Good for a Short Stay

We are a full-time traveling family with 2 kids (8 & 13) and 2 English Bulldogs. We have a Class A motorhome and flat tow a Jeep. We spent 2 nights at Moose River in Vermont. We knew ahead of time that their site said they don't cater to kids; however, we felt like we had eyes on us the entire…

Perfect Campground

My family has been coming here for years each Fourth of July and we are never disappointed! The bathrooms are always exceptionally clean, and the lake is great for swimming. The boat rentals aren’t bad either! Plus, the hosts are always friendly and fun to chat with.

Beautiful small campground

The campground is small and oh so charming. The spaces are nice sized with full hookups on most. All the lots are beautifully landscaped. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The laundry room is near most sites. The campground is in the perfect location to visit Lake Champlain. There is so much to…

Horrible this is not camping

This was the worst experience of our life, this place was the size of a shoe box was not real camping or even close to it the site was NOT big enough for our tent and truck. We got there and didn’t even get out of the truck and we went back to the front desk and told them we could not stay here and…

  • You can see how close these campsites are and how small

Cute and cozy campground, beside beautiful Lake Willoughby

Campgrounds was cozy and clean. Visitors were very friendly & courteous. Campground offered individual bathrooms, again well kept- very clean. Hosts were welcoming, present, and kind. And absolutely beautiful view of Lake Willoughby. Take a paddle out there, they have rentals very reasonably…

  • Tent campsite... my pick this round...my site locations allowed a choice to park at my site, or very close by where extended parking is available. Some campsites, parking is a very close walk.
  • Lake Willoughby , yes please!
  • Cozy cabin option.

Interesting State Park

This state park has a little bit of everything. There are sites with electric hookups as well as some without. Some sites are in the middle of a grassy field while others are tucked in the trees. Site size various pretty vastly as you travel through the campground. There are two main loops, one is…

Nice-sized wooded sites, plenty to do in the area

Pittsburg, NH is an area popular with those who enjoy riding ATVs, hunting, fishing, and boating and Buck Rub's Hidden Acres Campground is a nice good place to make your base with easy access to trails and lakes.

I had no problem making reservations online; all sites have water and electric…

Hillside campground above the lakes

This is a family run campground located on a hillside between Lake Francis and First Connecticut Lake in Pittsburg, NH. The area is a favorite for those who enjoy boating or riding ATV/snowmobiles (depending on the season), hunting, and wildlife watching (it's called Moose Alley for a reason).

Clean, comfortable, fun

We had a great time here! We were there during Covid and they did a great job spreading everything out and setting visitor expectations to follow the safety guidelines. We enjoyed biking, hiking, campfires, etc and everyone was so nice and helpful for us, especially since we were first timers.

Nice peaceful campground by the river

A great peaceful campground along the Moose River, which at this point is smaller than its name implies. Depending on the water levels you can wade into the river and get your feet wet! The campground itself is nice and the owners take great care of the grounds and the people who stay here. Can't…

New campground

Decided to give this place a try on the last camping weekend of the season. The site we stayed at has a few trees around it & a beautiful view in the back. Has a heated, salt water pool! I definitely plan on coming back next year!
