LegendMy second visit to Snow Canyon was just as rewarding as the first one. Gorgeous red rock scenery and impeccable maintenance for this lovely box canyon named after a pair of brothers with a last name of Snow.
During the second visit in May the weather was perfect for sleeping without the tent fly--- stars overhead.
Showers and bathrooms are first class.
Great tent section but strange RV section though--- looks like urban parking lot.
Excellent staff.
Tent sites are lovely except for site # 28 which is in a "hole".
Campground is 25 minutes from St. George.

RangerNicely kept state park, safe, on outskirts of St. George UT. RV spaces are CLOSE together. Tent sites are better, spacious. Showers in tent area have a pull-chain. From their website: 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily Phone: 435-628-2255 Fax: 435-628-9321 Management: Kristen Comella, Park Manager Jesse Henderson, Assistant Manager. Great red rock/lava flow hiking trail options, most are easy/moderate, nice loop through Snow Canyon and around on mesa and back for road cycling. Great mtn biking in St. George area (including a roller coaster ride on hard packed single track: Bear Claw Poppy and Snake Pit Loop trails. Many other trails in area). Huntsman World Senior Games held 2 to 3 weeks in Oct. in St. George. Traffic in St. George can be heavy at times particularly during typical rush hour times.
GuideSnow Canyon is a still relatively unknown place near St George, Utah. There is SO much to do around there and there are great hikes that leave from this campground which makes it even better. Padres canyon and three ponds are two of my favorites. There is rocks to climb on right around the site and lots more trails within a 5 minute drive. There are great restrooms, large group areas that include a pavilion which is always helpful when it is pouring rain while you are trying to eat with a large group.
RangerSimple but decently spaced sites and a ton of lush trees make for a lush, friendly, and calm neighborhood feel. Conveniently located in amidst the offerings of Hurricane and nearby St George.
Great stop for a layover or re-supply night!
ScoutWe thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this resort. All sorts of different styles of camping, glamping, or staying in a lodge available. Great amenities, although we spent so much time in Zion hiking that we didn't make use of even half of what there is to offer at the resort. We will be back.
ScoutThis is a great campground. Backs up against the Virgin River. Just a few minutes from Zion NP and St George. Pet friendly and kid friendly. Lots of shade trees. Clean pool and hot tub. Market on site with very reasonable prices.

Your site is a fenced in square in the middle of a field with maybe a planted tree. I had trouble finding kindling for our fire bc we were kinda in the middle of a parking lot. Also kinda pricey but it’s so close to Zion it’s worth it, especially bc you can park your car at the site then walk to the entrance of zion! Like 10-15min walk
GuideI had no idea this place existed and I’ve been driving through St. George for years. There is a lot of beautiful variety in the landscapes within the park. The park fee was $10 but if you camp at Snow Canyon, it’s included in the cost.
The sand pit reminded me of something from the Flintstones. A great spot to take your kids to play in this super soft, red sand. I would recommended taking a bike or a longboard (like I did in my video) and ride along the paved sidewalks. You get to be immersed in the vegetation and have a great view of the canyons. Definitely will be returning soon!
