Several RV campgrounds near Fairview, Utah range from full-hookup resorts to big-rig friendly RV parks ideal for motorhome travelers exploring central Utah. Pleasant Creek RV Resort in nearby Mount Pleasant offers 115 full-hookup sites with both 30 and 50 amp electrical service, operating year-round for seasonal flexibility. Jones High Country RV Park in Nephi features big-rig friendly sites with full hookups, though fires are not permitted within the park boundaries. For RVers seeking more amenities, Castle Gate RV Park in Helper provides spacious pull-through sites with full hookups, picnic tables, and a riverside setting. "Our site was super level for us. Great space between neighbors on our side of the park," noted one Castle Gate visitor, highlighting the park's attention to RV site design. Nine Mile RV Resort in Wellington accommodates larger motorhomes with its 83 sites featuring both 30 and 50 amp service options.

Cell service varies significantly throughout the region's RV campgrounds, with most parks near larger towns offering reliable connectivity for remote workers. Dump stations are available at most RV parks, though Gladstan Golf Course RV Park in Payson lacks this amenity despite offering water and sewer hookups. Pet policies are generally accommodating, with designated pet areas at several parks, though specific breed restrictions exist at some locations. During peak summer months and fall foliage season, advance reservations are strongly recommended as these RV parks fill quickly. Mountain driving conditions can present challenges for larger rigs, particularly when accessing campgrounds at higher elevations. Most RV sites in the area feature gravel pads, though some newer resorts offer concrete pads for easier leveling. Propane service is limited to select locations, requiring planning for extended stays.

      Canyon View RV Park

Just a parking lot, but in a beautiful park/awesome walk/bike trail!

First come, first serve, dump station on site(back of parking lot), friendly camphost; great access to an awesome bike/walk trail, close to town& Walmart

SITE: Water and Electricity only and all amenities worked great. All sites are back in and spaced in a large parking lot. Picnic table per site in the shade under the trees by your site; level site; all concrete; the sites are close together, but it wasn't full so the RVers thoughtfully spaced out from each other; full sun

CELL SERVICE: AT&T worked great- not all bars but it worked well for use working remote and no issues with video calls using our hotspot.

OTHER: Located on the edge of Canyon View Park. The park had just closed as they prep for their annual Christmas light show, but you could still walk on the trail through the park to access the main bike/walk trail which was awesome and goes on for many miles! We loved using this everyday we were there. Bathroom in the park was really clean. Dump station is in the parking lot(super convenient) on the back side. It was super gusty, windy at night and consistent every night from about 11pm- 10am. Maybe it's just seasonal? Make sure your awning is in!

Painted Rocks Campground — Yuba State Park

      Big rig friendly

There is not much to do in the area and the lake is seriously low, but it is a great place to park for a night or two if you want peace and quite and you have a big rig. We have a 42 ft motorhome and a separate pickup with a 6x12 trailer and we fit both in a pull through sie and it looked like there was another 40 feet available. We were in campsite #2 but it looks like there are other sites that are quite long. The site was level with water and 50 among power.

      Lodgepole Campground

Lodgepole Campground - Group Site B

Nice basic campground just coming out of Heber City, UT on your way to Strawberry Reservoir. This is a fairly large campground with numerous sites. The group site parking was shallow. We could barely fit our 19 ft travel trailer and our truck. Outside of the group site it appears there are deeper sites that could accommodate a long fifth wheel. Parking space is wide enough to park another car next to trailer. There are a few tent sites as around the group site pavilion.

No hookups for RV’s. Dump station on site for $10 fee. RV spots are back in only. There is running water and flushable toilets on site; however, the water line was under repair and not turned on during our stay. It sounds like the repairs have been going on for a long time.

There is cellular service, but it’s a little slow. I have sprint carrier and had service.

Negatives: The campground is close a highway incline/decline which is frequented by Semi’s which bring lots of noise to the campground throughout the day and into the night.

Stinging Nettle: lots of stinging nettle located around group site B, so stay on the paths as much as possible.

