Best RV Parks & Resorts near Edmonds, WA

Several RV parks operate near Edmonds with varying amenities and settings. Lake Pleasant RV Park in Bothell features full hookups including 50-amp electric, water, and sewer connections, with year-round availability. The property accommodates large recreational vehicles with big-rig friendly pull-through rv pads. Tall Chief Campground in Fall City offers spacious rv sites surrounded by trees, though most sites have only 30-amp and water hookups without sewer. Silver Lake RV Park provides water and electric hookups in a lakeside setting, though reviews indicate limited availability for travelers. "We had full hook up and amenities," noted one camper about Eagle Tree RV Park.

Access roads to most parks accommodate large motorhomes, though navigation requires attention to clearance in heavily wooded areas. Dump stations are available at Lake Pleasant, Tall Chief, and several other facilities, with some parks offering on-site pumping services for an additional fee. According to one visitor, "The power grid definitely needs an upgrade. Especially as RVs have gotten larger." Cell reception varies significantly within parks due to tree coverage, with some sites requiring careful selection for adequate service. Most rv parks accept pets with breed and size restrictions, and nearly all require advance reservations, especially during summer months when occupancy rates peak. Winter camping is possible at multiple locations as many remain operational year-round.

Town and Country Motorcoach and RV Resort

Great Stop After a Long Trip

We followed RV Trip Wizard south on I-5 straight to the campground (CG). At the stoplight next to Lowe’s, you simply continue straight into the resort entrance for check-in. Check-in was super easy and informative, and we were then escorted to pull-through Site 11 with FHUs. A standout feature here is that each long pull-through has full utility hookups on both sides. Sewer placement was excellent—neither too high nor too low—and the sewer cap even swivels to align with your hose(something we’d never seen before). The pad was long enough for our 40' toy hauler with the patio down, plus convenient parking for our F450. It was interesting that a CG this nice did not have picnic tables nor fire pits/barbecues at the sites. Connectivity was great: campground Wi-Fi delivered~49 Mbps down/ 44 Mbps up, while T-Mobile Home Internet hit 133 Mbps down/ 9 Mbps up. On the north side of the CG is a tree farm where dogs can roam off-leash. We were also able to receive packages—very helpful coming back from Alaska/Canada—and even had our vehicle washed onsite. An RV tech staying in the CG was available for repairs. The campground hosts and workers could not have been more accommodating—allowing package delivery, coordinating vehicle washing and RV repairs, and most of all not fertilizing our grassy site because of our 15-year-old pup. There is some road and occasional train noise, but nothing too disruptive. They were getting the shower houses and laundry building finished up while we were there. This is a very nice, newer campground, and we thoroughly enjoyed our week-long stay.

    La Conner Marina RV Resort

    Decent Level Sites

Nice location conveniently located near the Marina, close to everything.

Premium sites are double wide and have a spot to park your RV AND Vehicle. Discount for Good Sam Club members.

Premium Sites $55 before discount (back-in only) Pull-through Sites $55 before discount Regular Back-in Site $45

All sites have Full Hookups, Picnic table & a minor grassed Area.

We stayed in a Premium site, enjoyed the view of the Fields behind us. Extremely quiet, open, not dusty. Downside, people don’t pick up after their Pets. We have two Shelties & think of others so we’re not the Culprits…

Otherwise, pleasant overall. Laundry accepts cards only which is extremely convenient since coins are hard to come by.

5G t-Mobile is 5-stars at our Site, it’s not listed as an option yet.

    Cascades RV Resort

    Cascades RV Resort

We are long term RV campers here at Cascades. It is a lovely RV resort with large concrete pads with astroturf lawn and picnic table. Everyone is friendly. Nightly noise is never excessive. Gracie’s place is an onsite cafe that serves food, alcohol, deserts, coffees, and other drinks. You can get package delivery just no USPS. They do offer monthly discounts. Would highly recommend for anyone in an RV.

