Overview

Edgewater Campground is perched along the banks of the Pend Oreille River in the Colville National Forest. The quiet, family-friendly campground attracts visitors who come for boating, hiking and fishing. The picturesque area, surrounded by cedar, hemlock and Douglas fir, boasts views of the Selkirk Mountains.

Recreation

Trout and bass fishing is great for avid anglers. A boat ramp is located on-site. Hikers enjoy exploring nearby Terry Trail and Box Canyon. Wildlife watching for moose, white-tailed deer and the endangered woodland caribou is another popular activity.

Natural Features

The campground sits on a bluff on the east bank of the river at an elevation of 2,000 feet. Many campsites offer a scenic view of the river. The forest floor is covered with thimbleberry, wild rose and other shrubs. The 1.1 million acre Colville National Forest lies in the northeast corner of Washington. The forest's great salmon runs first attracted native Americans to the area, then miners, homesteaders and fur trappers followed. Primitive & Overgrown

The "day use" area has no river access, overgrown trees & shrubs with no open area to play. Each site has space, privacy & bear enclosure for foods. Tons of bugs & mosquitos.

Added to our yearly campsite

A great campground with river access and boat launch. Site 16 and others feel my like a private campground trees in between each site and lots of privacy. limited to no cell service  to get away from it all. Have fun exploring the area around with many outdoor attractions. Is on our calendar for a yearly trip.

Great spot next to Sullivan lake

This is a more rustic campground with only a few water pumps available and no other services besides a toilet. Each site is large with trees between so you do have a lot of privacy. We found lake access to be semi-difficult besides a single boat ramp but the nearby Sullivan lake has a great day use beach area

Gorgeous campground on the Pend Oreille River

This is one of the better looking campgrounds in the area. It sits right on the Pend Oreille River in the Colville National Forest, so fishing is good as well as the great views. The campground was nicely maintained and the host was very pleasurable to chat with. The campground offers drinking water, day use area, boat launch, trash removal, and vault toilets.  Firewood is also sold by the host.

The sites are spacious and well separated. Each includes a fire pit, picnic table and tent pad. The website claims that all sites are accessible for any RV but I noticed a couple that might be difficult for large RV's.

With the beauty and maintenance comes a price and that is:

$20/single site

$40/double site

$10/Extra vehicle

$5/Day Use

All in all this place is great but a little pricey for me. I would still highly recommend it to others though as it is a beautiful place to stay, especially iof you have a boat.

Beautiful!

This section of the Colville, there is so much to see and do! This campground is close to many attractions and has great fishing! The parking areas are really long and most have a great view of the lake. Bear boxes fire rings and picnic tables are all provided at most every site. There is also bear proof trash and water spigots near by the sites as well. This is right on the Pend Oreille River, and there is a nice boat launch and fishing pier. The sites are extra large and can take just about any RV size you have. The roads in are nice and paved as well. The bathrooms are maintained regularly and have toilet paper, You can reserve site here or there are FSFS sites as well but it is a small campground and there are only a few sites to be had as it is, I think they run around $21 a night, and no hookups.
