Best RV Parks & Resorts near Ceresco, MI

CAMPER SUMMARY PRESENTED BYFord

RV parks within 20 miles of Ceresco, Michigan offer various hookup configurations and pad types suitable for different motorhome sizes. Camp Turkeyville RV Resort provides year-round full hookup sites with 50-amp electrical service, water, and sewer on concrete pads. "Spacious sites. Concrete patio at each site. Daily trash pickup at campsite. Very quiet and family friendly," noted one camper about Turkeyville. Harbor Cove RV Resort operates from May through October with full hookup capabilities, while Creek Valley MHC & RV Park provides year-round access though with fewer amenities. Hidden Ridge RV Resort features concrete pads and full hookups for larger motorhomes but operates seasonally from April to October.

Planning for RV travel in this region requires attention to seasonal availability and reservation needs. Many parks have limited availability during peak summer months, particularly on weekends. Dump stations can be congested during checkout times, especially at popular destinations like Hidden Ridge. A recent review noted that "lines at the dump/fill station can get long" at certain parks. Most locations accommodate pets with designated areas, though restrictions may apply. Cell service is generally reliable throughout the region, with stronger connections at parks closer to Battle Creek and Marshall. Propane refilling services are limited at most parks, requiring travel to nearby towns for this necessity.

    Markin Glen County Park

    Quiet hiden find

We stumbled across this park and it’s now one of our favorites. It’s a county park. Very small, only about 50 sites. All have full hookups and concrete pads. There’s a fire ring and picnic table. This park is all transient travelers, no seasonal dwellers. So not a lot of golf carts everywhere. There are paved trails and a beach in the park. The Kalamazoo Nature Center is only a couple miles away for many more miles of beautiful trails. Downtown Kalamazoo is about 10 minutes if you need an urban fix. It is a bit off the main roads but still not hard to get to, even with a larger rig. No road noise. Bathrooms were dated but clean. No issues for us with cell service or Starlink. Sites are reasonably spaced. There are a few pull through but most are angled back in. Tree coverage varies by site. Pet friendly but have to be leashed of course. Overall quiet vibe. Granted we were there toward end of season so it will be busier in summer but we would recommend this gem to anyone

    Holiday RV Campground

    Nice Park

Nice park for full timers. Large spots to accommodate big rigs and kids. Full hook ups. Cell service great with Verizon hotspot (22u, 20d, 38ms and AT&T cell(27d, 20u, 27ms). Playgrounds everywhere for the kids. Giant dog park and ponds. Pool was closed. Just needs more grass. Our spot was really patchy and resulted in a lot of mud.

Great campground with polite and helpful staff. Don’t pass this one up.

    Happy Acres Campground

Friendly, clean, and easy to get to

This was the first park we went to as new trailer owners. It did not disappoint. Staff are so friendly and helpful. It is right off I69 so easy access but you will have road noise. We did not find it intrusive but understand not everyone may think the same. Sites are gravel and where we were, pretty level. There are other sites you may need leveling pads on but nothing looked crazy. Our site had full hookups. Some had only water and electric. No issues with cell service or Starlink. We had a fire ring and picnic table. Not a lot of trees though. The seasonal parts of the park do. The bathrooms are modern and clean. Our site was a pull through, others are back in. It seemed to me that 3/4 of the sites are occupied by semi permanent seasonal tenants though. Almost looked like a mobile home park in a way with sheds and decks. They have the best sites along the water. The transient sites are separated from them. Because of the permanent residents there is golf cart traffic. It was not noisy or party atmosphere though. Angola is close for dining or shopping. All and all, enjoyed the visit and would not hesitate to stay there again.

    Shipshewana North Park Campground

Nice campground in a convenient location

We were passing through and decided to stop for frozen custard at the stand right next to the campground. The first review for this place did not seem very inviting but a more recent one was a little more positive. After checking it out, I thought it could use a little reinforcement of the positives! I’m not sure if there have been new owners since the first review but I received a very friendly greeting, and the office is open from 9 am– 8 pm and clearly marked as the place to check-in.

There are many options here: back-in or pull-thru tent sites, w/e sites, full hook-up sites, camper cabins, and fully equipped cabins. The campsites range from $32-$46 per night and the cabins range from $69-$144 per night. Sites 47-52 are close to the road so you will hear road noise, but Sites 11-35 are farther from the road and are more shaded. The layout is RV park style but there is reasonable separation between the sites.

The restrooms have a code for entry, and I did not see the inside of these.

    Amenities include:

    - a community fire pit

    -  game room with television

    - guest laundry

    - dump station

    - gift shop

    - pet friendly options

     -WiFi

    - There is, of course, an ice cream/frozen custard stand that I dare you to resist.

While we would not consider it a destination, we would definitely consider camping here en route – the price is reasonable, and the staff is friendly and welcoming.

