Established by Congress in 1917 as a park to conserve Dall sheep from hunting, Denali is home to all sorts of wild animals, such as wolves, bears, moose and reindeer. The park has six campgrounds but keep in mind there is no National Park Service-run lodging. But tent and RV camping are welcome.  


If fishing is part of your camping experience, then the Russian River is the perfect place for you. Rated the most popular sockeye salmon stream in Alaska and one of the top-rated spots for rainbow trout, the Russian River is located on the Eastern Kenai Peninsula in the Chugach National Forest, which spans more than five million acres of raging rivers, mountains and beautiful terrain.


More than 100,000 people visit the Russian River area annually and enjoy activities such as hiking the Russian Lakes Trail, visiting the K’beq Interpretive Site—where tribe members guide visitors through interpretive walks showcasing archaeological sites, stories and culture—along with biking and boating. The campground has 83 campsites and is open from May through September.

We are a brand new RV Park, Campground and as such we are adding amenities as we grow. We are right on the Cook Inlet with gorgeous mountain views directly across the water! All the sites have full 30 amp or 50 amp electric hookups, septic hookups and water. Sites are back in only. We prefer RV's under 30' due to our limited back in space of 50' Total.

We are situated right on the Cook Inlet and Goose bay so if you have a canoes or kayaks come play in the water in our salt water pond or 2 minutes away at the public accessible Knik Lake park. The Susitna River is 20 minutes south with great canoeing and fishing. Fish creek is 5 minutes and there are literally a dozen riv ers to fish within an hours drive in almost any direction.

Recently finished Cabin with 750 Square Feet. Property is on a private lake with Swans, Loons, Cranes, Arctic Terns, ducks, eagles, owls. Except for the owls all the birds are migratory. We have moose wander through the property. This lot is 10 acres and besides the Bunkhouse is the Owner's home and a detached garage. The property is in a forest with lots of privacy.

We also own the property across the street where we have a barn and 7 Icelandic Horses.

World famous Talkeetna is a short 30 minute drive. It is a well know tourist area for outdoor sports, zip lining, jet boat rides, fishing, biking, hiking, kayaking and more. Talkeetna is the only stepping off point for travelers attempting the Mt Denali climb. See people from around the world. Enjoy its shops, restaurants, outdoor concerts and breweries. Willow is a small community known for its friendly residents, fishing, hunting and sled dog mushers. Great scenic views of Mt Denali. Sheep Creek lodge is a few miles down the borough maintained road. Cubbys convenience store is located 10 miles up the highway.

Kepler Park is located on E. Kepler Drive, at Mile 37.4 of the Glenn Highway, about 1.5 miles east of the Parks & Glenn Hwy. interchange.

Our campground is located at Mile 37.4 of the Glenn Highway, about 1.5 miles east of the Parks & Glenn Hwy interchange.

Being situated on two lakes, Kepler and Bradley, you will find a serene setting for camping, picnicking,  boating and excellent trout fishing. The lakes are stocked annually by the State of Alaska Department of Fish & Game.  For those interested in hiking, we provide walk-in access only to the Matanuska Greenbelt Trail System.

Come visit for the day or camp overnight and enjoy a great time of recreation and relaxation. Centrally located in the Matanuska Valley, Kepler Park allows you to experience the "great outdoors" but is also just a short distance from other attractions and conveniences.

While staying with us as your base camp, you can visit the Musk Ox Farm, or the Reindeer Farm, and then drive to other popular sights such as beautiful Hatcher Pass and the view at Independence Mine or visit the Matanuska Glacier.

Take a tour of the valley to see the famous vegetable farms, hay fields, and the University of Alaska Experimental Farm. The ten day long Alaska State Fair, which begins in late August and ends on Labor Day, is only three miles from Kepler Park.

For your shopping needs, you can drive just a short distance to either Palmer or Wasilla.

We offer a family friendly atmosphere with a noise curfew and no alcohol or drugs are allowed on the premises. We ask that everyone respect our private property.

We will be selling soda, chips, snacks, fishing supplies, bait and tackle. Please bring your own fishing pole!
