    La Conner Marina RV Resort

    Decent Level Sites

Nice location conveniently located near the Marina, close to everything.

Premium sites are double wide and have a spot to park your RV AND Vehicle. Discount for Good Sam Club members.

Premium Sites $55 before discount (back-in only) Pull-through Sites $55 before discount Regular Back-in Site $45

All sites have Full Hookups, Picnic table & a minor grassed Area.

We stayed in a Premium site, enjoyed the view of the Fields behind us. Extremely quiet, open, not dusty. Downside, people don’t pick up after their Pets. We have two Shelties & think of others so we’re not the Culprits…

Otherwise, pleasant overall. Laundry accepts cards only which is extremely convenient since coins are hard to come by.

5G t-Mobile is 5-stars at our Site, it’s not listed as an option yet.

Hidden Village RV Park & Campground

Great price, very nice manager lady.

I rented a long term space here for over 2 years while working in Washington. Price was by far the best around. It's a very good sized place with spaces to accommodate even the largest trailers. Even when full there's room to maneuver.Full hookups, wifi, bathrooms, shower, laundry room, swimming pool. Has seperate parking for boats, utility trailers etc. Lots of big trees around for a fair amount of shade. Is pet friendly. Manager lady is very nice. Has a separate non power section for tents or dry camping. It's not the fanciest but for the price is great.

    Washington Park Campground

    Anacortes Camping

Great medium size campground surrounded by saltwater, short trails, and grassy picnic areas. Great views of islands and sunsets. Boat launch with large paid parking area. Walking distance to Skyline Marina for a variety of ocean activities. We went on a whale tour and encountered atleast 10 Orcas. Campground can be muddy in some spots. Mostly reservations, 14 day in advance, but there a a few first come first serve sites. Some with water and electric. Motorhome, trailers and tents. Some spots looked like they could handle 40 foot rigs. A couple longer pull throughs. Very shelterd anthrough. Not much good for solar. Showers and restrooms.

    North Whidbey RV Park

Clean, well organized RV Park for big rigs

We called early afternoon and asked if they had a space for that night for a fifth wheel with total rig length 53ft. Nice grass around all the campsites, 50 Amp electricity, water and sewer. Picnic table at every site. Lovely location but it can be noisy due to proximity to road and navy jets. Overall a great place I will stay again.

    Rasar State Park Campground

    Spacious Getaway

We just spent two nights cold weather camping here. It’s a beautiful quiet park with very spacious lots. There is not a lot to do besides hiking, but if you are looking for peace and quiet in the woods, this might be the ticket.

    Riverfront RV Park

Inexpensive and great for a one night

30 amp sites with water. Dump station was not on site. No showers but clean bathrooms. Traveling with friends and we were the only 2 RVs there except for a campground host. The host helped our friends replace a pin on a slide out.

    Deception Pass State Park Campground

    Cozy campsites !

There were SO MANY available campsites when we got there. About mid afternoon. The ranger was super friendly and welcoming! The bathrooms were nice and had showers that require tokens that you can buy with your site at check in. The sites vary in size and shape but most of them are decently private/ spaced apart. The site next to us never got booked, probably because it was small, but it was nice for us because it was only a few bushes away. Sites include a picnic table and fire ring with grill grate . There was a trail to the beach not far from us and it was super nice. Although there are plenty of signs that require dogs to be on leashes most people did not adhere to those rules, so keep an eye out if you're bringing the doggos. Very family friendly, very cozy, very nice stay!

    Thousand Trails La Conner

    Going downhill fast

This is the very first park I took my motorhome to.  After spending a year getting the rig ready, I was finally ready to take it on the road.  I had joined Thousand Trails earlier in the year and set off to see what I knew.  While I had previous RVs before (5th Wheel, Class C's, Travel trailers) this was my trip in a Class A.

My first visit to the Thousand Trails La Conner site was great.  I was able to find a nice full hook up site at the edge of the park very close to the water.

A couple more visits to the park in the following months gave a less than great experience but still good.

Last week turned a corner.  While the staff is still five star level, the park is showing a lot of wear and tear.  I counted more than a dozen closed sites.  Some of these sites had been closed for a long time.  Potholes and ruts in the road made travel unpleasant but the pools of water (and mud) really stood out.

