Great setting
Great setting nestled next to the Colorado river and lower onion creek. Great views in every direction.
Riverside Camping
Really enjoyed this spot had a good view of the river and canyons. Got a little chilly and windy at night so be prepared for that.
Beach Bliss
Did a short overnight rafting trip on the Daily. We put in pretty late not too far above Onion and floated to this lovely little beach spot. We crashed under the stars - no tents - on the pretty little sandy beach. Across the river there is a put in, a bathroom, and parking. Overall a very chill spot. Made for a stary night and an early morning enjoying coffee and the views before hitting the river again.

Directions
The Lower Onion Creek Group Campsite is located approximately 23 miles east of Moab, Utah. Travel on Utah Highway 128 to a sign that says “Fisher Towers”. The Lower Onion Creek Road is directly opposite the Fisher Towers road. Turn north (toward the river) onto the Lower Onion Creek Road. There is no sign marking this road. (Note: the sign on the highway that says “Onion Creek” does NOT mark the road that you want.) Travel on this graded road toward the river; the group site is located at the end of the road.
