GuideThis was a good overnight site. Typical KOA pull through where you are close to your neighbor. They have a small dog park which is a bonus. Staff was friendly and helpful.
ScoutWe should have known when we first arrived not to stay here. Our welcome was very brisk and unfriendly. Our site was literally right next to the freeway with terrible freeway noise and fuel smells. We asked to be moved and our new site was so narrow that the picnic tables didn’t even fit in the site and tottered on the edge of the site’s bank. They offer site garbage pick up daily, but not to monthly stays. So they drive right by your site while picking up garbage to sites right next to you! Playground is satisfactory but the dog park is muddy and rocky. When we signed in and mentioned we were excited about having a dog park the check in person said she wouldn’t take her dog to it! I highly recommend driving right on by! We use KOA’s regularly and this campground management is far below KOA standards! Beware!
Scout925 per month regardless of class size. 400 dollar security deposit plus a 50 dollar pet rent every month. Apartments charge less for security deposits+ pet rent (especially this high!) is something I’ve yet to hear of for an RV park. For a small 30 amp camper van, it’s just not justifiable to pay the same price as a big rig.

ScoutWe are at spot 97 and was suppose to get 44. The host at the front office gave us a different spot that would be easier access to our 40ft 5th wheel. The view is fantastic. We brought 2 dogs which they enjoyed the scenery. They are firm on making sure pet owners have their leash on and do not free roam. A lot of deer just walking around. Bathrooms are in good shape. We plan on staying a week. No Wi-Fi so we are using hotspots on our cells. We have Verizon and showing 2 bar LTE.
GuideAwesome grounds in a family and pet friendly atmosphere. Neighbors were kind and helpful. Very quiet and peaceful time. Walking the grounds was nice and hilly. There’s also trails in between areas and around the campground. If you like the water, bring your trunks, kayaks, and poles.
GuideFort Yargo is in the Winder Ga area and is close to Helen, Jefferson, Athens and Atlanta. Entering the campground is a nice paved road and leads to tent camping, cabins, yurts and RV sites.
Very clean park and has Historical area, playground, tennis court, bike and hike trails. Not to mention beach and boating area.
Picnics, camping, boating biking and camping or just day use areas. Pet friendly and all around great park.
There is a small general store, but you are so close to everything if you need it, it's there.
Gread for the Georgia Bulldog crowd as its less then 30 minutes!
