"We spent 4 nights here as a jumping-off point to explore Whidbey Island and a day trip to visit Orcas Island... If you venture right (directionally) out of the driveway from the RV Park, you'll find the Cornet Bay side of the state park that offers quieter, lesser crowded trails and a different view of the bridge."

"Simple campground with no real Amenities but the setting is fantastic with a lay out that lets you feel like you've got your privacy in the woods," reports JL, emphasizing the natural separation between camping areas.
Waterfront views: Several campsites offer direct water views that campers consistently rate highly. "This place is a gem. The online reservations and check-in processes were smooth and efficient... Where this place shines is in its location with beautiful views across the mouth of Puget Sound to Whidbey Island, the Cascades beyond, as well as Point Wilson Lighthouse nearby at Fort Worden," writes Eph B. about Point Hudson Marina & RV Park.
Clean facilities: Lake Pleasant RV Park maintains well-kept shower and laundry facilities. "The facilities were very clean, laundry was great and very affordable! Lots of geese, ducks, and bunnies are around the property. Great privacy hedges between spots. The areas were paved and level," notes Terri, highlighting the park's cleanliness standards.
What you should know
Naval air station noise: Campgrounds near Naval Air Station Whidbey Island experience periodic jet noise. At North Whidbey RV Park, "There is occasional noise from Naval Station Whidbey, but this camper doesn't mind the occasional sighting of a fighter jet," explains Jim J., offering perspective on the intermittent noise conditions.
