Little out of the way gem

Stayed 6/1-4 in space 9. Very shady campground and campsite. Creek runs thru but not by this site. Only 1 vault toilet for the family campground, so walked over to Group site toilets which were cleaner. One trail out of camp to Rock Canyon but it was fairly steep and rocky so didn't do much of it. Did walk up and down paved road into camp and then on dirt roads off main road that had a few FCFS dry camp pull out areas along the creek. Campsites well spaced many with good views of valley or the red rock cliffs. No ATVs allowed in campground. Spaces 15 and 20 were also good, 10 is double size but same price with large drive and nice views to red cliffs. Camp host unobtrusive.

Would be great during fall colors. Saw some bear scat on trail closer to I-70

    Parking Lot Hook Up Site

This is in the back of the Loves Travel Center. It has 2 super nice dog parks that are fenced in.

It is loud since it’s in a gas station parking lot. Back in site only. All cement pads no sitting areas or places to be outside. Kind of weird cause people can just walk through and use the dog park around your RV.

People park in the RV spots. Not a secured location. Stopped here to sleep on our drive home. Left before dark.

No RV park showers or laundry facilities. Pay extra for the Truck stop showers (did not use)

Beautiful area and the kids loved being able to play in the park. Beautiful stars at night. Conveniently located near The Arches National Park

    Pleasantly Surprised

Beautiful scenery and just right outside of town. Very easy to access for most. I did see an RV camping but it had to be a bit more difficult for them. There are several established places to camp with beautiful views. Very private. Great for mountain biking

    Off road camping

Open area looks like local party spot, not for RVs. Lots of spots to pitch a tent, established fire pits. Not far off the main road. Road goes up past water tower and recommends using 4wd to come up to prevent washboard, but any vehicle with awe would do. No amenities and very private.

Beautiful view! Several fire pits, some with wood left by the rangers. Well maintained and quiet on this chilly night.

We absolutely thought this park was well maintained, super clean and easy check in! Although a nicer dog area would be awesome we still would stay again

    Off Season Camping

We came here to test out our new teardrop we bought from SLC. We wanted the electric hookup. We arrived during a snow storm, off season camping was first come first serve. We used the QR code to check in and pay. We were the only ones on the campground, so we took the campsite closest to the lake and the vault toilets (flush toilets were closed). The lake was beautiful and the campground was maintained nicely.

DON'T PREPAY UNLESS YOU CAN AFFORD TO LOOSE IT.

We rented 2 sites for 2 nights. When we arrived they were taken. Half of our party had to go elsewhere because there was only 1 site left. The host frankly doesn't appear to be capable of doing his job. Manager refused to refund if. Never again. POOR MANAGEMENT! Prepay at your own risk.

    Great fishing, mid sites

The reservoir had good fishing; we caught a couple tiger trout. We camped in early October and the algae was extreme.

The road out is dirt, but maintained. There wasn’t any signage with notices. There are plenty of camp sites with pavilions, picnic tables, and fire rings. The sites are mostly exposed and many don’t have even ground to park and level a trailer. There were a couple gem spots, but these were taken when we arrived. It wasn’t busy.

    Price Gouging & Drama!!

This campground has a $50.00 non-refundable'administration' fee. The owners (Super wealthy inventors of the'Squatty Pottie') quickly doubled the rent for workers coming to the area. Electric extra. Our rent ran around $1,000 a month but a lot of people paid more, depending on their electric use. No playground or pool and next to a busy road. (Okay if you like the sound of Jake brakes at all hours.) When we arrived in February they advertised Wi-Fi on their website. It's actually dial up I think. They kept assuring us it was coming, but as of July, it hasn't happened.

There is insane drama here! The workers hate each other and want to discuss it with everyone, ad nauseam.

Tenants regularly had their packages stolen from the office, including us. The administration gave our package to someone who sold it. They still didn't think twice about keeping the $50 administration fee! A tip for the thief?

We weren't thrilled at being price gouged and robbed at the same campground. We wouldn't stay here again.

