Close to GC North Rim and very wooded

Demotte was heavily wooded with fairly private sites. A variety of camping situations and equipment coexisted easily. The 15 min drive into Grand Canyon park was great (psssst cheaper gas inside of GC park than outside of it).
Pit toilets, potable water, and picnic table and fire ring were all appreciated. No showers and no Verizon cell service at all. I’d stay there again! Just wish there were more amenities.

Convenient to Bryce, great bathrooms & showers

Ruby’s tent area was separate enough for the hordes of RVs to make it an okay place to stay. Lots of car campers in this area (like us) and enough elbow room that you are not on top of each other. They advertise free WiFi, but it is a weak throttled network that is frustrating to even open email on. The good news- great cell service in Bryce!
It was a decent choice to be able to book in advance. The people were nice at check in and the Bryce shuttle runs from this location.

NO overnight parking

Tons of sites, toilets are plentiful, nice location

We got a nice pull through site with a picnic table, fire ring, and near the clean pit toilets at about 5:30 pm. Tons of folks were looking for spots from 6-8. The site was nice, spaced away from others, and very very convenient to Arches NP. $15 fee for the Utahraptor State Park that manages it now.

Beautiful location close to Bryce NP

Clean bathrooms and showers ($2.50 for 8+min) and beautiful setting in the pines with the red sandstone hoodoos in front and red cliffs behind. I’d recommend it, but it is first come first serve with folks looking for sites before 8am on their way to Bryce.

Nice sites on Carlyle Lake- great host

Our site was on the shore and had good spacing from others. The bathrooms, showers, and laundry all close by. Good hot water in the showers. The host was friendly and helpful. I’d go back again!

A treasure! Interesting place and lovely campsite

Hovenweep is a national monument with small but modern quiet campgrounds. The dark skies for amazing stars are spectacular. While they do not have showers, their bathrooms were clean and convenient to the loop of campsites. It was quiet and the rangers were friendly and warm. The Hovenweep monument archeological treasures are well worth scheduling a few hours to hike and visit. There are several ancient structures on the site (a small canyon) and the hikes are short and sooooo worth doing.

Black Mesa night sky

Not only were the stars and Milky Way amazing, but everyone was so respectful with dim red lights in yes. The facilities were very clean and modern. The site itself was private and comfortable. I’d happily book there again for future travel. I used a Thermocell bug device and it handled the bugs quite well.
