Overall good experience

The site was good size and included a picnic table and a fire ring. Site however was very close to other sites and not very private. had to pay with quarters to shower not a problem but inconvenient. Site was very close to water and boat launch and that was great.

Small, quiet and fantastic!

Jacques Cartier State Park is a model which most parks should follow.  The park is unbelievably well kept.  The sites are large with some located with waterfront (St. Lawrence River).  A boat launch in the park may it easy for boaters.  A beach/swimming area is great for the whole family.  The park…

Beautiful park

Great fishing from almost every part of this park. Two beaches to swim. Almost every campsite is on the water. It’s so nice it’s hard to reserve, because people grab it nine months in advance! Wonderful!

Nice tent spot, quiet, nice owner

We stayed on a Monday night and it was very quiet. A lot of empty spaces. And a lot of seasonal campers were gone for the week. The owner was super nice and it was close enough to the State Park to run over to the beach. Nice large, flat spot with full shade. Maybe I'm still on Midwest pricing,…

Wonderful, windy and can be buggy

Overall, our trip to this campground on an island was awesome! The sunsets were spectacular and our site was literally just steps from Lake Ontario. All sites are full hook up. Wifi is available and fairly good. Trash is picked up from your site between 8-10am each day. Staff was VERY nice and…

Gorgeous Sunset Scenery

Campground was clean with newly paved roads. Unfortunately (and fortunately for future visitors) there is a lot of construction going on as the grounds are now owned by Sun RV Resorts (from KOA). That was annoying and disruptive to us but the improvements will be nice for the future.

Pool was…

Island Getaway

We stayed at Association Island on Lake Ontario in Henderson, NY, for a three-night excursion to celebrate my daughter’s end-of-9th-grade and start-of-summer. We’re so glad we did!

When I made the reservation, this campground was a KOA, but has since changed owners and dissociated.…

Ontario Shores RV PARK

A well kept quiet place. The seasonal campers are friendly. There are 7 overnight pull thru full hookup sites with concrete patio, Sites a level and spacious. Open field to walk the dog or for children. Lake Ontario a short walk away, the lake level flooding a few yrs ago ruined the sandy beach, but…

Lake views!!

Beautiful new buildings on site, variety of campsites. Favorites are the beachfront sites, access to the beach and beautiful Lake Ontario. Small campground but very nice.

Rip-off

*If you like RV resorts and places where people drive around in golf carts, disregard my review, you will  probably love this place

OK, I hadn't planned to stay in an RV resort, but was unpleasantly surprised to find that the two nearby state parks I had hoped to stay at were not accepting…

Sleepaway camp, family camp, day use

Beaver Camp (or, officially Adirondack Mennonite Camping Assoc.), is a classic summer youth sleep-away camp on Beaver Lake. Sleeping in cabins with bunk beds, swimming, canoes, and a high ropes course, gathering around the campfire to end the day- Beaver Camp has it all.

Weekend and week long…

Beautiful

Great location offering both sunrise and sunsets over the water of Lake Ontario. Loved the access to the water for our dogs to swim and for beautiful views. Our site backed up to the water and although it was windy they thought ahead and built the fire pit up to block it. Our site was a little…
