Inks Lake State Park is great for a day trip or a weekend getaway. Because the lake’s level usually stays constant, you can play here year-round. Inks Lake camping offers many activities such as backpack, geocache, play volleyball, picnic, and observe nature. We have 9 miles of hiking trails through shady forests and across rocky hills. Hike Pecan Flats, a self-guided 3.3-mile trail that is perfect for the whole family, or stop by our bird blind. Rent our group picnic pavilion for your next family reunion. Take a virtual tour with our interactive trails map. On the water, you can swim (no lifeguards on duty), boat, water ski, scuba dive and fish. We have set aside a large, no-wake zone for paddling. Stay at one of nearly 200 campsites or 22 cabins (two are ADA-accessible). Many sites are lakeside or have easy access to the lake. Several camping loops have playgrounds. Flowing over and around huge slabs of limestone, the Pedernales River can be turbulent. But most often it is tranquil, and a great place to relax and recharge. We are just 30 miles west of Austin. Come over for an afternoon swim or hike, or load up your gear for an overnight adventure. The river awaits! Choose a site with water and electricity or hike to a primitive site. Bring your group to the Youth Group Camp or Equestrian Group Camp.

Nice place, arrive early for instructions

Beautiful location and facilities. It was difficult for late arrival to see and erroneously enter private cow pastures. Because we arrived late, we had no instructions on locked shower room. Get instructions be c or arrival. Quiet and relaxing. Worth it to spend more time hear.

    RV beware

No shade...none.  Right next to busy highway so lots of traffic noise. To get to see river you need to go through high weeds.

NO BATHROOMS OR SHOWERS. NOOO POOL!  FIRE ANTS EVERYWHERE.  THIS IS NOT A RESORT!

YOU MAY PAY SIGNIFICANTLY MORE AT REAL RESORTS IN THE AREA BUT IT WOULD BE WORTH IT IN THE 94 DEGREE HEAT WITH ABSOLUTELY NO SHADE. STAYED 4 NIGHTS EVEN WITH AC ON CONTINUOUSLY COULD NOT COOL DOWN RV UNTIL AFTER 8PM.

Our stay at this RV resort in Fredericksburg was nothing short of amazing! Under new management, the improvements are clear, and the staff is absolutely top-notch– friendly, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure a great experience. This resort is perfect for families, with plenty of space, clean facilities, and a welcoming atmosphere that made us feel right at home. One of the highlights was the fantastic on-site restaurant and bar, where we enjoyed delicious meals and drinks. The barrel room was a unique touch, giving us a fun, upscale experience right on the property. The resort is spotless, and it’s clear that a lot of care goes into maintaining the grounds and facilities. Fredericksburg itself offers endless activities, from visiting local wineries to exploring the charming shops downtown. Whether you're looking to relax or find adventure, this RV resort is the ideal place to stay. We can't wait to come back and make more memories!

    Okay time

It was a fun time. Site 100 was away from everyone and it was nice and quiet. I enjoyed my time here as a first time travel trailer person. It was nice. I didn’t use the bathrooms there and I didn’t see the showers but I’d go back.

    Spectacular RV Resort

This place is BRAND NEW and has all the bells and whistles.

Loved the modern pool and pickle ball courts they had available. Something about waking up and seeing soo many deer walk around the resort was the highlight of my stay. We were even able to rent a golf cart and explore the 250-acres of nature.

    A True Gem

This campground is truly something special. The landscape is breathtaking, the trail leading back to the tent spots is definitely for those looking for something a little more challenging to get to, and the river is there for you to chill by to swim, fish, kayak, etc. There’s also a ton of wildlife. Saw some bald eagles, reptiles, fish, turtles, heard coyotes howling at night, and saw tracks of some larger animals. There’s some stores not too far away if you need things in a pinch. Colorado Bend State Park is right next door for those looking for some additional hikes and sights. And there’s several distilleries and vineyards in close proximity. I’ll definitely be coming back here.

    Great Off Road camping destination

This is not a campground this is an adventure park that has a campground. They have everything from primitive dispersed tent camping to RV site hook ups all the way up to a $600 per night cabin. They have excellent off road trails for stock trucks up to rock crawling rigs. They have a basic general store near the tent camping area that is decently stocked (yet overpriced) and they have food trucks that are sometimes open sometimes aren’t. The bathrooms are maintained and spacious enough that they don’t feel over crowded. They also have a shooting range on site so if you want the true Texas Hill Country experience you should check out HFAP. Be respectful on the trails not only to other people but also by not tearing up the trails themselves.
