Extremely disappointed
The spots are so close to each other that I could hear my neighbor flush their toilet from inside my rv. It was a 110 conversion electric not 30 amp. No dump site on property, i was told my only option was to go down the road to Willo Campground and i could dump my tanks there for $30. Absolutely no internet or phone service in the campground, WiFi worked only if you went up to the office.
Beautiful View
We stayed here in late August. The weather was beautiful and our campsite had an incredible view of the lake. The camp store was not big, but has a few items of need. My only fault to the campground is the showers have a coin system in place to use them
Horrible this is not camping
This was the worst experience of our life, this place was the size of a shoe box was not real camping or even close to it the site was NOT big enough for our tent and truck. We got there and didn’t even get out of the truck and we went back to the front desk and told them we could not stay here and they offered us a 50% refund and then told us we needed to sleep with the owners and the owner told my friend she didn’t look at the fine print and it was very clear what they offer and they are not! He took back the refund and would not give us one! Then told us the site was big enough for 6 people and I said we only had 3 and two toddlers and he said well the sites only big enough for 4 people he kept going back on him self he was extremely rude. This was the worst camp ground I’ve ever been to and it shouldn’t even be called a campground. If you like camping extremely close to others able to touch them and camping on gravel go for it it is also very unsafe for kids! My recommendation don’t go here and go to will o wood camp ground down the road we went there right after they were cheaper and it was 10 times better my kids and us enjoyed it so much more and it had trees!
Cute and cozy campground, beside beautiful Lake Willoughby
Campgrounds was cozy and clean. Visitors were very friendly & courteous. Campground offered individual bathrooms, again well kept- very clean. Hosts were welcoming, present, and kind. And absolutely beautiful view of Lake Willoughby. Take a paddle out there, they have rentals very reasonably priced! Enjoy your stay!! Awesome experience traveling to the East coast.
You can’t beat the view!
great little campground right on lake Willoughby. sites are small but with the view it’s worth it. little camp store & deli. beach right across the road. kayak & canoe rentals. crystal clear lake to swim in.

Small, quaint and perfectally situated at south end of Lake
We had investigated the Campground a bit before coming so we were aware that the site we were in along the front was going to be tight. You are a bit on top of your neighbors. But the grass area and view of lake right in front of you is priceless. We were able to just walk our kayaks across street and put in right there. There’s also access to some trails in walking distance or short distance up road. Close to the North Kingdom Bike trails which was beautiful. Campground store was good and the owners were very nice. Seemed to do a good business with kayak, paddle board rentals. A lot of activity. Didn’t use the facilities but know you need an access key as they don’t allow public to use. We will definitely be back.

Good launching area for MTB
Sites close together, lots of RVs, not cheap. Cheaper than a hotel for kingdom trails though and right next to lake Willoughby
Quaint little Campsite
This campsite was perfect. Despite the rain our entire trip, White Caps Campground had all the amenities we needed. A solid foundation, clean bathrooms, a general store with basic necessities, and an area to rent kayaks, paddle boards and canoes. The seasonal folk are friendly and the camp site workers are pleasant enough (The old man who drives the rental kayaks and such across the road for you is crabby if you don't kayak the exact route he suggests). It is located directly across the road from Lake Willoughby, one of the most picturesque scene's I've ever witnessed in person. Beware: just across from the campground is the entrance to the lake, however a small trail off to the left will lead you directly to the local nude beach called Southwest Cove.
All-in-all, wonderful area. I plan on returning.
We were so surprised that this was such a dump!
We made a single nights reservation, for a tent, based on recommendation from Kingdom Trails website. The campground is located in a beautiful area of Vermont, but....the tenting campground, a bit dismal. We arrived to find a teeny tiny space, right next to other spaces...in fact, had we set up our small tent, we would be less than ten feet from adjacent tents. Within less than 20 feet across the dirt path were side by side tent trailers and rvs. We would not have been able to use the metal fire ring because the fire would have been within 6 feet of our small tent. When we backed our car onto the narrow space, it was within a foot of the picnic table. Basically, it would have been like camping in a WalMart parking lot on a Saturday morning...if the parking lot was a treeless dirt lot. Within 3 minutes, we decided there was no way we could stay here, we were just not that desperate! We stopped at the rest room on the way out...gross! Smelly, wet, dirty, dingy. As we left, we decided that this was the best 25.00 we ever wasted...in fact, you could not have paid us to stay there . We cannot believe Kingdom Trails continues to suggest this disaster. I will add, the girl at the store/office was quite friendly...but she did not seem surprised when we returned for our bathroom key deposit so quickly! We were fortunate in that we could just head home...but if you are planning on a peaceful nights rest after mountain biking or hiking, this is not the place. There are beautiful state parks that we could recommend, and we just don't want folks that end up here to think that this is typical for Vermont camping!
