Pataha Creek RV Campground and Blue Mountain RV Park provide full hookup sites for RVs in Pomeroy, Washington. Both parks operate year-round with electric, water, and sewer connections. Pataha Creek features level, paved sites that accommodate larger motorhomes with 50-amp service. "Nothing fancy, too new for large shade trees but well maintained and clean. Quiet area. Nice clean shower and restrooms," noted one visitor about Pataha Creek. Tucannon River RV Park, located approximately 30 miles west in Dayton, offers spacious pull-through sites with full hookups and can accommodate big rigs. Premier RV Resort at Granite Lake in Clarkston provides waterfront sites with concrete pads and 50-amp service for larger motorhomes.

The region's RV parks vary significantly in amenities and pricing. Tucannon River RV Park charges $18 with Passport America discount for full hookup sites, while some parks closer to Walla Walla command $75 nightly. Cell service can be unreliable in rural areas, particularly along the Tucannon River corridor where reception is virtually nonexistent. Most parks welcome pets, though specific restrictions may apply. Propane fill service is available at Tucannon River RV Park for $3.50 per gallon. When traveling between parks, RV drivers should note that roads connecting Tucannon Road to Highway 12 eastbound are unsuitable for large rigs, requiring westbound travel to Highway 12 then eastbound via Delaney. During summer months, temperatures frequently exceed 90°F, making parks with shade trees particularly desirable.

      Tucannon River RV Park

      Peaceful

Beautifully maintained campground with friendly camp hosts. Affordable, large pull through sites. Large shade trees in several sites. Some of the most level sites we’ve stayed in. Community fire pit or bring your own to have in your site. Nice bathrooms with showers ($1 in quarters for 7 minutes). Plenty of grass area for kids to play in. Pets welcome. Close to Tucannon and Snake Rivers. Open year round.

      RV Resort Four Seasons

      Lots of hookups

This site was right next to Fort Walla Walla, with a park and dog park. Not much else here but weird animal statues and long-term RVers. Lots of hookups for RV and trailers. No tent or car camping. The bathrooms were still closed June 2021, need to use your own hookups.

      Hells Canyon Resort

      Right on the river

Campground right on the river and surrounded by businesses but no noise issues.

Pull through site was paved and level. You do need a water pressure regulator. Office does suggest the route to take for easier pull in. Some of the long term campers have multiple cars and large add-ons, so was tricky getting out.

Showers were nice and plenty of room. Sign on indoor pool stated it was closed.

Check in was easy, they do offer food items for sale but the beverage coolers were pretty sparse.

Premier RV Resort at Granite Lake

      Nice Weekend Stay

Very friendly staff that keeps the facilities clean. Full hookups with lots of pull through spaces if needed. We fully utilized the bike path along the river each day for nice long rides into Idaho and back to Washington. Would stay again.

Premier RV Resort at Granite Lake

Quiet, Clean, well maintained RV Campground

This is an all paved rv campground on the Snake River and bordering Lewiston, ID. It has all the amenities of the Premier RV Resort affiliation. It has all the hook-ups and all sites are well manicured. A lot of the sites have longer term rv's from seasonal workers and such, it is not like a long term trailer park though. The management works to make sure your needs are taken care of. There is a paved walking trail alongside the park that follows the river with pet statiions located at intervals and is maitained by the municipality. There are Snake river boat tours nearby and plenty of shopping close and throughout the community. Fishing is a big activity on the rivers.

      McKay's Bend Recreation Site

So good you’ll want to stay longer

DIRECTIONS: 18 miles east of Lewiston, Idaho at mile post 18.6 on U.S. Highway 12

Flat, quiet, clean, and cheap. 15 RV sites and 3 tent sites. Full hookup, clean and large shower rooms and restrooms.

Camp hosts are great caretakers and quick to greet new guests.

Plenty of trees for shade, easy drivable path down to the river, nice local neighborhood to stroll through. BBQ stands at each site and two large community fire pits. Paved site for RV (any size), concrete pad with table. 2 bars cell signal.

Check the pics for accepted passes that drop the prices by 1/2.

At 18 dollars I was skeptical before l arrived. Getting everything for 9 dollars is unbelievable but true.

      Fields Spring State Park Campground

      Small, quiet state park

We dreaded dealing with crowds over the 4th of July weekend and back in March, this was one of the few state parks where I could get reservations in this area. Keep in mind that "this area" is about 40 minutes from Clarkston, the nearest town so make sure you stock up and don't count on cell service (except for the top of Puffer Butte!) The campground is small - only 20 sites but even on July 3, there were still a handful of empty sites. It was very quiet. Some sites are pull through and some are larger than others (mostly the ones on the outside of the loop) Site 16 was large and could accommodate several vehicles and tents. One restroom that was very clean with my three necessities: soap, hand dryers, and garbage. Coin-operated shower but make sure you have quarters because there is not always a staff person to give you change. Firewood is on the honor system at $5 per bundle. There is an actual spring that the park is named for but it was still turned off (didn't know you could turn a spring on/off?) There are teepees, cabins, and shelters and it appears to be a popular place in the winter for cross country skiing and tubing. The 2+ mile roundtrip hike to the Puffer Butte is a must as the three state view (WA, ID, OR) is sweeping and gorgeous. Other than that, we enjoyed a quiet two nights at this state park

      Winchester Lake State Park Campground

      Great Park, Great Fishing

We pulled our 40ft RV up here and had a great time! Not full hookups but lots of fishing we caught: blue gill, trout, bass, crappie, perch, cat fish and had a small Tiger Muskie on the line but lost it. We were there for two weeks and they did have electricity and water hookups just no dump so we showered and used the bathroom facilities which were very well kept! So we didn’t mind. There is a dump station just in town at the gas station there. Overall great experience and nice to be off the grid for a bit!

