    Love's RV Stop-Demotte IN 394

    Clean and convienent

Great stop for the night, It's new, gated and has basic amenities like a General store, Dog park and basketball court and tennis ball court for some activities if you have kids. Plenty of space and Convenient. We reserved and checked in online. The only complaint I had is the site we were at showed a ground fault on the 50amp Circuit so I had to use the 30 amp circuit but it's Nov so no need to run dual ACs minor issue but still make sure your using your EPM devices.

    Norway Campground

    Great seasonal park

This park is under new ownership. They have gotten the pool repaired and open and have cleaned up much of the park with more to come. The creek flowing through makes it so cool and peaceful and the animal life is beautiful. Saw a huge crane in the creek today along with a whole duck family…the folks there are friendly. There’s a dog park, playground, bounce pad, basketball court, pavilion and a great big dam across the street where the fishing is great! Boats are welcome and the staff is great!

    Tippecanoe River State Park Campground

Clean, green and needs to be seen!

This campground is a great place for families and pets.

We camped in the electric part of the park. During our stay we enjoyed the hiking opportunities for us and our dogs.

There were children involved in bike riding and playing at the playground every day and activities like the park Challenge to explore the park in a guided way, looking for local animals and skeletal remains.

Yu can also fish, canoe, Kayak or tube on the Tippecanoe River.

The Comfort Buildings were well lit and clean. They were also well stocked.

There was a horse camp available as well as youth tenting and cabins to rent.

This is a great State Park with more things to offer in addition to the ones mentioned above. We will definitely be back.Check it out for yourself soon!

    Fabulous place for families!

This place was awesome! They have done a lot of updates since we camped there years ago! Great new pool and pool house, FUN petting zoo, gemstone mining for the kids, hayrides, as well as crafts and a scavenger hunt. The grand kids loved this place and ask constantly when they get to go back!

    Indiana Beach Campground

    Not easy to get to

Clean, quiet campground. No easy way to get there. Close to Indiana Beach amusement park. No major highways nearby, so the drive was kind of....strange. At one point we were on a gravel road. This used to be a Jellystone Park, so everything is laid out nice and spacious.

    Sand Creek Campground

Close alternative to Dunes State Park

First time to Indiana with a quick trip to the Dunes. We were disappointed the state park was full but found this campground close by. The tent sites were very private as we were the only ones there for the night. Plenty of space tucked among the trees. Bathrooms seemed newer and were very clean. The only thing that disappointed us was the lack of COVID precautions. No mask worn by the office worker or wiping down of desk or credit card machine. Would still recommend for the future.

Guide to Morocco

Willow Slough Fish & Wildlife Area offers primitive camping on sandy soil that drains well after rain, making it usable year-round despite Midwestern weather fluctuations. Approximately 30 minutes south of Morocco, Indiana, Willow Slough encompasses 9,000+ acres of wetlands, upland habitat, and a 1,200-acre lake where only electric motors are permitted. The area experiences hot summers with temperatures regularly exceeding 85°F and cold winters that can drop below 20°F, influencing camping conditions throughout the seasons.

What to do

Hunting opportunities: Access hunting grounds directly from your campsite at Willow Slough Fish & Wildlife Area, where the gun range is part of the attraction. "Nice place, some sites are not level so you have to pay attention... the gun range is awesome and good hunting spots as well," notes Scott B.

Lake activities: Bring kayaks for exploring the 1,200-acre lake at Willow Slough where motorized boats must use electric motors only. "We bring our kayaks. Staff has always been friendly, a sandy type soil so it drains well after rain," shares Adam M. The lake supports multiple fishing spots throughout the property.

Swimming and water recreation: Caboose Lake Campground provides water activities for families with children. "If you have kids or teens this is your spot. Super clean water and beach area with inflatables—so fun! They do require wristbands which cost $10 a day but that includes bumper boats and unlimited paddle boat rentals," reports Riley J.

What campers like

Affordable rates: Camping costs remain low at Willow Slough, making it budget-friendly. "At $12 a night it is hard to beat," explains Rick W., who appreciates the value when staying at Willow Slough Fish and Wildlife Area Campground. The campground maintains basic amenities without the premium costs of developed sites.

Quiet atmosphere: Weekday visits offer especially peaceful camping experiences. "Last minute stop for an overnight on the way to another sight... Otherwise, entirely peaceful and quiet. Only a few campers here on a weekday night. Affordable rates. Grateful for the night," describes Claire C. about her stay at Willow Slough.

Security features: Love's RV Stop provides secure overnight stays with modern conveniences. "It's new, gated and has basic amenities like a General store, Dog park and basketball court and tennis ball court for some activities if you have kids. Plenty of space and Convenient," according to Steven C. The security features make it particularly suitable for travelers with pets and equipment.

What you should know

Limited facilities: Willow Slough lacks many modern conveniences. "No hook ups but they do have a dump station. Use to have a shower house but it was closed when we were there," reports Debbie B. The bathrooms are clean but basic, and visitors should come prepared with their own power sources.

Water quality concerns: Bring your own drinking water when camping at Willow Slough. "Do remember to bring power source for you phone such as a power bank and water to drink, the water there taste funny," warns Xiaojian J., who otherwise loves the location for fishing.

Site spacing: Campgrounds become crowded during peak times at Oak Lake RV Resort, affecting the camping experience. "Nice big sites, easy to get in and out. Sites are not marked very well though. Swimming lake is nice," notes Tammi L. During busy weekends, sites throughout the region fill quickly, limiting privacy.

Tips for camping with families

Family-friendly activities: Oak Lake RV Resort provides dedicated amenities for children. "Pulled in as the sun was coming down after a looong day of driving. Our site was right next to the playground and my kids had a blast swinging, climbing, and jumping while we set up camp," shares Sadie H.

Water fun options: Water activities keep families entertained during hot summer months. "We love Caboose! If you have kids or teens this is your spot. Super clean water and beach area with inflatables—so fun!" explains Riley J. The additional water amenities provide relief during humid Indiana summers.

Budget accommodations: Pioneer Family Campground offers affordable sites for families on a budget. "We tent camped with 8 small kiddos. One of the largest tent sites I've been on. There is a small playground, and a pond for swimming and fishing," Amanda K. reports, while noting some facility limitations.

Tips from RVers

Site selection: Pay attention to leveling needs when selecting sites at Willow Slough. "Nice place, some sites are not level so you have to pay attention. It's $12 a nite and it's all primitive so you can have a generator," advises Scott B. The uneven terrain can require additional setup time for larger rigs.

Generator considerations: Noise levels vary at primitive sites where generators are common. "Generators are allowed, so there was a hum of one running all night but it was no bother at all," Claire C. mentions about her overnight stay. For pet-friendly camping near Morocco, Indiana, this factor affects comfort for animals sensitive to noise.

Hookup options: RVers seeking full hookups should consider Oak Lake RV Resort instead of primitive options. "Staff was extremely helpful as this was our first trip with the new camper. Was very quiet. Clean shower and bathroom," says Preston H. The staff assistance helps first-time RVers navigate setup procedures.