    North Sound Recreational Vehicle Park

    Simple Urban RV Park

This is very much an RV park and not really a campground. Seems like a clean little park, but right in the middle of Lynnwood, so if you are looking for a rural setting this isn't for you.

They offer weekly and monthly rentals, so this is more of a long-term sort of place.

    Website: Northsound RV Park

    Requirements from their site:

    • Your travel trailer must be year 2005 or newer
    • Pet friendly(limit 2) not to exceed 25 lbs. Aggressive breed restrictions apply.
    • No conversion vehicles - sorry van and bus life people
    • No trailers larger than 35' long, ideally.

    Kayak Point County Park

Small woodsy campground with beach access

All campsites are surrounded by trees so choose carefully if you need a pull through or if you have a large rig that you’re trying to back up. We had a small camper van and it fit perfectly. Campsite is on a bluff above the beach, but you can’t see the sunset from the campground you would have to go down to the beach. Bathroom/shower is typical for a state or county campground - functional, but zero elegance. This one is a county campground and state or federal passes do not apply. Water and 30 amp electric at all sites except one tent site. Douglas squirrels are common and shy. Pets are welcome on leash.

    Blue Sky RV Park

    Awesome park

We reserved a space for 1 night the day before. Great communication with Brett, everything went really smooth. The facilities are great and very clean, the park very quiet. There are a lot of big rigs parked there, some of the pm long-term as it seems. We enjoyed ourselves and would definitely visit again.

    Washington Park Campground

    Anacortes Camping

Great medium size campground surrounded by saltwater, short trails, and grassy picnic areas. Great views of islands and sunsets. Boat launch with large paid parking area. Walking distance to Skyline Marina for a variety of ocean activities. We went on a whale tour and encountered atleast 10 Orcas. Campground can be muddy in some spots. Mostly reservations, 14 day in advance, but there a a few first come first serve sites. Some with water and electric. Motorhome, trailers and tents. Some spots looked like they could handle 40 foot rigs. A couple longer pull throughs. Very shelterd anthrough. Not much good for solar. Showers and restrooms.

    Olympic Peninsula-Port Angeles KOA

    Peaceful, friendly, comfortable

We stayed 3 nights in a quiet site that backed to a farm field with cows. Nice and spacious sites, really a nice family-friendly and dog-friendly campground with nice scattered tree cover and landscaping. I could tell families come back to this one for getaways. Laundry and camp store with nice supplies. Great friendly staff. Would for sure stay here again en route to Olympic National Park.

    Cedar Glen RV Park

great long-term or quick on the way

There are several long term campers here. The grounds are kept immaculate and they regularly update the sites.  They hang wreaths for the winter holidays. Lawns mowed weekly.

All are level gravel. All have grass area, some with patio pad. There is a dog walk area and they are currently creating a dog fenced area at the end orf the two rows.

A caretaker is on site and will often help guide rigs into the sites (all are back-in).

Close to Poulsbo (a cute, Norwegian heritage town), Seattle ferry via Bainbridge Island and just over an hour to the Olympic National Park via the Hood Canal Bridge.

Guide to Edmonds

Rv sites near Edmonds, Washington provide convenient access to both Puget Sound attractions and mountainous terrain within an hour's drive. Annual precipitation averages 37 inches, primarily between October and March when many campgrounds remain operational despite occasional freezing temperatures. Cell reception strength varies significantly by carrier throughout the area, with Verizon typically providing most reliable service.

What to do

Hiking access: Thousand Trails Thunderbird in Monroe sits alongside the Skykomish River with multiple trails accessible directly from camp. "Great place. Riverside no sewer hookups but have dump station by where you check in. Perfect to check in dump if you stay on river side," notes Tracy P.

Explore nearby towns: Sun Outdoors Gig Harbor provides an excellent home base for day trips. "Very close to Gig Harbor. Quiet, lots of trees, level gravel sites, and full hook ups available," writes Steven L. The campground's location allows convenient access to waterfront dining and boutique shops within a 10-minute drive.

