    Big Guys Campground

    Activities for all ages!

There is so much to do at this camp! They have a jump pillow, pool arcade, movie room, RC track, and bingo for everyone. They have live music at tavern on the property with great food! They have a disc golf field, fishing, and so many places to go on the golf carts! They also go in big on their themed weekends. Great place to go if you want the kids exhausted at the end of the day!!

    Sugar Hill Fire Tower Campsite

    Free camping with amenities!

26 camp sites with bathrooms! That flush! Very quiet and the sites aren’t on top of each other. People bring their horses. You can drive to to your site and tent camp or camper camp. I would come back!

Ontario County Park at Gannett Hill

    Inexpensive, Peaceful.

I've stayed here on 3 separate occasions, twice in RV 12 and once in RV 6.

I used the 30 AMP hookup and had zero issues.

Beautiful playground for my son to enjoy and meet other kiddos. Deer, chipmunks and rabbits will say hi in the early and late hours.

    Large dumpsters near entrance.

Dump stations are present, but I haven't used them yet.

Potable water is present at a small spigot.

The washrooms facility is very close and speaking for the men's side, it had 2 stalls, 2 urinals, 2 showers, multiple sinks, and a sturdy baby changing station.

Hiking trails with gorgeous views of the valley within a 5 min walk of my campsite.

    Sleepy Hollow Lake Campground

    Kid friendly but Bee Problem

We had a lot of fun here and there’s a lot of activities for kids I would typically give this campsite 5 stars but our only problem was there were bees everywhere. I get some bees are apart of the camping experience and nature but we’ve never ran into this problem elsewhere. They were all over the campground it was very unpleasant and there was a nest under the playground we did advise management of.

    Hamlin Beach State Park Campground

    Relaxing 2 weeks

The camp store is closed along with no firewood and no laundry.

We stayed for 2 weeks and it was so relaxing. We loved biking through the loops and by the beach at the park. There was live music at the park during the week. The campground has an activity room full of things to do. As a state park, there are a lot of different people with different values, so be ready for the occasional obnoxious family. Our site was secluded and in the pines. We love it here and will definitely do this again!

    Woodstream Campsite

    Rip off

Have to stay at least 2 nights. Employees say one thing. Then boss charges me even though I was told it was okay. Aren't willing to reason with. Also traffic very loud at night

Guide to Honeoye Falls

Camping options near Honeoye Falls, New York span across relatively flat terrain in the northern section to more varied topography in the southern portion of the Finger Lakes region. The area sits at elevations ranging from 600-1,900 feet, creating diverse camping environments within a 30-mile radius. Most campgrounds operate from May through October, with many closing after the first frost when night temperatures consistently drop below 40°F.

What to do

Hiking the gorge trail: At Letchworth State Park Campground, visitors access an extensive trail system directly from campsites. "The campsites are in two main areas of the park and further broken down into many different loops. The loops near the Lower Falls are our favorites, but any choice is a good one. All are close to the gorge/river and wooded, and connect to trails directly from your campsite," notes Harry H.

Fishing in stocked ponds: The fishing pond at Ontario County Park offers easy catches for beginners and kids. "Fishing pond, playground, open fields for sports, much more," reports Sarah C. The pond remains stocked throughout summer months, making it ideal for casual anglers.

Mountain biking opportunities: Trail systems throughout the region support mountain biking for various skill levels. "Lots of trails at the park for hikers, mountain bikers and trail runners. Follow the Finger Lakes Trail all the way into town," explains Danielle P. about Ontario County Park at Gannett Hill.

Winter camping preparation: While most campgrounds close by late October, several sites offer extended season options. "Sites were nice, the area we were in was a little too open for our liking, but in a park with this kind of scenery it was fine because we didn't spend a lot of time at the camper," shares Jason about Letchworth State Park Campground.

What campers like

Spacious, level sites: Stay Bristol Woodlands earns high marks for its consistent site quality. "Site was level and well equipped (waste water disposal attach site!)" mentions Jody M. about Stay Bristol Woodlands.

Clean shower facilities: Campgrounds in the region maintain high standards for bathrooms. "Bathrooms clean and fully functional," adds Jody M. about Stay Bristol Woodlands, while another camper notes "The bathrooms were very clean. Quiet campground" about Southwoods RV Resort.

Private wooded sites: Webster Park provides secluded camping spots. "Camp sites are wooded and private. Very quiet and peaceful. Clean and well maintained," describes Amanda M. about Webster Park.

Well-maintained pools: Multiple campgrounds feature swimming pools as alternatives to lake swimming. "2 well kept pools, playgrounds, laundry facilities, mini golf, soccer, basketball. The employees are so helpful and nice!" says Hope C. about Southwoods RV Resort.

What you should know

Terrain variations: Sites range from flat to significantly sloped, requiring preparation. "Make sure to bring plenty of leveling blocks as some sites are far from level," advises Jonathan G. about Ontario County Park at Gannett Hill.

Cell coverage limitations: Several campgrounds have spotty connectivity. "Cell phone coverage is poor by Verizon and T-Mobile, and there is no WiFi, and no camp store (but the town of Webster is nearby)," reports Carl C. about Webster Park.
