This is a "luxury boondocking" single party camp site in the forest with full hook-ups. Located 2 1/2 easy miles off of the pavement on a wide, well-maintained county road, The Wilds is a new and unique kind of camping. If you want to take the family away from it all, into the actual wilderness, surrounded by trees and wildlife, but still want a hot shower at the end of the day, this is the place. $75 - $110 / night
Willow Bay RV Resort and Marina, family owned and operated since 1995, is a waterfront RV resort park (with boat launch, marina, and docks) 35 minutes northwest of Spokane, Washington.
A clubhouse (free wi-fi in the clubhouse area), with HD satellite TV, and an indoor bathhouses are also great amenities to the RV resort. The resort features many activities including a swimming area, volleyball court, horseshoes, and tetherball. And for an added experience, two park model cabins (with a waterfront view) are now available to rent.
$30 - $97 / night
Great place for families and fishermen. Curlew Lake is known for its fishing, also boating, waterskiing, kayaking, etc. Resort has a variety of full service cabins and full RV hook up camp sites. Also tent sites available. Showers and laundry on site, along with convenient store, where bikes, boats, kayaks and paddle boards can be rented. Marked swim area for kids.
Open almost all year round.
After boondocking for the previous two nights this was a much needed oasis. High class operation. The name is confusing. It's actually the Deer Park RV Resort. It's right on the golf course. Seems to be a lot of long term campers. Put your trash out and they come by and pick it up in the morning. If you need propane, you set your bottle at the curb they will fill it and return it to your cradle. Beautiful bathhouse. Pool. A little pricey but worth it.
At your campsite your internet must be purchased and 90 % of the time it is unavailable. A complete waste of money. The campground is a combination of KOA and Thousand Trail. Very few of the KOA campsites have sewer hook ups. There are dump sites available. There is also a mobile pumpout service available if you want to pay for it. Shower and toilet facilities were very nice and always clean.
Fell in love with thousand trails felt like old fashioned camping
We spent a week here and loved it. It is so quiet and peaceful. The sites share electric and water, no sewer and are positioned oddly they are on the off side and in front by the road. Some 30and 50 amp just check the box. The sites are gravel, some what level and size/length varies, a few pull throughs, our 37ft 5ver had no problem. Bathroom showers are ok. Laundry is good. There is a small lake free fishing, didn’t fish. We stayed in the Thousand Trails side, it is a split park with KOA on the other side. Two dump stations, nice lodge/ spa and pool open. AT&T and Sprint were very good. At our site 144
Thousand Trails Member, this is a first come, first served, so get here early, they fill up fast! Electric/Water only, does have dump station available. Nice friendly staff, laundry on site, store open odd days and hours. Overall I would recommend this park as there is things for all family members to do!
A nice little campground that I used to go to with my Grandparents. It’s mostly set up for RV camping but works well with tents too. No hookups for RVs. Longest space is probably 20-25 ft. Beautiful view of the river!
There is the state park and 3 other resorts on the lake. All have full hook ups.
Shout out to Patrick to say Thank You. Great stay with my RV. Full hook ups. A Little packed but the fishing was worth it. Breakfast was great. The stay was fun. Can’t wait to go again. I will book it ever year from now on
Ashley here with The Dyrt. I want to give a warm welcome to your host, Marion. There are 21 sites available, each with full hook-ups. Check out the Ti-Pi's too! Book your stay today and leave them some love.
We are alone in rv park. RV 30'.
While we couldn’t find the Forty Niner, there was another RV park in its place at this waypoint
Local area RV Park. 10 drive-thru sites are on the upper level. Lower levels seem to be more permanent sites. All upper sites have 30/50 amp, water and 2 septic dumps per site. Reservations were easy to make and they were flexible when we had to modify our 2 night stay to 1. We were here to see the Dam light show that we’ve missed during COVID. Dam Visitor Center close to Park.
Wife preferred not to use park restroom.
Light gravel throughout and at all the sites. Perfectly level and all connections were as they should be. No shade trees in upper sites,
$35/night.
Positioned in a fieldy expanse, these units are right next to the casino. You pass by a gas station as you exit the highway and there’s plenty of space between sites. There’s also an international car museum directly across the path from the RV park
This place has whatever you are looking for in a campground. RV sites with full hookups for water/electric/sewer, there are outdoor or private indoor showers, it's ADA accessible, there's also a great outdoor kitchen and BBQ area. There are equipment rentals that are reasonably priced as well.
Make sure you fill your RV water before parking in your site. Reservations only no first come first serve. No cellular service, flush toilets but no showers. Site 48 has full shade great for our July visit. The only thing that bugged us was the noisy service/repair truck would squeak into campground area at 7am. As Oregon campground hosts we entered the campground at the earliest 9 on weekdays and 10 on weekends. Most of the USFS campgrounds are concessionaires with an occasional view of a ranger or law enforcement.
This is a good spot if fishing, boating, or water sports. Pull through sites with full hookups or grass sites for tents and all in between. Close to grand Coulee dam and all the attractions and right on banks lake.
We stumbled on this resort because they were on the Passport America list. They are NO longer a passport America park as they are under new ownership. Nice large campsites, beautiful swimming area and cute little store and breakfast restaurant! Beautiful star-y skies and lots of deer at night!!! No fire ring at the site, there are picnic tables and we had a full hookup site! Staff was super friendly. Dog friendly!
This campground has been around for awhile, but is under new ownership. It’s a really unique spot right on the shores of Loon Lake in Washington State. It’s a bit remote for one night, but if you’re planning a family reunion over a long weekend or something, this would be a great spot.
