It's convenient

There's nothing wrong with the campground, but there's nothing particularly special about it, either.  It's a decent basic campground close to Mackinaw City, so a good alternative for folks that don't want to stay in a hotel/motel, while visiting.  There is a shuttle to the ferries, which is…

Simply the best!!

We’ve been here twice now and absolutely love it!! The beautiful scenic bike rides and sunsets over the bridge are to die for! The camp store has everything you might need. The staff is super friendly and the playgrounds are great!

Great place to stay

This place was great. We went with about 4 other couples and the shuttle they have to the island ferry’s is great. They even haul your bikes there for you. The location is great. All in all a nice campground.

Chill spot

We decided to stay 5 days here after our original plan fell through. It’s a smaller secluded campground with larger sites. We arrived in the middle of the week so there were a variety of sites available. Each site has a fire pit and picnic table. Be prepared to bring enough firewood and supplies…

Classic family fun.

My family has been coming to Cheboygan/Onaway

MI for as long as I can remember. This campsite is always clean, comfortable and fun. It is perfect for a getaway right on the water in a beautiful park. Especially in the fall this park is beautiful!! I will always come back to this park. I hold it…

Waterfront Camping at its Best

My fiance and I have been here multiple times over the last 3 years and have never been disappointed.  The beach allows for a relaxing day near the water and easy access to launch our kayaks. Clean bathrooms, accommodating staff, always wonderful!

Fun and Unique Bridge View Campground

Stayed here for one night before heading to Mackinaw Island the next day. It was fun, cute, and had a great beach. The facilities were a bit dated, but that added to the character. Lots of friendly people camping there! Very social!

Camping with Views of Mackinaw Bridge

This campground is beautiful any time of year I have camped there many times before. There are great private tent sites as well as larger sites for groups. The facilities were modern and very clean! There are water and electric hook ups for campers and RVs. Short hike to the beach with the best…

Narrow sites

Can not reserve the site that you want, assigned one when you arrive. Could not use awning, needed to put bump-out out. Very narrow sites.

Great state campground

Enormous showers and real bathrooms, for when you're tired of put toilets. Great view of the Big Mac Bridge, although it does have some highway noise. Sites are a lithe close and not as private, but great for a night or two, to get clean and fill up water, etc.

Underrated campground

Most people go to Wilderness State park on the south side of the bridge, but this is an equally wonderful campground.  As with Wilderness, this park has two sections of campgrounds- a higher loop in the woods and a lower loop along the shore of Lake Michigan.  Both are desirable and have decent…

We were not a fan of this park, and we're the demographic they aim for (3 elementary aged boys).  There is a small pool that was ALWAYS packed.  One night we were there, they put up a bounce house, but the teens who were supposed to be supervising just sat on their phones.  All of the sites were…

A great campground

First off, this place is huge and has a lot to do and take in. It's a great place to take a walk, ride a bike, explore a path, or participate in the many activities they offer or just relax. Different areas of the park have a different vibe but all are good. Views of the bridge at night are simply…

Beautiful Park on the Lake

We enjoyed our time at Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping! We stay a week and stayed on two different sites and loved both, but the lake front view was definitely the best. Great view of the bridge and island! Beautiful Sunsets! Biggest campground we have ever stayed at. They pack them in-small…
