Best Dog-Friendly Camping near Woodland, GA

Great little spot.  The Owners are very nice and friendly.  Great dog park and boat ramp.  Wifi is exceptional.  Lots of land to roam around on.

This is a very well-kept campground. There is no bath house or laundry on premises but there is a very nice dog park. It is mostly gravel with one or two streets being sand and all the sites are back in except one which we thought we were going to get but I guess someone called before we did and got it. Our site was level and we were able to set up quickly with the help of Mike the office manager. There is nothing for kids to do here so be advised the gravel becomes a toy! It was great for a night stay. Right off the interstate with lots of stores nearby including Walmart and Camping world.

Nice roomy sites with plenty of space between. Picnic tables, grills and fire rings at each campsite. Bathrooms aren’t bad. Friendly caretakers. Pets allowed. Playground and beaches. Fish cleaning station. Boat ramp. Dump station.

Campground was easy to find. It went south once we entered the campground. There is no signage to tell you anything. The manager who was very sweet had told me she would send me information but I didn’t receive anything. She got confused on the dates and was very apologetic. We drove all over the area looking for the office. There was a trailer that had a shower in one end and laundry in the other and a door marked private which “May” have been the office but we’ll never know. We have a 42’ 5th wheel and dragging this thing behind us around the campground was quite the adventure. Nobody seemed to know where the office was….we ended up at a dead end that was like a culdesac and someone parked their SUV on the curve instead of in their drive and it took us a while to spin the monster around. We could have sold tickets as we had an audience. Dinner and a movie I guess!! Finally got headed in the right direction and a guy in a pick up stopped and took us to his leader. We used actually 2 sites to park. It was full service, pretty quiet, lots of full time people. Not much grass, mostly sand and tree roots where we were parked. Nice sized dog park. Internet was poor. They have 2 different Wi-Fi’s to use neither of them were good. Our hotspot didn’t work well either- seems to be a dead area. I have AT&T cell service and had service at the camper but not while trolling through the park so I could call the office of course.

One of my favorite places! Campground 2 is the first to fill up! Safe and fun! Huge sites with wonderful scenery.  Clean bathhouses! Laundry on site. Friendly staff. Great for kids & pets! No full hook up yet. Cell signal spotty depending on site.

This campground was quiet and tranquil. Large oaks and mature trees. Camping paradise. Immaculate grounds and facilities. Water, electric and gray water dumps at each site. Washers and dryers. Gravel sites, but it’s a place I hate to leave. Pet friendly and great staff.  Nice playground and horseshoes area as well!

However you want to camp you can. Tent, RV, you name it. With lake access on virtually every spot you’ll wake up to amazing views and great days in the sun. Almost every spot has a walkable path to the water. It’s pet friendly and has amenities for even the least experienced (and least willing) campers.

This is the site of a lesser known confederate civil war prison. There was some archeological work going on when we were there. The spring is very pretty, with turtles and fish swimming under the bridges of the walkway, and there were lots of alligators along the stream. We let our dogs swim in the lake before we realized the gators were probably there as well. There is an aquarium for Georgia fish at the park. The campground is in tall pine trees with shade, but not much privacy. Most are level. Water and electric sites and a dump station.

Great place for kids and dogs. Most camp spots have a great distance between them for dogs to have space. Also a great place for boaters. We pull out boat right up to the camp spot. We have a truck camper a 3500 ram and our boat trailer on the site with room for two more cars if needed. The bathrooms were nice and clean as well.

Our week long trip was cut short when staff decided to call law enforcement instead of us when our (non aggressive) dog accidentally got loose. After being there for 3 days they then tell us our bully breed dogs are not allowed and we had to leave with no refund for our last night. Also pretty sure our camp neighbors stay up smoking meth all night. So meth is allowed but pit bulls are not. Severely disappointed with how we were treated. Will not be back

Veryn good area to walk in and camp, hike in and camp or even drive in!! I've done both hike in and walk in. Had my dog with me both times also. It won't let me post a pic though.

This was our first stay, but not our last. This small campground is spacious, clean, quiet, with a little hiking thrown in. It was a relaxing stay for us and the dogs loved it. We will be back.

This is the perfect park if you want to take your boat along! Lots of space to dock your boat at a waterfront site. Very nice bath houses, clean and updated. Large sites and large open yard behind it, great for dogs to run and kids to play!

The staff was very polite and patient with as busy as it’s been with The Masters” in town. Facilities by our campsite very clean and the views of the Savannah River are spectacular. Lots of cool things to do at this park. Very kid and dog friendly!! So great place for families.

This site was absolutely perfect for our first trip out in our new camper. Our dog also loved the water! Bathrooms and showers are clean and easily accessible. Several fishing spots and places to launch kayaks and three boat ramps. Sites are clean and well maintained. The fishing is AMAZING! 20 palm sized shell cracker on the first day!

Stayed here as one of the very first campsites after buying our camper. Lakeside lot with incredible space. Dog friendly and they enjoyed being able to go for a swim right outside of the camper. Enjoyed taking our paddle boards out in the morning for a sunrise paddle, then swimming the afternoons away in the sun. Can’t wait to come back next summer!!

Everything was great about our site, except the ants!! We were overrun with ants getting into our camper, eating the dog food, and anywhere they could fit their little bodies! The site was private, we had beach access to the lake, and the loops are paved which is great for bicycles.

Staff was superb with a last minute booking. We arrived after closing but they saw us coming in and checked that we were good. That was SO nice when coming in the dark and dog tired. Sites are large, well spaced and on the lake. Wi-Fi not bad, campground less than 10 minutes off interstate yet super quiet, no road noise. I’d post pictures but every time I try I get kicked out and half to start over.

We stayed here for 6 months and hated to leave. The manager Morgan was so kind and attentive to everyone's needs. There was plenty of room to run for the dogs. Our 50 Amp site was level and spacious. Laundry machines on site and private showers! The bathhouse was very clean! Gravel/dirt pad and roads all well maintained. Wifi was excellent and we could stream Netflix and Hulu. Great Verizon cell service. Wonderful gem of an RV park! The location was quiet and beautiful, surrounded by woods and fields.

What's a great place to stay!!! Beautiful colors for the fall, waterfront campsites, water and electric hook ups and back-in AND pull-through spots available. The bathrooms with shower stalls have AC and heat no matter the time of year you go. Trails to hike, dog friendly, canoes and kayaks for rent and close enough to a town to drive in to if you tire of campfire meals and want a really good margarita or need a grocery store to grab anything you may have left behind.
