    Patriot RV Park

    Electrical issues

The RV Park worked ok for us and what we did in this location. We did see a fluctuation in the electrical power. We had a fan setup in the living room and would change speeds all by itself from almost nothing running to running full speed. Several times per minute.

    Independence City Park

    Not for big rigs

There were 4 of us 40’ RVs. Two of us lost covers off of roof top units. There are trees every where that need trimmed before motorhome can go in without damage.

Karankawa Camping Area — Goliad State Park

    Lots of history

This park was so great. There was all kinds of history there that you can see for very low prices and also for free. In the tone of Goliath at their courthouse to have a famous hanging tree that was used to hang people still standing.. About 3 miles down the road is Presidio La Bahia. Built by the Spanish army in the mid 1700s. Home of the Goliath massacre. If you enjoy history, you're really gonna love the goalie at State park.

    Nice and clean

Nice and clean state park. I'm a ham radio operator and this park is one of the parks that gets activated for parks on the air. I've been doing a couple times and have activated it one time.

    Splashway Campground

Awesome park with tons of activities!

Campsites are a little close together, but well equipped otherwise. Went for The water park, which is a blast, and campsites are within easy walking distance. There are a ton of other activities as well - putt-putt, laser tag, paddle boats, fishing, etc. also had curbside trash pickup which was nice.

Would have been nice if there were some incentives for the water park for campers - early entrance, or discount, but that would be the only thing I would add.
