    Cozy Corner RV Park

    Cozy location south of Clinton

Nice park that has flat/level sites with 50/30 full hookups. Salt water pool, play ground, camp store with onsite storage available for campers or boats, this is a great place to be if you want to do some fishing or hunting at Truman Lake.

Small pond on site and storm shelter. Cell coverage a bit shaky- park has wifi

Increase in the number of RVers has this place packed so a quick call and reservation to hold the site is recommended

    Great owners

    Damsite

    Good fishing and great views

Very peaceful campground. It has a peninsula with some nice, shady sites but also another very wooded area on a bluff. The backside of the peninsula has zero shade (sites 26-40). All sites have good picnic tables and fire rings. Sites near the dump station can be very aromatic. No swim beach but you can access the water straight from the rocky shore. A lot of people tie their boats to shore below their campsite. There is a gas station/trading post right outside the entrance. And a tasty little restaurant with all kinds of sandwiches and ice cream treats. Beautiful sunrises and the sun sets over the dam. I really like this campground. Family friendly and everyone seems to have a dog:) but people do a good job of picking up after them.

    Turkey Creek RV Park

    Nice Campground! Nice and Quiet!

Turkey Creek was a very nice campground for our month long stay.  The park is well maintained and clean.  It is very quiet!  There is a train track nearby, but we only heard it a few times during our stay.

Amenities included full hook up, laundry room, bathrooms, showers and a fenced dog park where you 4 legged friends can enjoy some off-leash time.  We had 4 bars with AT&T and waffled between 1-3 bars with Verizon.

The location is great for visiting local attractions such as Branson Landing, Silver Dollar City and Top of the Rock.

Really appreciate the park manager, she was friendly and brought an overpayment to our attention and quickly issued a refund.

    Great experience overall!

    Laurie RV Park

    Nothing fancy

We stayed here for 3 weeks, full hookups, all large pull through sites, (don’t stay in site 16)… (see photo) clubhouse and shower house is kinda nasty but we don’t need it, 6-8 trailers live there year round, no staff on site, WiFi was sketchy but if you are just looking for a place to stay and explore the Ozarks it works.

Raccoon Ridge — Harry S Truman State Park

Shaded, Quiet and close to the lake!

Site 36 with 30A & 120V. Public Water Spigot about 50’ away. No Sewer or Water connections at Raccoon Ridge. Plenty of dead kindling and wood around to burn. Asphalt drive with concrete pad. Picnic table, fire/grill ring, hook post w/ recycle bag attached. BEST Site is 38 which puts trailer door parallel with a 180 lake view. Heavy wooded with shared paths to lake or cove. Marina is within 1 mile by water or 15 minutes by car. Ice, Beer and necessities at Puddle Jumpers Bait Store about 10 minute drive. Hosts were great and did cleaning daily. Showers and Dump Station at top of hill few hundred yards away. Let shower water run about 3 minutes before the warm water kicks in. Swim beach is on other side of cove or about a 5 min drive. Dump Station has 4 Waste Holes, two Non-potable water spigots/hoses and one Fresh Potable Water hose and both sides have slight incline on dump tank side. Downtown Warsaw is about 15 minutes away with tourist antique shoppes, bars, ice cream shoppes and the historic Joe Dice Suspension Bridge. The Truman Dam is about same distance away. T-Mobile service with 2-3 bars, no WIFI; but HotSpot worked for ROKU. Keep food and bait inside as raccoons rule at night. Be CAUTIOUS of Red Ticks that are VERY tiny… you’ll want plenty of DEET! Flies were biting like crazy, some mosquitoes and LOTS of May Flies. You’ll see Bald Eagles, raccoons. deer, squirrels, chipmunks, hawks, turtles and FISHING near wooded edge of cove is Bass and Crappie haven!!! Also Geocaching near by!!!

We will return and hopefully get site 38!

    Damsite

    Another amazing COE campground

Another wonderful Corps of Engineers campground on Pomme De Terre Lake. There are basic campsites and campsites with full hookups. The campsites are spacious and overlook the lake. This is such a beautiful, well maintained campground. Every campsite is level and has a picnic table and fire ring. During the off season ( Oct 1 - Nov.30 & March 14th - Apr 14 ) all campsites ( electric and primitive ) are only $10. ( limited amenities) From Jan 5th - March 14th campsites are free at Damsite Park. However, there is no electric or water available at that time.
Please check the Pomme De Terre USACE website for changes and regular season rates. 50% off all rates with America the beautiful/senior access pass at all Corps of Engineers campgrounds.
I highly recommend this campground. 4g LTE and great cell signal.

    Cozy Corner RV Park

    Nice private park

This park is privately owned. It has a very nice in ground pool along with a storm shelter which gives piece of mind in crazy Missouri weather. Shade seems to be scarce at a lot of the sites (all are full hook up I believe). They have what seems to be quite a few full time campers living here. Hard to get through on phone lines to book and no online booking options but overall a very clean campground with friendly owners.