Granted, I was there in February but these issues were not just seasonal.  Some of the same sites had been closed for the past few visits to the park.

I hope they start to pay attention to this park because its location is great.

Guide to Blaine

RV campgrounds near Blaine, Washington provide year-round camping options close to the Canadian border, where winter temperatures typically range from 30-45°F and summer averages 65-75°F. The area features coastal terrain with elevations near sea level, making it accessible for camping during all seasons, though winter rain can create muddy conditions at some sites.

What to do

Beach activities: At Beachside RV Park, campers can enjoy the shallow, warm waters of Birch Bay directly across the street. "Lots of places to walk and bike to. Kayaking? That, too, of course," notes Jan K. The park's location makes water activities convenient without needing to drive.

Golfing: Many Blaine RV campgrounds are situated near golf courses that welcome visitors. The small beach town near Beachside RV Park is "golf cart friendly," according to a camper who mentioned, "We stayed over the July 4th holiday, and it was packed but not over the top."

Wildlife viewing: The waters around Point Roberts offer orca watching opportunities. Sunny Point RV Resort features "quirky orca decor, a testament to how frequently you can see these incredible animals passing by Point Roberts," according to a visitor who appreciated the "tremendous views of the mountains" from the rocky beach.

What campers like

Privacy features: Several RV parks in the Blaine area offer design elements that increase privacy. The Cedars RV Resort in Ferndale features "hedges between spots so you're not eating lunch at the table, staring at your neighbors sewer hose and power box," as one camper noted, appreciating the thoughtful layout.

Clean facilities: Campground bathroom and shower quality varies significantly across Blaine area RV parks. One camper at Thousand Trails Birch Bay praised the "very nice bathrooms" and noted they are "single rooms not shared, very private and sparkling clean!" This detail matters for longer stays.

Nature trails: Some Blaine RV campgrounds feature walking paths through natural areas. A visitor to Thousand Trails Birch Bay mentioned "Our nephews came to visit and enjoyed the pool and small nature trails around camp," indicating these features appeal to guests of all ages.

What you should know

Reservation systems: While most parks take advance reservations, policies differ. One camper noted a "RED FLAG: First, they take reservations but do not reserve a spot for you; rv spots are first come first serve" at one location, showing the importance of confirming specific site assignment policies.

Site density: Campground layouts vary dramatically in the Blaine area. At Bellingham RV Park, one visitor described sites as "TIGHT. No room on either side. No privacy," while others mentioned the spots are "pretty straight-forward, as it's just a lot for RVs."

Seasonal maintenance: Facility upkeep can decline during busy periods. One visitor noted, "The bathrooms were clean over the weekend and then the camp host I think gave up as they were not cleaned at all the week following." Some parks also experience infrastructure issues seasonally.

Tips for camping with families

Amenity-focused stays: For families with children, prioritize campgrounds with recreational facilities. A camper at Thousand Trails Birch Bay stated, "Lots to do here on site, but get out and explore the town. You're sure to have a good time here."

Pool access: Several Blaine area RV parks maintain swimming pools that provide entertainment for younger visitors. The Cedars RV Resort features a "big pool" according to one reviewer who described it as a "great spot for glamping" with "plenty of pull thru spots."

Beach proximity: Thousand Trails La Conner, though farther from Blaine, offers beach access popular with families. "Bathrooms are kept clean, mini golf is fun, and the walks to 'Lone Tree' at sunset are amazing," reported one family who found it "worth every penny."

Tips from RVers

Site selection: Experienced RVers recommend requesting specific areas within larger parks. At Thousand Trails Birch Bay, one visitor noted, "2 phases for RVs - phase 1 spots are so close you could very well 'spare a square' of TP to your neighbor. Phase 2 has a lot more room to spread out and it's nice."

Airport proximity: RVers needing quick access to transportation find Bellingham RV Park convenient. A visitor shared, "Park felt safe and restrooms, area around the RVs were all very clean and homey... the location for what we needed at the time (close to the airport, close to El Monte RV) and a place to safely lay our heads was perfect."

Infrastructure reliability: Check on essential systems before arrival. One RVer at Thousand Trails La Conner warned, "June 2023 dump stations and all campsite sewer hookups are down for maintenance. Nearest offsite dumps are 10 miles away."
