Several RV parks near Gooding, Idaho provide varying accommodations for motorhome travelers. Hagerman RV Village offers full hookup RV sites with 50-amp electric, water, and sewer connections, operating year-round with spacious pull-through spots suitable for larger rigs. Wilson's RV Park in Wendell contains 25 sites available from March through mid-November, featuring both 30 and 50-amp electric hookups. "The sites are well kept and level. Cell service quality varies throughout the area, with stronger signals near the towns of Hagerman and Wendell. One review mentioned "a constant smell of a combination of septic and farm compost" at Wilson's RV Park, highlighting potential seasonal issues. Most locations accommodate pets with designated walking areas, though specific restrictions may apply. Trinity View Resort

Highly Recommended!! Clean, Quiet with Amazing Views

CHECK OUT THIS VIDEO FOR DISCOUNT CODE

    https://youtu.be/rZl1wN8JlRI

This is our second stay here since new ownership. First trip was June 2022 and October 2922.  Both trips we had an awesome time. Just in a few months this place has made some very nice improvements and still has amazing views surrounding the camp ground. After staying a few places in the area over this past summer, Trinity View Resort for us is our top pic and will be spending a lot more time here in the future. Both trips we had our E-Bikes and took some amazing rides through the valleys and mountains and still haven't explored all the areas available here.

Cell service is good here. We have Verizon hot spot that worked perfectly and AT&T cell phones have good signal as well,

There are different options for all kinds of campers from, Full hook ups ( Big rig friendly) to tent camping. On site RV rentals and cabins are also available.

Lots of fun stuff to do here for the whole family or even groups.

The people here are friendly and respectful to other campers as well as super friendly staff and owners. Very friendly to work with and communication with changes if need depending availability.

This resort is well on its way to be one of the best camp resorts in this area. Well worth the trip for sure.

Banbury Hot Springs Campground - Temporarily Closed

    Relaxing

Midweek RV stay in April was quiet and relaxing. Not all stalls are RV friendly, my friend had to move due to her trailer would not level. Park hosts extremely nice to work with. Dog friendly park. Pool is older but the water was toasty warm to soak in especially in cold weather. Changing room was clean. I will be back as I noticed there is a dock to go kayaking.

    Rock Creek RV Park

Love this park! First come, first served

OVERVIEW: The RV park is part of the county park- beautiful walking/bike path with the creek flowing through. Our back in site was nearby our neighbors, but felt spacious because it's an end site directly across from the camp host. Easy to navigate the concreted roads and the space was easy to back in to.

Hard to beat $20 for W&E hookups. It's a quiet campground. Trashcans all around the park conveniently. The area as you drive up seems a bit run down, but as soon as you get into the park, it's great.

There is a free public dump station 1 mile away in town since there is not a dump station on site.

The park has unisex toilets around the grounds that are vault toilets so nothing fancy. Picnic tables, lots of green space around and the trail goes for at least 2 miles round trip.

CELL SERVICE: We work remote- We used out AT&T hotspot and had an awesome connection. Reliable for video calls all week. Gradely harshly, giving 4 out 5, only because they don't have wifi and also ideally would have been nice to have sanitizer(especially this year) in the bathrooms. Everything was was lovely.

GUEST SERVICES: Camphost was super friendly. We came in around 8:30pm on a Monday night with fingers crossed we would find a spot.. and we did with no problem. If it looks full as you enter, keep going past the camphost and you will find the pull thru options. The camp host came over on his gator and shined his lights to help us as we set up. He was very kind.

NEARBY: Close to downtown Twin Falls with some cute coffee shops and breweries. Also about 50 mins away there is a place called Mammoth Cave that might be the most interesting cave experience you ever experience. I highly encourage it.

Snake River Canyons Park - Rickett's RV Camp

Nice location but no Shelter From the elements whatsoever

Just a few miles outside of Twin Falls and somewhat near the river supposedly, there are several designated back in and a couple of pull-through campsites with picnic tables and fire pits and two Vault toilets as well as well as garbage receptacles. Seems very safe and clean and sites are clearly numbered. No fee but guessing it fills up quickly on weekends. Lots of hiking and much to do in the area and a great place to lay over for a night or a few.