Water activities: Port Ludlow RV Park offers proximity to kayaking and boating opportunities. "We stayed here last summer and loved exploring the area. A week just wasn't enough, we want to return and spend 2 weeks exploring and relaxing," comments Carla T. The marina adjacent to the campground provides boat rentals and guided fishing excursions seasonally.

What campers like

Privacy between sites: Tall Chief Campground in Fall City features spacious sites separated by mature trees. "Most sites are pretty big too. We can easily fit our trailer, tow vehicle, and extra vehicle and still have space!" reports Brodie D. Sites average 55 feet in length, accommodating large rigs while maintaining natural buffers.

Clean facilities: Many visitors appreciate the well-maintained bathrooms at campgrounds in the region. "The bathrooms are usually found to be immaculate. The main bathrooms have a great 'spa' feeling to their design and make you feel like you are glamping," one camper writes about Tall Chief Campground.

Convenient shopping access: Cove RV Park & Country Store offers on-site provisioning. "A great store, and fantastic and friendly management made this a very pleasant stay!" notes JL. The store stocks camping essentials, basic groceries, and local specialty items, eliminating the need for trips to town for forgotten supplies.

What you should know

Reservation requirements: Most campgrounds near Edmonds require advance booking, especially May through September. Winter availability improves but popular sites still fill quickly during holiday periods.

Varying cell reception: Signal strength fluctuates significantly between and within campgrounds. "Another thing that can be annoying is trying to find a site with good cell reception due to all the trees. They definitely have a few, but I would say arrive early so you can drive by all the sites while checking to make sure you have good reception if you need it," advises a Tall Chief camper.

Urban proximity trade-offs: Lake Pleasant RV Park in Bothell offers convenient city access with natural elements. "It was only about 30 minutes to downtown, but almost felt like you were out in the country," explains Nikki R. This balance means occasional traffic noise but easy access to urban conveniences.

Limited tent camping: Most facilities prioritize RV sites with fewer dedicated tent spaces. "Tenting areas are 10-15 feet from the road, so very noisy all night long. The road is 35mph, so it's noisy," warns Geoffrey W. about Thousand Trails Thunderbird.

Tips for camping with families

Playground access: Look for campgrounds with dedicated play areas. "This is a very clean campground that is a mix of short term campers and traveling nurses. Indoor pool, small playground, dog run and well marked facility," notes Mareesha B. about Trailer Inns RV Park in Bellevue.

Kid-friendly amenities: Some parks offer recreational facilities beyond basic camping. "The pool, miniature golf, playground and basketball were great. Laundry facilities came in handy," writes Isabel G. about her stay at a campground near Monroe.

Space considerations: Request sites away from roads when traveling with children. "We had a great time, even stayed an extra night! Our space was nice and gave us some privacy," shares a family who appreciated the buffer from neighboring sites and traffic.

Tips from RVers

Service availability: Several campgrounds offer mobile pumping services for extended stays without sewer hookups. "We stayed 3 months for work, perfect beautiful, CHEEP CHEEP, not too good to be true, just right. All hook ups included. (Bring your dump tote!) easy easy easy dump station," advises David O. about Tall Chief Campground.

Electrical capacity considerations: Choose sites carefully based on your power needs. "Look at monthly rates if you staying more than two weeks. On site storage if you need to leave your rig for a few days," suggests Tom C., highlighting flexible options at Lake Pleasant RV Park.

Site selection strategy: Arrive early when possible to assess site conditions personally. "I would say arrive early so you can drive by all the sites while checking to make sure you have good reception if you need it. I'm getting 120+ mbs download on AT&T in my site right now, but several sites down from me, it can dwindle down to 5mbs!" explains one camper, emphasizing the importance of in-person verification rather than relying solely on campground maps.