      Springville / Provo KOA Holiday

      Perfect getaway spot

This place has it all. Clean bathrooms, hot showers, washers n dryers, basketball court, playground, fenced in dog park, a clubhouse building that has arcade games, pool tables, full kitchen, skee ball, dart boards, recliners so comfy you won't wanna get up, all set up around a huge tv screen similar to being at a movie theater, BOWLING, yes bowling, an outdoor swimming pool, awesome friendly happy helpful staff and matience, green sites with power water sewer, pull thru and back in sites, picnic tables, BBQ grills, very family friendly there! And they seem to do cute things throughout the week inviting everyone to join, like free hotdogs and hangout at main pavilion, movie nights, game nights, like they actually care about you as people and not just a payment! Its a nice park for sure!

      Tie Fork Rest Area

      Good Off-Highway Rest Area

Large almost level paved parking area. Good modern rest rooms. Good picnic tables with displays behind rest rooms. Dedicated dog area. Bring ear plugs due to big rig generators and infrequent train horn. Several RVs and big rigs parked here during my overnight stay.

      Lakeside RV Campground

Great access to Provo & Utah Lake

Lakeside was our home for 3 nights while we were in town for Provo’s annual Colonial Festival. I really loved the proximity of this campground to Provo City—12mins to downtown, and the incredible tree coverage here. This campground is beautifully shaded and quite enjoyable for spending time outside on the grounds—even in July.

Across Center St. and behind a field is Provo Airport which is home to (I think,) smaller aircraft as they are audible from the campgrounds, though not excessive. To the west of the campground, separated by a fence is the Lakeside Storage Facility that houses a TON of petrol signs, gadgets & a few vehicles— a free, outdoor museum of gas station memorabilia from a different time. The north side of the campground is surrounded by a quite large river that you can access by a hiking over a large dirt berm. Although this area beside the river is not maintained by the campground, there are stairs in one spot and a couple of foot trails that can take you to the top of the berm. Here you’ll be able to walk along a narrow trail along the river, nearly across the entire north side of the grounds.

This campground is VERY tight knit, as most of the spots don’t have much of a yard and if you have slides you need to be careful not to hit anything. I feel we got the worst site on the grounds— J1. Our 30’ rig hardly fit in the spot and made it difficult to park our truck every day as well as making it difficult for vehicles to pull their rigs behind our spot, squeezing behind our trailer bumper and the fenced dog run. Our yard was also the smallest there, about 2’ at the widest point, narrowing to points at each end. This pull-through spot was the worst part of our experience, but I would definitely like to return.

The front office staff is incredibly kind and accommodating. I’m fairly certain that we could have swapped our spot if we had asked to do so. We used the dog run & playground nearly everyday and stopped by the pool and store a couple of times. This campground seems very well cared-for and was so enjoyable to us that we would return—however next time, we would attempt to reserve a specific spot rather than take the chance at once again landing on J1. All of the sites on the north side of the grounds (purple back-in,) looked wonderful; shaded & quiet, and a few of the sites in the east/ middle side of the grounds like B12 looked wonderful. Most of the end sites in the middle of the campground had a much more enjoyable yard-area. Had we not booked so near Independence Day, we may have been able to request one of these more “premium” sites.

I think we’d like to camp here again when we have friends or family camping with us, we can request a larger site and spend some wonderful summer evenings under the huge shade trees.

      Payson Lakes

      Remote, Quiet and Beautiful

Located in National Forest at 8,000 ft with lots of sites, many of them pull through with fire rings. Lots of trees for privacy and, when we were there 8/25 - 8/27, were the only ones other than the camp hosts. Brought bikes and there were ample riding areas. A couple miles up the hill at 9,000 ft the views are truly spectacular. Continuing over the 38 mile scenic highway is well worth the drive with sheer drop offs demanding full attention ending in Nephi.

    Guide to Fairview

RV camping near Fairview, Utah offers access to central Utah's scenic mountain terrain at elevations reaching 6,000+ feet. The area sits at the edge of the Manti-La Sal National Forest with reliable summer weather patterns and cooler night temperatures even during July and August. Several rv campgrounds near Fairview, Utah serve as strategic bases for exploring both local attractions and regional destinations within a day's drive.

    What to do

Explore Helper's historic downtown: Castle Gate RV Park puts you minutes from Helper's revitalized downtown district. "Downtown Helper is just a short walk away. Cute little area that looks like there is quite a bit of restoration/renovation underway," notes one visitor at Castle Gate RV Park.

