Stunning sunset view and great price

Just watched an amazing sunset from our spot. Conveniently located and super affordable. Very nice greeting from the man at the front desk as well. Definitely a nice find just outside of Taos.

Jemez perfection

Spacious campground with big old pines with a beautiful creek flowing through. Access to good trails for day hiking. One of the best camping spots I’ve visited. Stayed on a Sunday night - was quiet and peaceful.

Campfires 🔥 allowed

Very nice campground. Camp host, Dawn, was very pleasant. No luck fishing but several people around us were catching very nice sized trout.

Vault toilets were well stocked and clean. Trails near b for hiking and biking

Nice camp hosts

The campgrounds is nicely laid out and decent. There isn't much for shade or privacy. The camp hosts are very friendly and helpful. There are nice trails that you can hike or mountain bike. Some are near cliff edges and not for the beginners. The lake is nice for New Mexico and sees a lot of use.…

Great for a river trip

We visited memorial day weekend 2021 with a group of 6. This spot is beautiful with a good amount of tree coverage. It's an easy dirt road drive down the river and you will pass many dispersed site and a couple of defined camping grounds. The sites are all close to the river and at most a quick…

Nice, quiet, widely spaced sites, but lake almost nonexistent

We stayed in Blanco CG site 52 for 6 days in a 36’ Class A with a Cherokee Trailhawk tow. The park has gone to great lengths to make the sites level and most looked like they were. Ours was very level and I almost didn’t need to level at all. All of the sites are spacious and quite widely spaced.…

Overall, very nice, but a few little caveats

My wife and I spent 3 days here in late May.  Because we planned out trip a little late, we actually stayed the first night in Spot 16 (no hookups) and then the last 2 at Spot 14 (electric and water).  Spot 16 was in the "Chama Loop" and I have to say, this loop is really not for our rig (a 30'…

Nice Wooded Location

It is right off of the main road but was pretty quiet the two nights we stayed there. There are some sites among the pines soon after pulling into the campground (on the right) and then there are more both further in and to the left upon entering if you're vehicle is 4x4 and has some good…

A cozy private campsite !

Chama canyon is our weekend go-to place. Only 2 hrs from Albuquerque. Many campsites available (some are dispersed) along the river. Almost every single site here offers a nice shade and shelter for strong sunlight during the day and strong wind at dusk (it gets really windy at dusk!). River is…

Beautiful Views & Fun Adventures

When I pulled into the dispersed camping I was shocked to see 2 fire rings right there! There were two different ways to go and I choose to go right. All along the dirt road were pull offs and if you choose to go to the right side campsites you will end up at one of the fire rings with an…

Willow Creek site 12

This was a nice site. We felt far enough away from everyone. Bathrooms were closed for the winter and don’t open until May 15 yearly. There were not a lot of hammock trees (mostly cedar) but we did find a good spot. The site was clean and well shaded. We had 1-2 bars of cell service (Verizon).

We…