    Knob Noster State Park Campground

    Nice & Shady

Nice & Shady State Park; 30 amp only, no water or sewer at sites. Water readily available throughout the park, dump station near exit. Dumpsters are not near the the dump station. Cost: $21/night for electric site. All gravel, except handicapped sites which are nicely paved and level. Very quiet park, hiking & biking available, kayaking at park lake (very mossy), lots and lots of stupid raccoons at night.

    Knob Noster State Park Campground

    Quiet, clean and family friendly

Knob Noster State Park is close to Whiteman AFB and towns nearby for amenities. The park is clean and quiet. Weekends often mean a nearly full campground so make sure to reserve ahead! Weekdays there are few campers. The park is well shaded and it includes primitive and electric sites with water pumps within easy access to all sites. There are two sets of campground bathrooms—one is near the front and is brand new (2018); the other bathrooms are half way to the back of the campground. A dump station is at the front of the campground with a pull through drive. Ice, small grocery items and items are all available for purchase from the camp host. You can also rent kayaks either hourly or by the half or full day. There are lots of great trails for hiking, weekend park programs at the campground amphitheater, a playground and basketball courts. There is no WiFi in this park yet but I hear it’s coming soon. This is a great little park!!

What to do

Fishing at Truman Lake: Campers staying at Cozy Corner RV Park can access prime fishing spots within 15 minutes. "This is a great place to be if you want to do some fishing or hunting at Truman Lake," notes reviewer Dan & Penny F., who mentions the park's convenient boat storage options for fishing enthusiasts.

Mini golf for families: Osage Prairie RV Park offers on-site mini golf for family entertainment. "Great site with mini golf for the kids too," shares reviewer Evan L. The activity provides a convenient recreation option during downtime between exploring regional attractions.

Wildlife watching: Several campgrounds offer opportunities to spot local wildlife. At Deer Run RV Park & Campground, campers report seeing "deer, birds, squirrels, chipmunks, sometimes turkey," according to reviewer Denise D., making it ideal for nature photography or early morning wildlife observation.

What campers like

Storm shelters: Weather safety features receive positive mentions at several parks. "The park has a very nice in-ground pool along with a storm shelter which gives piece of mind in crazy Missouri weather," reports Amanda C. about Cozy Corner RV Park. Severe weather preparation is particularly valuable during Missouri's spring and summer thunderstorm season.

Quiet atmosphere: Many reviewers appreciate the peaceful settings. James H. at Arrowhead Point RV Park & Cabins describes it as a "Pleasant, quiet, and friendly experience." The park's location away from highways contributes to its tranquil environment.

After-hours check-in: Late arrivals find convenience at select parks. "This place we found super late, and was well marked and easy to access. There are street lights marking the parking areas which does leak some light but you're able to see the bathrooms," notes Kelsey R. about her experience at Cozy Corner RV Park.

What you should know

Cell service variations: Coverage differs significantly between parks. At Deer Run RV Park & Campground, one camper reports "No T-Mobile service," while others mention varying bars for other carriers. Arrowhead Point visitors report adequate service for most major carriers.

Highway and train noise: Some parks experience transportation noise. At Osage Prairie RV Park, Kevin L. notes it's "Next to busy highway and trains," something to consider for light sleepers. Sites furthest from these features typically offer quieter conditions.

Off-season limitations: Several parks reduce services during winter months. While many remain open year-round, amenities like pools, camp stores, and some bathhouses may close from November through March. Call ahead during off-peak seasons to confirm available facilities.

Tips for camping with families

Dog-friendly areas: Pet owners appreciate dedicated spaces at some parks. Turkey Creek RV Park includes "a fenced dog park where your 4 legged friends can enjoy some off-leash time," according to Stephanie, making it ideal for families traveling with pets.

Playground availability: Family-oriented facilities vary between parks. Becky M. notes that Turkey Creek has "No playground for kids," suggesting families with children should research amenity options before booking, as not all area campgrounds offer dedicated play areas.

Proximity to attractions: Consider travel time to activities. "The location was perfect for visiting Branson and its attractions," reports Becky M. about Turkey Creek RV Park, highlighting the importance of choosing a location that minimizes driving time for families with children.

Tips from RVers

Level sites: Many reviewers emphasize the importance of level camping spots. Jason C. appreciates that Arrowhead Point offers "Level sites with full hookups. 30,50 amp, water, sewer on every site," eliminating the need for extensive leveling equipment.

Site selection strategy: RVers recommend requesting specific sites when possible. At Sidetrack RV Park, the 31 full hookup sites include concrete pads that reviewers note are particularly suitable for larger motorhomes. Alana R. suggests at Arrowhead Point, "Shady spots, #22 is best."

Big rig access: Several parks accommodate larger vehicles but access varies. James G. advises about Osage Prairie: "long enough for tt and truck, gravel, full hookup... needed two blocks to level... some mature trees, some short sites, some longer, make sure to ask for longer."
