Nice stop, not far from 1-35. Has full hookups with pull thur sites. Older shower house, but was nice and clean, friendly staff. TV reception was fair, wifi was skecte, but the closer you get to the office the better you can get there wifi. About 3rd of the park has long term tenants, but all in all nice place
Beach, shelter areas, boat ramp, camping areas, RV hookups, showers. Not well maintained, but free. Industrial fans across the beach are an eye sore
This park is in our hometown. It's where we stay when we are not traveling. We have stayed in a number of the sites. They are somewhat close but it's never been an issue. Full hookups. Grocery store is literally minutes away. The RV Park is located at the south end of town on Highway 59. The owner is very accommodating. Good Verizon signal. Park has wi-fi. Oswego has a beautiful city park. Fishing is popular here, at the Neosho River and in the nearby mined pits. Also nearby is Big Brutus, the largest electric shovel in the world.
Clean and well maintained KOA. Friendly personnel. Shaded, pull thru sites as well as back-ins, cabins, and tent sites. Sites are very level with crushed stone pads. Good water pressure. Lots of grass. Patio sites are available. Internet is poor, as typical of most RV parks. Cable tv with about 30 channels. Good stopover park.
Stayed overnight in this lovely RV park. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The park is really lovely with plenty of large trees and green grass and spacious sites. This is one of the nicest RV stays I’ve had. We enjoyed a garden right outside our door. There was free wi-go and cable TV. There was a BBQ our first night which was so gracious and enjoyable after a long day of driving. I wish we had planned a longer stay. I highly recommend.
This place was very quiet. We arrived and the owner was extremely helpful and nice. We were passing through town and found this place. Full hookups and level spots. Would recommend.
I stayed in one of the airbnb cabins this past summer and it was super comfortable. Everything I needed for a great stay. Awesome managers and such a peaceful surrounding. I know there are new pedestals and hookups for RVs and they have been working on the swimming pool for 2023. The A-frame cabin is being renovated for a new laundry facility and new showers/bathrooms too.
Overnight stop on way from Texas to Nebraska. Full hookup sights for $25. Have 37 foot 5th wheel and fit fine. Pads are gravel but level. Nice quiet stay with minimal traffic noise, etc. there are trash cans with water and sewer.
Osage Prairie, Site #46 (46 total sites), long enough for tt and truck, gravel, full hookup, close, but not bad, on interstate service road, no major noise, wifi poor, $39 with mil discount, otherwise $44 per night, no cable tv, no OTA TV, needed two blocks to level, some mature trees, some short sites, some longer, make sure to ask for longer,
October 1-5, 2019. Love this park. Site 8 had electric, water and sewer. Park had dump station, OK showers and flush toilets, Verizon 4G 2 bars. Elevation 906 ft. Most sewer sites were to high to use. Paid $11 with Sr. Lifetime pass. See RV Camping Journal for details.
This place is a small park that has lots of hiking trails it is five dollars for tents $10 for RVs with electric the bathrooms are Porta potty but for five dollars you can fish and you can have a campfire permit pretty much anything you wanna do you can purchase by the day here for about five dollars each item is really a nice place for the family to come they had a super decorated for Christmas
Delightful office staff. We did not make advance reservations, but called when we were about an hour away and insured they had sites available. Long pull-thrus with full hookups. For an overnight stay, this is a nice campground.
This RV campground is great for the ones looking for a quiet place to stay for a couple days or longer. It is very easy to get into from I44, the park is very well maintained and level sites, lots of trees. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We stayed 2 nights on the 4th of July weekend and had a great time. They had a 4th of July celebration for the guests!!! I will definitely stay here again in the future!! Great place
This is a small municipal campground just outside of town on the banks of Spring River. It is a no frills campground- porta potties that need to be emptied and a big open field with no set campsites. There are a few scattered picnic tables and grills and even few fire rings. But, it’s $5 a night for tents and $10 for RVs, which are separated from each other. There is a boat ramp and some nice fishing spots, but it looks like getting in the water is the preferred method. Across the river there is a local rodeo arena.
This could be a really nice little campground if it weren’t for the party vibe starting at 7am (yep, there was that one guy pounding beer and cranking tunes at 7am). Camp sites are divided by the road with RVs on one side and tents on the other. A person can easily walk under the bridge to get from one side to the other without having to walk on the road. There are no designated sites for tents, and that means there are also no picnic tables or grills for tents (it looked like there were at least some grills and fire pits near the gravel parking pads for RVs). But, for $5 you can camp on the beach and Mike (the fellow who runs Zan’s) will help you get hooked up with kayaks or rafts to float the river. There are no showers. There’s a decent roadhouse just up the street for some eats.