They’ve got a variety of accommodations — RV spots for those that use them, plus more permanent structures like “vintage cabins and retro apartments” (this sounds a little suspicious, but I swear, they’re good enough as long as you bear in mind that this is a campground. They even have a cafe and a little store so you only have to rough it solo as much as you want to.
They have a little marina with boat slips if you have your own, or you can rent from them and take advantage of everything the lake has to offer. Due to the remote location compared to other lakes closer to the Washington State metro areas, there aren’t a ton of people on the water here at any time of year, even during holidays.
I’m not sure how tent camping would work here, I’m sure they would find a way to accommodate it if you wanted to try, but if I was in a group sans RV I’d probably splurge on a cabin and call it a day.
Beaver Lodge was a pretty good first spot. The spot we had for a 29’ was a little tight but there was enough room between the RVs. Problem we had was that much of the grounds were empty but we had a camper on either side. Also, the hookups were not in good spots. The electric was at the front and shared, only one 30 and one 50, and the water/sewer was at the back end. We needed a 50’ hose to reach and the electric was tight. Everyone had the same complaint.
The lake was right across the street and we took our kid there each day. Smoky in fire season but it was a great first experience. There is also a little store and restaurant that has things you may need or if you don’t want to cook. Store has beer, wine, sundries, etc.
We came here to enjoy the lake. The campground was right on the lake shore with a great sand beach!
They sites are pretty close together but were usable. The site we had was a back-in site, the site is gravel and pretty level. There are no hookups at this location. First time boon docking, so we were not sure what to expect. This allowed us to test out our travel trailer and it passed.
We have Verizon and there were no issues with cell service for us.
The campground has a clean restroom, we used our trailer shower.
Pets are allowed and with how the lakeshore was, we were able to walk around a bend and get away from others allowing us to go off-leash so our dog could play in the water freely.
We had a campground all to ourselves in early April. It is full of birds and waterfowl. Rocky cliff side down to the lake. In April the water levels are low for flood control. Beautiful sunsets, the site's are large and the road is good.
There are large sites for trucks, trailers. Tent camping is nice in the upper loop, but nothe a lot of shade in the lower loop. $9 in off season and $18 in peak.
Bathrooms were clean and had toilet paper. The walking tour at this campground is also nice. Full of history.
This was our first TT stay and it was not what we expected. There is no sewer at any of the sites which was not advertised on the site. No laundry available due to no sewer. There is a dump station on the KOA side of the park which is across the street. Just not convenient for someone who only has a 30 gallon Grey tank. We have to dump daily. They have propane available but when I asked I was told that there would not be anyone here approved to refill till Saturday, which is 3 days from today! Also, bring extension cords and extra hoses as all the hookups are at the front of the sites. You will need them.
Rustic KOA campground. Country store for basic needs but isn't open all the time. Tent and RV sites. Access to Little Diamond Lake. Great bass fishing. Wifi and cell service works.
We were heading to Lake Spokane Campground (LSC) and saw this site as we drove passed and thought it looked beautiful. We were put off by the reviews so carried onto LSC. When we got to LSC we found that it’s not actually on the lake and pretty much all of the sites do not have lake views, so we turned around and headed back to Willow Bay Site. The man (I think the site manager?) at the office was super friendly and accommodating and let us choose our spot (NB the campsite was very quiet - only 5 other RVs). The site really is beautiful - so green and well-kept, respecting the green belt area. I personally like that the pitches aren’t marked out - it saves the grass and gives a lovely meadowy feel! We were just in a camper so I can’t say anything about the hook-ups/water etc. The toilets and showers were not great - It really could do with renovation - it would be a quick 2 week job in winter to get the facilities up to standard so it’s a shame they haven’t done it yet. I also thought $42 was steep given we didn’t have a hook-up. Overall it’s worth it for the wonderful location.
Ranger Review: GCI Outdoor Recliner chair at North Gorge Campground
Campground review:
North Gorge is a sleepy little place. Small campground with a small boat launch. There isn't a lot of parking so beware if you bring your truck and trailer here. The sites are small, seemed to be a decent amount of space between them. Vault toilets, well maintained. each site has your standard picnic table, and fire ring. There was a burn ban in August, no fires for us. They actually zip tied no fire signs to each fire pit. There are only a few sites, most for tent camping only, however there are a few that will fit a trailer or rv. It is $9 in the off season Nov 1st to May 30th, and $18 in the peak season

As a Ranger for the Dyrt, sometime I get to test out awesome products in exchange for an honest review. The GCI outdoor Recliner is well built with quality materials. It is easy to slide in and out of the large storage back. easy to set up and take down. I love the mesh back, it helps to keep you cool in those hot summer days. The chair has 3 reclining positions and my favorite part was reclining the chair all the way to look at the stars, it gives the perfect angle. I also love the storage pocket on the back. just fold up the storage bag and put it in the pocket for a pillow. It has a cup holder, but I wasn't a big fan of the placement. I give this chair an 8/10.
We stayed here with our 21’ travel trailer. There are no hookups so we brought a our generator and made sure we had a full tank of water. The sites were far enough apart to provide some sense of separation, which we liked. The paved parking was quite small for the “max vehicle length” rating. This left us using every in of pavement we had. Access to the water is limited to the boat launch and there isn’t much of a water play area. The little store at the boat launch was nice, and the person working there was friendly. We also, utilized the free event dump on our way out, which was convenient located.