Mountain biking in Price: The area offers less crowded trails than Moab while still delivering quality riding experiences. "Stayed here a weekend to get in some mountain biking in nearby Price. Everything in the park is immaculate, and very well maintained," reports an outdoor enthusiast who visited Castle Gate RV Park.

Visit the Fairview Museum: Learn about Mormon pioneer history just 8 miles from Mount Pleasant. According to a camper at Manti - La Sal KOA, "Just 8 miles from the amazing little Fairview museum where we learned about the Mormon pioneers who settled here."

Watch trains at Helper railyard: Railroad enthusiasts can observe working locomotives from nearby camping areas. "There is a really cool rail yard across the street where you can watch slow moving locomotives move railcars," mentions a visitor to Castle Gate RV Park.

    What campers like

Level camping sites: Many campgrounds in the region prioritize level sites for easier setup. One camper at Rollin Home RV Park reported, "Lots of asphalt, new grass. Easy checkin. Facilities are clean and new. Views are nice. Walking path around a field."

Riverside camping options: Several parks offer waterfront sites along the Price River. "We backed up to the river, and our lot was very spacious," notes a visitor at Castle Gate RV Park. Another camper adds, "We took our chairs down to the river bank each evening. So tranquil and relaxing!"

Clean shower facilities: Modern bathroom facilities receive consistent praise from campers. A guest at Esquire Estates Mobile Home and RV Park noted, "The park has a new owner and they have been consistently improving the parks. We were there about a month ago and they just opened up the laundry facility and club house."

Swimming pools at select campgrounds: During hot summer months, pool access provides welcome relief. "Clean restrooms and showers. Great swimming pool. Beautiful camp sites. Easy to find," mentions one camper at Manti - La Sal KOA.

    What you should know

Water pressure varies significantly: Several campgrounds report high water pressure requiring regulators. A camper at Gladstan Golf Course RV Park warns, "The spots are not level, and the water pressure is high. Make sure you have a water regulator."

Train noise at some locations: Railroad proximity affects certain campgrounds more than others. "The trains can get loud if you're not used to hearing them," notes a camper at Castle Gate RV Park, though many add that trains typically don't run through the night.

Limited availability during peak seasons: Advance planning is essential, especially for weekend stays. According to a camper at Jones High Country RV Park, "The manager said the park is normally at capacity with long termers but was able to give us a spot for the night."

Variable cell service: Connectivity improves near larger towns but can be spotty in remote areas. "Both ATT and Verizon have good service here," notes a camper at Canyon View RV Park, while others report more limited coverage in outlying areas.

    Tips for camping with families

Splash pad access: Some campgrounds offer water features for children. "There is a splash area for the kids to beat the heat and a place to play horseshoe," mentions a visitor at Castle Gate RV Park.

Walking paths for kids: Family-friendly paths provide safe recreation options. A camper at Nine Mile RV Resort appreciates that "There are a ton of very well developed sites" with nearby walking opportunities.

Local family activities: The region offers attractions beyond camping. "Castle Dale has so much to offer us because we have 3 kids and there is so much to do in the area. Our kids are 9, 7 and 3 1/2 so it makes things very convenient," reports a visitor to Esquire Estates Mobile Home and RV Park.

Drive-in movie theater access: A unique entertainment option exists near Mount Pleasant. "Quick drive to small town eats and even a drive inn movie theater," notes a camper at Manti - La Sal KOA.

    Tips from RVers

Tight turns in some campgrounds: Large rig navigation requires planning at certain parks. An RVer at Rollin Home RV Park cautions, "The pullthroughs by the office, the road to get to them has a tight right turn & is narrow... If you're a triple axle, or over 40' you might want to look at the Pull-throughs in the 2nd section."

Watch GPS directions carefully: Navigation systems sometimes provide incorrect routing in this area. "Watch your GPS! Our Garmin RV890 had us coming in from the South end of Four Mile rd.... only it completely missed the turn ONTO Four Mile," warns an RVer at Blue Cut RV Park.

Sewer connection placement: Some parks have unusual hookup configurations. "The sewer hookup is located at the back of the site which is a little different but works fine!" notes an RVer at Castle Gate RV Park.

Weather preparation: Mountain locations experience significant temperature swings. "In April, still a bit chilling in the evening/morning. Warmed up nicely in the afternoon," advises a camper at Castle Gate RV Park.