    Twin Falls 93 RV Park

    Clean, friendly, safe, level

Stayed one night in early September with a 25 foot Class C.  The campground is easy to find.  There are several long-term residents and the overall vibe was friendly.  Called and got a same-day spot.  Full hook-up and W/E only sites are available.  Wireless internet is available throughout the park.  The site (51) was level and the electrical post and water spot looked new.  Quiet at night.  There are shower and laundry facilities available.  Pleasant place to spend the night.

Three Island Crossing State Park Campground

Nice campground near the river with several things to keep you busy.

We really liked this campground! First, the sites are nicely paved and level, and have full hookups which make an extended stay really nice. There is a picnic table and fire ring for having an enjoyable outdoor experience. there is a huge grass open area adjacent to the site which is nice for outdoor sports.

There is a hiking trail at the edge of the campground which takes you to a nearby winery for a flight of wine and some good food. Very nice for the adults! There is also a path that takes you to a park down at the river which is nice for the kids, and our boys loved the disc golf course. It is huge with 18 holes, but the front 9 are the best, as the back nine have a lot of cheat grass and bushes to lose your disc in.

Nearby there is also a museum about the Oregon trail and how the Three Island Crossing area was used by the settlers... Very interesting place!

Overall we had a great Memorial Day long Weekend.

    Twin Falls County Fairgrounds

Cheap, cheap and cheap. Did I mention cheap?

Because we'd usually rather be boondocking, we're all about cheap when we actually have to pay for a campsite. And if we're actually going to have to pay, we want the whole shebang -- 50A electric, water and sewer hookups -- because why pay for what we otherwise get for free? The Twin Falls County Fairgrounds delivers on both counts.

The RV Park is located on the east side of the fairgrounds and has 80 spaces with full hook-ups (water, sewer & 50 amp power); and 100 hook-up with (water & 30 amp power). Spaces with amenities cost $21.20, tax included per night, or $106 for a week (buy 5 nights/get 2 free). Dry camping with no amenities is available for $10.60, tax included per night. Maximum stay is 2 weeks. No reservations, everything is first-come, first-served.

Sites are located on grass, with dirt roads throughout the campground. Hookups for water, electric and sewer are located behind your RV. While the site itself is level, that makes it uphill for the sewer run so we wish that they had chosen a more traditional layout. Still, for this price I'm not complaining. Also, if the place actually filled up these sites would be crazy tight; however, during our visit July 2021 they're not even close to 50% capacity, so folks are leaving at least one site between themselves and their neighbors.

Cell signal strength and data speeds are solid on both Verizon and AT&T. We've been both working and streaming with no issues whatsoever.

There's a separate dump station on site with potable water. The bathrooms are individual units with showers, and are immaculate. If you arrive after hours you have to call the after-hours number on the sign, and James will come out and determine your site and collect your money (cash or check only). The campground occasionally closes for events held at the Fairgrounds, and in 2021 that's for two events. Check their website for details. There was a lot of activity during our stay including equestrian events and even a monster truck rally, so there's lots to keep you entertained while you're in the campground and not out exploring the Twin Falls area.

Filer is a tiny ranching community just west of Twin Falls. Campers will find the surprisingly complete M&W Market just down the street, along with a True Value Hardware. And all of the chains and big box stores are nearby in Twin Falls, only 7 miles away.

No livestock are allowed in RV area, but boarding is available in stables adjacent to the campground for $10 inside/$5 outside. Dogs are not allowed to roam freely and must be under supervision of their owner, either on a leash or kennel.

So when everything else was booked solid in July 2021, we found dirt cheap FHU sites aplenty at the Twin Falls County Fairgrounds!

    Twin Falls-Jerome KOA

    Quiet but close quarters

Road noise is minimal depending on where you are in the RV park. Love the amenities for everyone (playground, dog parks, pool, mini golf, etc). Full hook ups available. $45 w/KOA membership (10% off), pull-through, full hook-ups. Would stay again. Very friendly and helpful family who run it. Only downside is shared pull-throughs: Literally looking in the window of our neighbors on driver’s side. There are cabins here.

Guide to Gooding

Camping options near Gooding, Idaho provide access to the scenic Snake River Basin, where summer temperatures typically range from 85-95°F during July and August. Sites in this region sit at elevations between 3,500-4,000 feet, creating distinct seasonal camping patterns with most campgrounds open from March through November. Winter camping options remain limited due to freezing temperatures and occasional snow in the region.

