Best RV Parks & Resorts near Buck Creek, IN

Several RV parks near Buck Creek provide full hookup options for motorhome travelers. Prophetstown State Park Campground offers spacious sites with full hookups in the Spruce Loop and electric-only sites in Savanna Loop, accommodating big rigs with 50-amp service. "The sites are all pretty spacious, with a gravel pad for your camper," according to one visitor who noted the electric-only sites lack shade. Indiana Beach Campground features pull-through full hookup sites with cable TV, while White Oaks RV provides convenient lake access. Lost Acres RV Park accommodates both large rigs and standard motorhomes with water, electric, and sewer connections on level sites.

Seasonal availability varies significantly across these campgrounds, with some like Prophetstown operating year-round while others such as Tall Sycamore Campground operate from April to October. Cell service quality fluctuates between locations, with T-Mobile showing strong coverage at White River Campground but spotty reception elsewhere. Most parks welcome pets but enforce leash policies. Dump stations are available at all major RV parks, though some sites at Indiana Beach share electric pedestals between neighboring spots, potentially causing issues when both require the same amperage. Concrete pads at White River Campground provide excellent leveling, while several reviewers noted uneven terrain at other locations requiring stabilizing blocks.

    Mississinewa Lake Campground

    Good campgrounds for boating!

If you want woodsy, private sites, don’t come here. Most are grassy and sunny. There are many areas where the sites back up close to each other. 2 rows of full hookup. Plenty of 50 amp and many good tent sites. Beach in the park but not walking distance. Great mooring area for campers. Don’t try to pull-thru in any sites that are back-in. DNR will come around repeatedly and ask you to turn around...after you are already set up. Disc golf, trails, store near the beach, cabin rentals.

    Crawfordsville KOA

    Nice KOA

Shade, grass, and gravel sites. A lot better than most KOAs. They ask that you not put outdoor rugs on grass; no problem as grass is nice. Sites 1-10 are your best bet for Starlink if that’s what you have; best opening through tree canopy of the northern sky. Pet friendly; counted three cats and a dog in the office when I checked in. Was given the option of choosing my site out of the seven available for my reservation. A mix of long term residents and travelers; some of the long term resident sites were a little junky.

    Earl Park

    City park

This is a small town park. Sites all grass. Most are only 20 amp a few have 30 amp. No fire rings. Playground is huge. Sites have water, dump station on way out. $25 for campers $15 for tents. Honor system pay at Festival Office in center of park. Sites are first come first served. 30 amp sites in center fill up fast. 31ft toy hauler. AC ran fine off 20amp.

    White River Campground

    Quick getaway

Nice camp ground along the white river with several sites along the waterway. Clean, well maintained, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Paved road with level concrete sites, could be a little more spacious, but all n all laid out nicely with aluminum picnic tables, and fire ring, 50 and 30 amp hook ups along with H20, and several full hook ups. Tent camping also available. Well stocked camp store. The facilities up front by the office are very clean and have showers with hot water. They could use a bench in the shower stall for your clothing and a space To get dressed discreetly. The facility at the end of the campground dosent have showers and are adequate but not quite as nice. Campground is in a good location close to many amenities

    White River Campground

    Best campground ever!

I've traveled across the US and this is the best campground I've stayed in. First of all it's very clean which is surprising for Indiana. Back up to the river. Great views. Free hot showers! Quiet. Feels secluded though close to town. Good price too. Free wifi that worked so well we could both work online and stream TV! It does not get any better. Dog friendly. Nice playground for the kids. Fire circles and clean picnic tables at each site. If I lived here, I'd come here often. Great place. Walking and biking trails. Canoeing and kayaking. Historic bridge.

    Prophetstown State Park Campground

    Campground with lots to offer

This is a really nice campground with many shaded sites. We camped in a pull-through full hookup site that was very level. There is a 5-mile paved bike trail that runs through the park. The trail winds through a prairie to where the Wabash and Tippecanoe Rivers meet. Very pretty ride. The state park has a water park and a working farm.

    Turkey Run Canoe & Camping

    Close Quarters

The manager Tina and her husband are great people but the camp sites are to close together and we would not camp here again. The sites are difficult to get into and although they allow one car on the site there is barely room for that one car. The electric is shared with another site which could be a problem if you have the same type of service since there is only one 50 amp, one 30 amp, and one 20 amp service per hook up. There is portable water at the entrance but the road coming and going to the campsite is only wide enough for one rig and you will block traffic while you are filling up. The campsite is backed up to a major highway so it is loud by nature. We choose to enjoy our stay but will not be back. I hope this helps you!

    Old Mill Run Park

    Ready for more…

This was only the 2nd adventure out with our new travel trailer. So glad we chose Old Mill Run. Campground is very well maintained with a heated pool, mini golf, two stocked fishing ponds and more. We had a full hook-up, pull through site with plenty of room to the neighbor. Great T-Mobile 5G reception which we used to catch up on some TV shows while it rained a few hours. We’ve already booked our next visit.

    Turkey Run State Park Campground

    Terrific campground and state park

We stayed here this weekend and had a terrific time. The weather was very hot but there is a river to tube and canoe in to keep you cool. We stayed at site #35. It is in a very quiet, off the main road, in a circle, in full shade. It’s is very close to the restroom but a distance from the camp store and dumpster. The site was clean and well equipped with a fire ring and picnic table. The site is very uneven. It definitely sloops to the back corner. It’s was difficult to level our camper but we got it in the end. The site was huge but given the unevenness it would be difficult for tents. The campground is family friendly and was quiet at night. There is a lot to do at this state park. We hiked the #3 and #5 trails and it took us about 2 hours. It was very busy but everyone was very polite. It was a great stay all around.