    Twin Mills Camping Resort

    Beautiful Wooded Campground

Twin Mills is a really beautiful and quiet RV Campground, with tall trees in Northern Indiana. We frequent this location when getting RV Repairs and visiting Elkhart, the birth place of most RVs.

There are cabins and tent sites and a large lake access point with a beach area. The playgrounds seemed to be in good shape and the dumpsters were centrally located.

The park has a gate entrance for security.

There is a large pool area and basketball court.

There are several sections in the park, some more wooded and narrow sites, some are more spread out.

Cellular: T-Mobile had good signal strength and bandwidth, AT&T was not as good but still doable.

Most of the sites are full hook up, some have 30amp and some have 50amp.

Amenities: Pool Clubhouse Basketball Volleyball Picnic tables Fire rings Trash Playground Lake access Beach area Dock Cabins Tent sites

    Ted Ranch Campground

No thrills, largely rustic, family oriented, friendly

This campground is pretty rustic with water and electricity at some sites, no showers or restrooms, a dump station for one at a time, Porta potties scattered around, small beach, small boat launch, mostly appears to be seasonal sites without sewer or rustic sites. Some but not a lot of shade, rolling fields being made into smaller sized sites. Dogs and dogs pens are allowed, and they do not appear to have parents who are attentive or keep them from barking. Friendly staff and family of four owners.

    Markin Glen County Park

    Modern Campground Close to Downtown

This is a modern campground with full hook-ups and cement parking areas. It is a newer campground, so there is not an old-growth canopy shading the sites. Each site has a picnic table and a fire ring. Some sites are pull-throughs. Tent camping is allowed, but most campers have RVs.

There is a bath house with good showers.

The park also has a lake with a beach, although I have never been in it.

This campground has a great location for people who want to visit Kalamazoo. One downside is that there are train tracks that run near the campground and sometimes the engines idle for extended periods at night.

    Oaks Campgrounds

    Nice for the Night

Friendly staff. Camp store in office. Pull through full hook up site. Seemed to be more of a permanent campground but everyone was friendly. The campground hosted activities such as a potluck and dj dance party at the pavilion.

What campers like

Family programming: Many rv parks near Ceresco offer structured activities for families. "Kid friendly! This park always finds away to having something fun for the kids to do," writes Melissa M. about Hidden Ridge, mentioning their "hayrides, crafts, store, pond for fishing, golf cart rental."

Spacious campsites at Crooked Lake Campground: Campers appreciate the generous site sizing at certain locations. "Our campsite was huge and mostly private," reports Angie H., who appreciated the rustic camping experience with basic amenities.

Clean facilities: Many Ceresco area camping facilities maintain clean amenities. At Camp Michawana, "The bath houses are huge and well taken care of," according to Bailey C., though another reviewer noted inconsistencies in the men's facilities.

What you should know

Seasonal variations in campground availability: Most RV camping near Ceresco operates seasonally. Harbor Cove RV Resort runs from May through October, while Hidden Ridge operates from April through October. Only a few facilities like Camp Turkeyville and Creek Valley MHC & RV Park remain open year-round.

Distance to services varies by location: Some campgrounds are remote with limited nearby services. At Hidden Ridge, Beth H. notes "there isn't much close to the campground at all. Like the closest gas station is 15 miles. Not really any fast food restaurants either."

Reservation needs for Twin Mills Camping Resort: This campground fills quickly during peak season. "We had another couple that we camped with and were able to get two sites next to each other," states Melissa V., who recommends planning ahead, especially for holiday weekends.

Tips for camping with families

Golf cart transportation: Larger campgrounds often require significant walking between amenities. At Hidden Ridge, Clint explains, "Because of the size of this campground most people get around by golf cart. We rented a golf cart from them, which our kids had a blast just going for rides around the campground."

Swimming options at Harbor Cove RV Resort: While lacking a standard pool, this campground offers alternative swimming. "No pool but there is a small pond to swim in and a lake as well," notes Kevin C., providing water recreation options for families.

Tips from RVers

Electrical capacity considerations: Power limitations affect some RV sites in the region. At Harbor Cove, John M. reported electrical issues: "We had to keep hitting the Circuit Breaker every 5-10 minutes," cautioning that system capacity may not support air conditioning during peak demand.

Pad types and site characteristics: RV sites vary significantly across campgrounds. At Hidden Ridge, Julie T. notes advantages of their setup: "Spacing was generous between locations. We had a drive-in(forward) location(#10) overlooking the small lake."

Seasonal camper presence: Many campgrounds host long-term seasonal campers alongside short-stay visitors. At Moscow Maples RV Park, Brenda L. observed, "This is a smaller campground with some full timers or seasonal campers," adding "Everyone was very friendly and we felt welcome there even with the seasonal people."
