ScoutThe owners were very nice and accommodating. We had a late night arrival due to multiple delays during the day and they made it very easy to get in and set up. It is a really cute little campground with a pond and surrounded by small mountains/hills covered in trees. We had a full hookup site and everything worked well. Would definitely stay there again if I’m in the area.

TravelerThis campground is fairly small with a lot of diversity in campsite size, privacy, and levelness. Our site was right next to another with little in between and our neighbors had a big rig and ran the generator long chunks of the day. The day use area is very nice with grass, shade and beach and swim area though it is a bit too far to walk especially with littles so be ready to drive over there. Rangers provided programming for kids and families on the weekends. Great for kayaking or Stand up paddling.

ScoutAbsolutely love this spot and highly recommend if you’re looking for a super private, true primitive camping experience. You have to park at the entrance and hike in about 1.5-2 miles with everything on your back to get to the spots. Once you get there, theres quite a few sites to choose from and each offer quite a bit or privacy. It’s completely free and it usually isn’t too busy since most people don’t like having to carry all their stuff in that far. You will be in the heart of the forest/woods so definitely make sure to be prepared. We had some scares with coyotes and bears in the past but never anything crazy. They give you a semi-flat area for a tent, a fire pit and grill rack, one picnic table, and a bear box you would be sharing with other campers nearby
LegendA little over a year old, and they have tons to do! Weekly themed events, spacious sites with fantastic views. The sites are level gravel with full hook ups and include a fire pit and picnic table. Beautiful swimming pond and a serene fishing pond located on site. The outpost has anything you might have forgotten to bring and everyone is ready to make sure you are enjoying your stay!

GuideWe loved this quiet, small campground near Mass Moca and Mt Greylock. It was very well maintained, and the staff were friendly. Sites are either wooded or open in the sun, with good distance between sites. The bathhouse was clean and well maintained. It is important to follow the directions and turn off of Rt. 2 onto Central Shaft Road (google maps labels it Shaft Road. It is between the Blue Vista Motor Lodge and Hoosac Range Preserve). The other road that accesses the campground is nearly unpassable with an rv, and there are signs about being toed at your own expense).
TravelerLake is surrounded by hills and there is a small lean two with a few campfire spots. Other campsites are scattered and require navigating through small overgrown trails (wear pants) We camped on the hill with a beautiful view of the whole lake and breeze.
