welcome

Water pressure was low, they came right over with a new back flow valve to remedy.

SPOTLESS…

Typical State Park

The park itself is huge with many hiking trails, a huge lake with unlimited horsepower (bad for kayaks), an interesting historical museum, a cave overhang and lots of Bigfoot lore.

The campground is average for an Ohio State Park- think huge, exposed fields with no tree cover, and hundreds of…

Our 1st Anniversary

All the employees were sweet and helpful. We stayed in a primitive site just like we like. It was peaceful and relaxing even though we were not right on the lake our view from our tent entrance was amazing. We were able to rent a fishing boat and relax on the water. Unfortunately i didnt catch the…

Sand hollow

Great site. It's not listed on maps, but it is right across the way from hook lake, there is an access road you'll go on that will take you there. It's right off 83 in McConnellsville, outside Caldwell, ohio. Beautiful spot, there is a pond for boating and fishing. Fish are bluegill, bass, red…

Small, but wonderful

I liked the thought of a smaller campground. Less noise and people. Even though it rained the majority of our trip, it was a great time. The staff is super friendly and keep everything nice and clean. Highly recommend for a nice, quiet weekend!

Lots to see and do!

This park is huge! There are several areas to pay for camping as well as primitive camp. It’s near the water and they offer several trails. Other than the trails, there is a stone house to view as well as a cave. We explored both and thought they were both interesting. The paid sites are pretty…

First Time Here for one night

I was excited to stay at a new location. Found my way there and selected an open spot directly across from the bridge. That spot was taken, appeared to be a family living on the bridge. Half of it was filled with their belongings. Looked like other areas, up on the hill, were also set up as…