Premier RV Resort at Granite Lake

Clean, well-run RV place in a small city

This “RV resort” is within the city of Clarkston and a stone’s throw from a Costco, a WalMart and an Albertson’s. It’s highly manicured and very clean. Staff members are on top of every little thing, friendly and respectful. The waterfront sites overlook Granite Lake, a reservoir on the Snake River. There’s not a whole heck of a lot to do in Clarkston and environs, but it’s a super friendly city and the RV resort is pretty pleasant, featuring a dog park, lots of well-tended lawns, shared propane fire pits and grills and sparkling restrooms.

    Guide to Pomeroy

The Pomeroy area sits in Washington's southeastern region, within the Columbia Plateau at approximately 1,800 feet elevation. Summer temperatures regularly reach 85-90°F, with limited shade at many RV sites near Pomeroy, Washington. During winter months, the region experiences freezing temperatures with occasional snow, affecting campground accessibility.

    What to do

Biking trails access: Premier RV Resort at Granite Lake in Clarkston offers direct access to riverfront biking paths. "We fully utilized the bike path along the river each day for nice long rides into Idaho and back to Washington," notes Brad, who appreciates the trail connectivity.

Fishing opportunities: The Snake River provides excellent fishing spots near many camping areas. "Fishing is a big activity on the rivers," explains Dean R. about Premier RV Resort at Granite Lake, where waterfront sites provide convenient access.

Winery tours: Use Walla Walla RV parks as a base for exploring the region's wine country. "Walking distance to downtown wineries and restaurants," reports mary F. about Blue Valley RV Park, which offers a strategic location for wine enthusiasts despite its industrial setting.

    What campers like

Spacious pull-through sites: Tucannon River RV Park features generous spacing between sites. "Finally a park where you have a little space between RVs. Full RV hook-up and internet for $35 per night," writes Eric H. about the Tucannon River RV Park layout.

Clean facilities: Campground maintenance earns high marks from travelers. "The shower (there's only one) was nice and clean, 4 quarters for 7 minutes," notes Laura M. about Tucannon River RV Park, highlighting the well-maintained facilities despite limited shower options.

Quiet atmosphere: Many visitors appreciate the peaceful setting of smaller parks. "Very quiet spot to use as a base to visit The Falls and other attractions in the area," says Andrew A., who values the tranquility at Tucannon River RV Park while exploring regional attractions.

    What you should know

Cell service limitations: Connectivity varies dramatically throughout the region. "There is zero cell reception here but the wifi was decent, it reached our spot in the back, though it did shut down for a few hours in the night," reports Laura M. about Tucannon River RV Park.

Reservation requirements: Some parks fill quickly during peak season. "I called from 40 miles out on a Friday night on the 22nd of August. High summer season. They were nearly full. They held a spot," explains Joshua G. about RV Resort Four Seasons.

Route considerations: Road conditions affect larger RV travel. "Route 261 coming in from the NW passing by Palouse Falls and the town of Starbuck is EXTREMELY curvy and steep but absolutely beautiful. I highly recommend it UNLESS you have a big rig as the turns are very tight," warns Andrew A.

    Tips for camping with families

Playground access: Some campgrounds offer play areas for children. "There is a nice playground and it's walking distance from Safeway," notes Megan K. about Latah County Fairgrounds, providing convenient amenities for families.

Seasonal activities: Special events enhance family stays at certain parks. "The owners have fun with the residents... 'Sweet Saturday' with homemade goodies in the office and then Sunday Sundaes for $1 you can have an ice cream sundae with toppings in the office! The kids LOVED it!" shares Jennifer R.

Shade importance: During hot summer months, seek tree-covered sites. "Most of the sites are shaded by trees due to my starlink sat needs a clear shot at the sky I took a space in the sun. I was just traveling thru if I was staying longer go for shade. Its 85-90 this time of year," advises Joshua G.

    Tips from RVers

Utility placement: Check hookup locations before setting up. "The utilities are towards the back of the pad, so I had to use two sewer hoses to get from the main black tank on our Brinklely G model," cautions MickandKarla W. about Blue Valley RV Park.

Leveling requirements: Some parks have uneven sites requiring additional equipment. "The sites are annoyingly un-level. Make sure you have pads and a septic ramp," warns Zanna H. about RV Resort Four Seasons.

Pet policies: Most RV camping options near Pomeroy, Washington welcome pets with specific rules. "Go to Walla Walla's main street area where there are far more wine tasting rooms than you can do in a day," recommends MickandKarla W., highlighting activities available while traveling with pets at campgrounds that accommodate them.