    Baker Hot Springs Dispersed Camping

Remote, quiet, peaceful area, nice hot springs

We are full-timers and have a 36 ft Class A with a Cherokee Trailhawk tow. The second half of the~7 mile gravel road in is a little washboarded in places, but not too bad if we kept it under 30 mph or so. We stayed here for one night in early June on a Thursday. Only two other overnighters, one near the pools and the other across the road. There were only a few day trippers, but I’ve read it can get busy on the weekends. The entire area was clean and nearly free of trash. There is also a pit toilet onsite now. There are 3 pools that are fairly clean as far as natural springs go, as there is usually some algae present. The very hot(180º) and cold water entering the pools is adjustable using the towels and clothing others have left to control the inflow, but stirring the water occasionally helps keep the overall temperature comfortable. The camping areas could be a little sporty with any significant amount of rain. Some areas were fine, but others were very heavily rutted. AT&T coverage was fair, with 2 bars of 5G and speeds up to 4 MB/s.

    Nice spot

Came out here because the road washed out at Paul Bunyan's log pile. Wide open, easy to find a secluded spot. No hiking, no services, decent cell reception. It would be a great spot if you have ATVs, dirt bikes, etc. I just needed a place to try out some new gear so this place worked out.

    Nice park

Overall good campsite, the lock on the bathroom door was broken, not much light pollution, otherwise. DNR officer was kind! Wish there wasn’t so many prickers!

    Perfect campsite outside Moab

Really enjoyed my two night stay! Short hikes around the camp ground were perfect for stretching the legs, clean bathroom, and plenty of space to set up shop. 15 minutes from downtown. Only downside is there’s no shade/coverage and could definitely feel the winds stronger than other areas.

    Quiet and peaceful

Glad we snagged a last minute reservation. Many people coming and leaving as no room. Some FCFS sites but all taken. Clean, quiet, and a friendly host. Our dog loved cooking off in the lake. Wonderful temp and full moon for our mid October visit. We had one bay for ATT service.

    Not like the advertisement

They advertise they have fire pits and shade. What they don’t tell you is they have one shade and I did not see any fire pits except the ones near the glamping tents. Other than that the area is nice. I wouldn’t spend the extra $5 to stay there again. It’s the same thing as staying on North Beach and paying a lot less.

    Beautiful Location!

Awesome location close to Moab. Nicely spaced out campsites with fire pits. Bathrooms at the lake are much cleaner than the campsite ones. The lake is beautiful and you can actually swim in it. 5/5

    Great views

Arrived on a Sunday in September after the reservation only period. Only two campers (including us) on the campground. It is beautifully settled in the hills. The lake is not accessible at this time due to low water level, but the view in all directions is beautiful. Water and electricity hookups are available, free dump station, too.

    Rollin Home RV Park

Nice overnight break before pushing through SLC. Views were very relaxing.

    Rollin Home RV Park

    Nephi, UT

    Site #10, PT, FHU, 1nt.

    Pros:

Long wide Pullthrough,  with grass dividers.  2 service centers to pick from  make setting up easy.

Beautiful views if you pick your spot wisely. (So office isn't out your back window instead of the mountains).

    Clean laundry room.

    Office staff very nice.

Yummy gourmet sweets for sale in the office/store.

Visible & ATT both strong signals.

OTA channels good. Plenty of them & good reception.

    No issues with power.

    Picnic tables.

    Cons:

WIFI spotty. Bounced in/out a bit.

    Water pressure high,  use regulator.

No pool or playground if you need to entertain kids.

    No shade trees.

Overall a very nice newer park & a welcome break before pushing through SLC. We would use them again when in the area.

    TIP:

    #1:  Watch your GPS!

Our Garmin RV890 had us coming in from the South end of Four Mile rd.... only it completely missed the turn ONTO Four Mile (it's just past the refinery). The road has no street sign, no rv park sign etc & said we were still 2m to the turn. Had us going off the asphalt onto gravel, up the mountain a bit to the Four Mile Hunting Club. We got turned around in a parts yard & a local was kind enough to get us back on track. NOT the parks fault,  just a caution that both Garmin. & Waze had no idea where we were.

#2:  The pullthroughs by the office, the road to get to them has a tight right turn & is narrow. It sets you up nicely to pull out the gate in the morning, but might be a problem for a bigger rig if you don't realize it in time. We're only 34' & it was a tight turn for us. If you're a triple axle, or over 40' you might want to look at the Pull-throughs in the 2nd section.
