Solid choice -- Near Mounds state park, city of Anderson, and I-69

I stayed with full hookups, but no cable (don't need it, so don't know if it's available) and we weren't close enough to connect to the WIFI (only close enough to occasionally see 1 bar pop up).

Friendly folks, catch and release fishing pond, and a pond with beach for swimming. Good size…

Great place to stay!

The park is clean and quiet. Staff is very nice and accommodating. Love the guy that brought me firewood, he just kept it coming. Would recommend this place to anyone!

Beautiful place, especially during the week

We really enjoyed our stay here. We arrived on Thursday on April 29th and the place was empty. Some of the sites are pretty close together, but we booked site 41 which is a double site. I'd highly recommend this site. It backs up to Sugar Creek which is just gorgeous in the spring. We saw all kinds…

  • View of site 43 (empty) and 41 (with truck and brown RV). 41 is a double site so u can park your vehicle there.
  • View of Sugar Creek from site 41 fire pit

Nothing there unless you fish which costs extra!

Lots of monthly campers and lots of trash. I picked up a trash bag full just behind my spot. When you check-in the list of rules makes it feel very unwelcoming. The "lakes" are more like ponds but you have to stay away so the anglers get the water. Not supposed to even walk around! You back in so…

What a fun place for kids!

This is just a really cute park to camp in, especially with kids. There is an abundance of activities to keep you and the little ones happy, especially around holidays. The amenities are great and the sites definitely large enough not to feel crowded.

A nice way to get out of the city.

Summit Lake is a very nice place to get away for a weekend from Indy but not so much a destination spot. Friendly staff and well maintained. Wooded spots that are water adjacent are beautiful. Since it’s a no wake lake, the noisiest thing is usually the geese

You can rent a small boat by the day…

Nice state park with several trails around a beautiful lake

We stayed before the peak season opened up.  Potable water was available at the entrance but was not on yet in the campground itself.   The sites are well spaced out with a few pull through sites and many back ins.

Our site was a pull through and, while level left to right, required a good bit…

A nice park. Electric only.

It’s a nice park for kids. Has a nice swimming pool. Easy trails. Nice playground. $5 firewood bundles. Mostly a weekender park. It is right next to a small craft airfield do it can get noisy at times and there is little wind protection.

I like it so far

Just joined.  Trying to find any city park or visitor centers permitting camping.  I know they are out there but not well known.  Easy to use.  Love the fact I can use it if offline.  I'll review in a few weeks when I actually need it.

Great Clean Safe Campground

My 7 and 6 year old daughters and I had a wonderful time here! Safe, interesting, and super fun in the water park! Everything was clean and in great shape. It’s in farmland/a hunting area, so the sounds of livestock and dogs were a bit loud at night. There is also no alcohol allowed and coolers…

Great quiet state forest.

Great forest for camping. Even with beautiful weather and the opening of squirrel season, it was relatively light with other campers. Water and bathrooms available. When you arrive set up at your site. Then you will need to go WITH EXACT CHANGE to the sign in at the main building. It’s easy, there…