What to do

Fossil hunting excursions: The Hagerman RV Village puts you within easy reach of the Hagerman Fossil Beds National Monument. "We spent our time around the picnic table, despite 98°temps. Hiked Box Canyon and swam, visited the Fossil Bed NM, and drove to Twin Falls for more swimming," notes one camper who found multiple activities despite summer heat.

Creek fishing access: Rock Creek RV Park offers fishing opportunities right in the park. "There are two playgrounds, multiple shelters, a handicapped accessible fishing pier, and biking/walking path," reports a visitor who appreciated the accessible options. The park's location places you near multiple water-based activities.

Wine tasting: Carmela RV Park at Y Knot Winery combines camping with vineyard views and wine sampling. "We walked over for wine tasting and calamari on the patio. Very pleasant," shares one visitor who enjoyed the unique combination of camping and culinary experiences. The adjacent golf course provides additional recreation options.

What campers like

Natural water features: Campers at Snake River Canyons Park appreciate the free access to river recreation areas. "Just a few miles outside of Twin Falls and somewhat near the river supposedly, there are several designated back in and a couple of pull-through campsites with picnic tables and fire pits," notes one visitor who found the amenities exceeded expectations for a no-fee location.

Walkable attractions: The proximity to local points of interest makes many Gooding area campgrounds convenient bases. "The Three Island Crossing State Park is an easy 10 minute walk down the road through the vineyards, which was a nice stroll," reports a camper who stayed at Carmela RV Park. Many campsites provide convenient access to attractions without needing to drive.

Quieter alternatives: Smaller RV parks in the region offer peaceful alternatives to larger facilities. At Mendoza Ranchette, campers note the tranquility: "This is a lovely campsite! And love the quiet! We found the location super easy to get to, and most accommodating to our needs. If you want a change up from the large RV parks, this is your opportunity!"

What you should know

Seasonal water issues: During peak summer months, irrigation practices affect water availability and odors. "There is a constant smell of a combination of septic and farm compost," reports a camper at Wilson's RV Park, highlighting how agricultural activities can impact camping experiences in this farming region.

Limited dump stations: Not all RV parks near Gooding provide on-site dump facilities. At Rock Creek RV Park, "There is a free public dump station 1 mile away in town since there is not a dump station on site," notes a camper who planned accordingly. Always verify dump station locations before arrival.

Site layout quirks: Some campgrounds have unusual hookup arrangements that require planning. "RV sites are set up strangely but they were very nice about letting us park on the grass to reach the sewer, water and electric," mentions one visitor about the arrangements at Carmela RV Park, indicating flexibility may be needed when positioning your rig.

Tips for camping with families

Animal interaction opportunities: Kids particularly enjoy the animal encounters available at High Adventure River Tours RV Park. One family who stayed at Mendoza Ranchette shared, "Our kids loved the horses and puppies. The hosts were friendly and had great recommendations for the area!" These animal interactions create memorable experiences beyond typical camping activities.

Seasonal fruit picking: When timing your visit, consider the harvest schedule. "Time your visit for July-October so you can pick some fresh fruit!" advises a reviewer about Mendoza Ranchette. This agricultural region offers hands-on activities that appeal to children during certain months.

Playground access: Multiple rv parks Gooding, Idaho area offer playground facilities that provide entertainment for children. Rock Creek RV Park includes "two playgrounds, multiple shelters," making it suitable for families who need recreational options within the camping facility.

Tips from RVers

Level site selection: When booking at rv campgrounds near Gooding, Idaho, verify site levelness ahead of time. A camper at Rock Creek RV Park cautions, "Some spots are not very level. There are large rigs here," suggesting careful site selection, especially for longer motorhomes.

Water pressure management: Bring a pressure regulator for certain campgrounds. At Carmela RV Park, "Their water pressure is high so you will need a reducer," advises an experienced RVer who noted this important detail.

Low-cost overnight alternatives: For budget-conscious travelers passing through the Gooding area, Love's RV Hookup provides economical full-service options. "Probably one of the best RV spots we've parked at nice large, wide, full hook ups, reasonably priced," notes a recent visitor who found it exceeded expectations for a travel center campground.
