Cozy campground. Clean single person bathrooms. Golf cart, paddle board and kayak rentals available. Campground is on a very steep hill so it is difficult to walk around.

    Hamlin Beach State Park Campground

    Beautiful and quiet

07 and 08 2024.  We stayed in loop A, the showers and bathrooms are newer in this area and no matter what time of day or night I went, they were clean.  Sites have a good amount of trees and shade, if you need solar, look on Google maps first before picking site.  The parkway to Hamlin may have some shorter underpasses for tall rigs, so pay attention or check ahead if you have a large rig.  The beach is great, and there are several playgrounds for kids.  Never saw the dump stations busy, but then again we didn't go right at check out time either.  Kids will be kids and laugh and play during the day, even though we're retired, we enjoy the sound of happy children.  Come quiet time, it was just that, quiet.  Odds are you will need to level your rig, dirt, stone etc., but that's to be expected, we are camping after all.  All the staff that we came in contact with were pleasant and helpful.  We live relatively near Hamlin and plan on going there several times a year.  Perfect get away.

    Stony Brook State Park Campground

Review about sites 321 to 325

I stayed here and it was very peaceful, but it was also pretty empty. Some of the sides are very close together, but if you look around, you can get one that has a little bit more privacy. Clean bathrooms, clean showers. Hikes from the site. Swimming as well!!

    Darien Lakes State Park Campground

    Great experience.

Check-in was quick and easy. Our site was spacious, clean, and pretty darn level. Bathrooms were dated, but pretty clean for the amount of traffic. Water was hot and had great pressure. We were there for @KingdomBound2024. The campground was 6 minutes from Darien lake Amusement Park. We will definitely be back next year.

    Sleepy Hollow Lake Campground

    Psychotic Management

If you have any concerns about their park or services they will immediately avoid you like the black plague!!! It's almost like they have things to hide, or don't want to justly return not even $1 that they are not entitled to. Running away from customers says a lot about their lack of professionalism, level of maturity, lack of integrity after they get paid, and the possible false statements they are making in their advertisements. To make a long story short, I did not receive all the services that they were supposed to deliver after paying them. The petting zoo is also questionable and one that should be looked at by PETA. Never going here again.

    Beautiful well maintained.

We have stayed at both a full hook up and a no hook up site, and both were roomy and clean. The park is awesome. I absolutely love the memorial park .

    Amazing place to stay

We had a great time here we stayed for a whole week to get the extra savings and we loved every day of it. There was something new every day. The waterfalls were amazing. The rec center had tons of activities and sports for the kids to do. They had a really cool playground, which was like a rope course.

Bathrooms were very clean. Lots of things to do for young ones; heated pool, splash pad, pickleball court, basketball hoops and Gaga ball court. Opportunity to rent kayaks, bikes and golf carts.

    Beautiful park

I loved everything. The sites are neat. We tent camped with no electric. $23 per night. Fishing allowed in the pond. Bathrooms with showers were spotless. Grass maintained. One small complaint is checkin and out times not enforced. Checkin states 3 pm but we saw many checking in as early as 8 or 9 AM. We could have gained a whole day!  Next time!

Lots of very wet, muddy sites where even mulch would have been helpful.

    Sugar Hill Recreation Area Camping

Dog Friendly Retreat near Watkins Glen

We stayed at Sugar Hill for about 10 days, arriving right after Memorial Day weekend. The campground offers a variety of great options for various rig sizes, accommodating different needs comfortably. Its location is convenient, just a 15-minute drive from Watkins Glen, making it an ideal base for exploring the area.

During our stay, the campsite never even got near half full, providing a peaceful and uncrowded experience. For those seeking more privacy, there are numerous secluded spots along the side roads throughout the park.

However, it's worth noting that WiFi and phone service are pretty limited, typically ranging between 1-2 bars. Despite this minor inconvenience, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend Sugar Hill for its tranquility and proximity to local attractions.

Bathrooms were very clean. Quiet campground. Lots of plays areas for kids. Weekend sites would be pretty tight together if they were fully booked. Golf carts not available.

Big park with lots to do

This is a big park with a pretty nice campgrouns. The sites aren't huge, but it's nicely laid out. There seems to be a lot to do for the whole family here without leaving the campground. There's a bathroom in every section that seems to be in need of updating, but functional. The playground is huge and there's lots of room for riding your bike around. The rest of the park is huge with a ton of trails and lots to see. Only downside is that the park is so big you really need to drive around to see everything.

    Finger Lakes Campground

    Scenic, pleasant campground

Good size sites, mostly back-in, some gravel and some grass. New owner making daily improvements. Great manager doing her best to accommodate every camper. Very limited to non existent cell service, Reason for 4 stars.