Located on the east side of town by football stadium and baseball diamonds. Dog park on site. Electric hookups. Shelter area with picnic benches
We were just passing through and stayed for a night. We had sewer, water, and electric hookup. A nice dog park, and even found some 4 leaf clovers!
We overnighted here on the way to Hot Springs, AR. Convenient to Interstate 49, but virtually no traffic noise and none while inside the van. We arrived after the office had closed - there was a prominent note on the door as to which site to use. Electrical hookup was fine - we did not use water or cable. There were about a dozen other campers - most appeared to be long termers. The CG was VERY quiet - very peaceful. They have an off-leash dog park area which our dogs loved and used it 3-4 times the nite we were there. The bathrooms were toasty warm and VERY clean. Lavatory hot water got warm quickly, plenty of soap and towels. The office has various items for sale, from snacks to RV gear. Would not hesitate to stay again - in fact, may do so next week on our return trip.
We are new to RV’ing, so my experience is somewhat limited, but this was a very nice campground and I couldn’t imagine how it could get much better. Compared to the few other lakes we’ve stayed at, this campground it very nicely developed with electric and water hook ups in just the right spots, and a really nice area with a picnic table, bbq grill and nice ring with an additional cooking grate in each spot. The whole camp was very cleaned and maintained and the park ranger was very accessible. We had a great time. The only reason I don’t give it 5 stars is because there was fairly limited shore access in the campground we stayed in, which was Mound Valley North Loop. Otherwise it was perfect.
Edit 10.11.20:
I wanted to edit my prior review and add a star. We ended up going to Big Hill 3 times this year, and several other state parks and campgrounds, and Big Hill is our favorite. My original title was correct, a treasure in Kansas.
I just got here and set up. Its a partly cloudy day high 78 and moderate wind for Kansas. I have only put my screen shelter up so far. Your by the road and a business so you will here them till they close later in the evening and traffic going by. Yet beautiful lake and lots of things to do. Free for 2 days with hook ups. Showers and toilets. But only one shower to share so do that during the day while its not occupied is my advice. Yes RVers their is a dump station. 10 bucks a night if you stay longer. Im gonna pay just because.

Boats that are propelled by a motor of any kind or a sailboat must be numbered and registered with the state of Kansas or legally registered with another state.
The Cherryvale area present day is a farming/ranching rural area with Friday night football the big excitement. In the 19th century Kansas was a bloody place. Before the “Civil War” you would have different groups battling for control. After the civil war the pioneers began their westward journey through the many trails that crossed the plains. In 1870 a group of five families settled in western Labette County. Cherryvale had not been established. This group stands out because of one particular family. The Bender family, a normal– mother– father– son– daughter from Germany. John Bender, Sr., his wife Ma Bender, son John, Jr. and daughter Kate. Now I am not going to get involved in their story but I will touch on some of the highlights and let you know the story includes an inn, a store, a hammer, a trap door, lonely single male travelers, haunted property and the only place where a mass murder is celebrated by a state historical marker. Google the Bender family in Kansas and enjoy a bit of the old west

Except for the fact that the water level at this lake is extremely low, our family and friends enjoy the friendliness of this hideaway. On the federal side of Lake Wilson it has decent shower houses, group camping areas, and the staff is friendly and helpful. We use this area to camp 3-4 times a season and always book early make sure we have several spots during peak times. Down side for the unorganized is that it's a 20 minute drive for supply's as well as 20 minutes to get boat in water due to most boat ramps being closed.
We have stayed there about 6 times. Very quiet. Needs some renovations. Sites are not level and need either more gravel or concrete. Most of the sites are 30 amp and no dump station. Water and electric only.
Big rigs at some of the sites will have a problem. Renember this is a old campground. Fishing from the shore is great no boats. Adult children ( seniors) lol are there every day looking to catch dinner.
Wonderful, great to have a nice camping area with hook ups right out of town for those quick trips and to assist with that “get away feeling”. Nice little lake to fish in and good disc golf course.
Pros: it's a free concrete parking lot with hookups. Clean, a little grass for pets. Did I mention the first night is free if you register at the Casino and get a players card. Then check in at the store/gas station.
Con: No shuttle to the casino.
